When I played it:

My -2 Charisma Wizard was able to talk his way through a bunch of encounters so I missed out on some the more dangerous aspects of the scenarios. (He may of had a little help from the Oracle 5 / Divine Scion 3 and the Samurai with maxed out Diplo but just a little ;)
