Both Bartolomey and Brun miss with their attacks against the last of the ghasts, but Kelumur brings his typical level of precision to bear. With two quick slices of his daggers, he destroys Tholrist's final minion.

"Raaahhh! You will feel the kiss of Yamasoth's torment," shouts the priest. He flees further into from the whirling machine of destruction that is Kelumur, but not before raising a fist and calling forth a multicolored explosion of leaping, ricocheting energy that wildly lashes out at everyone in the room.

Everyone inside the black circle, please make a DC 20 Will save. PCs with lawful alignments who fail the save take the damage below and become slowed for the rounds indicated. Half damage and no slowed condition on a successful save. Neutral characters automatically take half damage and do not suffer the slowed effect, but may attempt the save to reduce the damage by an additional half (that is, you take one quarter of the full damage below).

Cade, I'm afraid you're slowed and take full damage as you're a Lawful character (as am I)...if you were true Neutral or Neutral Good or Neutral Evil, then you'd get the half damage and no slow condition. At least you didn't get hammered like me...as a Lawful Good character, I got the full brunt of both spells; being Good got me the first time and being Lawful the second...

Once again Orophin reaches out to the living things is the world. The worms. The snails. The bats. The rats. From each one he borrows a tiny portion of their spark of life, filling himself with tremendous energy and zest for the land of the living. And then, when so full that he might burst asunder with joy, he sings - of love, and life, and joy.

Though Kelumur is out of action, Arnold heeds his sage advice, urging his mount to pick its way through the caltrops and behind Tholrist. He isn't close enough to protect the half-orc, but hopes to pose a bigger threat.

Kelumur stays paralyzed from Tholrist's deadly attacks, and is unable to partake in combat for now. But he keeps his eyes focused on Tholrist.

Flyn, if I'm not mistaken, you were standing behind that wall before this turn, so if you were shooting at Tholrist, you'll need to step out into the doorway. Even you can't shoot THROUGH a wall, my friend. :)

Bartolomey and Brun coordinate their attacks with fists and magical glaive, but the evil priest proves too powerful for them and avoids both strikes.

Feeling rather claustrophobic surrounded by Brun and Arnold, Tholrist takes a calculated risk and moves away from the pair, charging right past the wayang and his mount before turning and casting a spell to send the phantom back to the Ethereal Plane.

Brun and Arnold may attempt attacks of opportunity.

GM: I shot from the doorway and then moved 5' east after the shot...I've been playing hide and seek with Tholrist...the turn before I moved 5' west from where I am currently at and fired...this turn I fired and moved back to that spot...trying to avoid any more nasty spells...

Having already positioned himself in a guard's stance, Arnold stabs as Tholrist passes. He then follows along and continues the assault. "Stay still!"

Honorbound Emissaries

Orophin's healing energy spreads out and helps heal his allies' wounds, while his glaive continues to assault the cackling priest of Yamasoth.

Healing affects Kelumur and Cade (and Brun if he passes his save), but does not affect Flyn, as he is around the corner and is therefore not in the area of effect for a burst effect as specified on page 214 of the CRB.

Cade begins moving around the mosaic area to close in Tholrist together with Arnold, while the Wayang and his mount move in from the other direction. Arnold's attack nearly catches the priest, but he proves too swift yet again.

GM: Think I should be at -21 as opposed to -31...I know was out of range of his last channel, but Orophin's channeling prior to his last one healed 12 and I was at -33 then...

Once again, Bartolomey's spiritual weapon is unable to harm the priest.

Tholrist watches with loathing as Flyn emerges from the hallway. "So, elf, finally decided to join us, have you? Good, why don't you stay for a while?" He steps away from the long reach of Arnold's lance and weaves a spell to hold Flyn in place and keep the threat at bay for a while if he can.

Flyn, make a Will save vs enchantment or become paralyzed for 8 rounds or until you make a successful save on a later round.

This guy's AC seems to be very high...if there's anything we can do to increase our to hit chances, it might help...I think a few our party need close to a nat 20 to hit it...
