No prob, thats tbe way the game works! Really just kicking myself. But I had heard about nasty swarms in this one from someone and I didnt want to break the player/PC barrier too much.

Cool! Yep, I'm GMing this at GenCon and just read through it earlier today. I'm anticipating being done early during that session....

Party makeup & experience is the determining element here, though the 4-player adjustment really helped you (there would have been 3 more vescavor swarms otherwise). A party with low will saves, no Countersong, no ability to deal with swarms or bad luck can quickly TPK here. The confusion effects and adding saves can make the situation pretty unmanageable.

When we played it last month, our VC played his Thundercaller bard, which gave us Countersong and sonic damage. The Paladin had a swarmbane clasp, so we were pretty safe there. Same with you, I think that Ace saved the day!

Good lord.. I mean AC 38+ vs level 10 and below guys? Thats the AC of a CR 20.. Most of us need 20's to hit him then.. Thats fair.. I suppose they wouldn't an ex character to be put down to easy.. I thought someone weilding a cestus, which is strapped to your arm, is always threatning..

I couldn't agree more with you. His AC/defensive capabilities for sutier 10-11 are really high, certainly too much for this level. Don't forget that Kyle Baird wrote this scenario...

Luckily for you, he doesn't shine in many other areas.

- I'll start "No Plunder, No Pay" (7-11) next week, for those who signed up (EF, Tektite & Derek). I won't be able to do anything this week-end because I'm getting married tomorrow, so hopefully we can finish this scenario today so that your characters are unlocked. The CS are ready and will be put online as soon as we're finished.

Tell you what, this party is fun to play with, so I'll have you along Darius. I planned on taking EF, Tektite and Rycky (who are the three who wished for this scenario), as well as Osric. If you come, I'll gladly accept you for the ride (though I hope your characters can swim!)

Now I have a little trepidation about the upcoming scenario. (Especially since EF just TPK'd our party on the first encounter of 6-02 Silver Mount Collection!)

I've read posts about that scenario (Silver Mount). But I also read about this one, and most complaints were about the first encounter here too.

But we'll have three archers in our group hopefully we stay ABOVE water!

Will there be a healer? Ive noticed a trend in the nods getting harder in season 5 so i suppose its getting carried over to 6.. I guess they got tired of the complaints about things being to easy..

Yep! I'm down for No Plunder, No Pay! It's a fun one. I'll tell the epic story from when I GM'd it after we play it (or you can probably find it in the favorite moments thread).

If we know we're going on a ship Atum will probably pick up a few potions and things to help with the water. But he's got a decent Swim for being in full plate (+8). Mithral sure helps, although it really broke the bank.

APL would be 9.1 or 9.3, so high APL with 6 people. It's a season 1 scenario by the way.
