Pdfs qualify and I just trust you to do the right thing. If you do use the book then you just follow the guidelines for adding three mythic tiers and you'll have more options other then those listed on the chronicle.

Ability Damage heals with a good night's sleep, right? So my 1 Damage of Wisdom will be healed by the next day? I ask because I need to know whether I actually need to buy a Lesser Restoration spell.

I personally physically bought the Mythic Campaign book. But truthfully, I was looking for excuses to do that anyway. I also have the files for Hero Lab.

I would beware of adding mythic to your campaign though. It can fundamentally change the nature of the game.

Damage and ability damage don't carry over when you move to a new scenario, even if the scenarios follow each other up.

The official rule for naturally healing ability damage in a game that includes a next day: you heal 1 ability score point for a full 8 hours of rest in a day, or 2 ability score points for each full day of complete rest.

M Human Inquisitor (Preacher) of Gorum 5

So... if we suppose that I have all the relevant books, I get to apply three mythic tiers for the next session and ignore what the chronicle sheet says about mythic? That's pretty awesome.

I'm using Mythic in my home Rise of the Runelords game. I don't think I'd recommend it if you have any players that are not quite as tactically minded as a typical player. You only benefit from having those mythic points if you use them, and my players tend to forget half the time that they have the options available to them.

My players really don't forget. If anything the opposite is true. There's nothing like a mythic magic missile to put the fear of god into you.

There is an AP built with Mythic rules in mind. Wrath of the Righteous set in the world wound during the events where the ward stones start failing. I'm a little bit behind on the chronicles. I will try and get them done on Friday and we can hopefully start part 3 next week.

Great stuff in the game play thread. I like the variety in how this power is effecting everyone. Again feel free to add anything you wish to do on your way out.

The Exchange

LN Female Human Oracle4 Init +2; AC21, Touch12, FF19, CMD16/14; hp 34/34; Fort +2, Ref +3, Will +4 (+2 vs disease, mind-affect, poison); Perception: +0; Spells: 1st - 6/8, 2nd - 4/5;

Mythic tiers give so much power and only issue I have with bringing my character ready is that I am damn scared to imagine, what we will face during Part 3 of this scenario. As well, I probably need advice on how to spend my money, since that is always an issue after level 2.

The Exchange

Female Human (Varisian) Oracle 5 | HP 34/48 (0 NL) | AC: 19 [SoF ++1]; T 14 [SoF ++1]; FF 16 | CMD 18 | Fort +4* | Ref +4* | Will +4* | Init +4 | Percept +4

Khismia, I'm not stealing your schtick, honest! This solitary communication was the result of the initial power surge allowing Tooley to reach out briefly. He won't be conversing, or even "talking" again.

What I envisioned was this: When the Ruby Sage sent out her power, there were two entities intertwined. One a bit scared and confused, the other distracted and indulging in self-loathing, both youthful and of good character. It was essentially a coin toss and, in the end, the Mythic energy went to Tooley instead of his host.

And with Tuich being such a tragic figure, it just fits that she would be bypassed in preference to her ghost. :o)

No mechanical difference at all, and I'm not sure how much I'll be able to role-play it as Tuich working through Tooley. But it seemed too interesting an opportunity to pass up.

The Exchange

Tuich, no worries! This might be interesting and I like, when one have new experience. I though a bit putting my haunt in background (a bit ran out of ideas, how to bring it again and again).

The Exchange

I decided to attribute several permanent changes I made to Dylara to the Ruby Sage's magic, which somehow changed the nature of Dylara's own abilities.

The permanent +1 to strength from reaching level 4 is one of the things that'll be a 'leftover' from the Ruby Sage's influence, because Dylara also gets a temporary +2 to strength from the mythic abilities. Just like the Adopted Weapon Training and Ancestral Ally boons, which I won during PbP Gameday 3 and applied to Dylara.

I decided to stop slacking off and you should all have a PM with a link to your chronicle. I have also reported the game as well. Feel free to update your characters, and hopefully you all have an idea in mind for your mythic powers.

You asked us to pick and report two from the list earlier. When you say "have an idea in mind for your mythic powers" are you talking about something else?

Hi, friends! Despite being overwhelmed with numerous options, I made Khismia inline with current campaign.

Because of Chronicles applied, she is now Oracle4 with Charisma 18. She took enchanced diplomacy and silence spells at level 4 and murderous command as favourite class bonus spell. Some minor equipment swap: MW armoured coat replaced with MW breastplate, took MW cold iron morningstar and sold spear. Bought couple of adamantine weap. blanches and amulet of nat. armor +1 just in case. Still have some (1.5k) money left and would like to listen to any advises you have.

For my mythic tear, I selected Hierophant. That gave me Inspired Spell surge, and Mythic Spellcasting (mythic spells power), Relentless Healing (like breath of life, but per 1 mythic point) and Eldritch Breach (roll twice take best if overcomming SR) path abilities. Mythic ability bonus goes to Charisma (to a total of 20) and two feats are Spell Focus (enchantment) and Mythic Spell Focus (enchantment). Mythic spells are bane, murderous command and CMW.
From list of options, i take Legendary Magic and Adsorb Blow.

@Tuich: Some of the other players have the Mythic book so they have more options then what is just on the chronicle. The full rules are on the Mythic 1 and Mythic 2 chronicles in the drop box link I sent out.

@Khismia: It is my understanding if you use the Mythic source book to add the mythic tiers you do not get the chronicle sheet options.

Episodes are released "simultaneously" on the Rooster Teeth site and crunchyroll. I'm not sure if the YouTube release is delayed from that or not.

The traditional launch point has been RTX, with public release following thereafter.

I haven't seen a formal statement from Rooster Teeth on whether RWBY will continue, although there is this:

Quote:
[Matt Hullum, the chief executive of Rooster Teeth] said the company plans to continue and expand “RWBY,” soon to be a video game. “Everybody wants to see Monty’s legacy continue,” he said.

If you've ever wondered what life on the 'other side' is like, this is for you. I'm starting a planescape (the good old 2nd ed Ad&d setting) pilot module, just to get back to my DM-ing roots. This setting is much less battle-heavy than Golarion/PFS, and very much philosophy based. If you want to know more, look here (link), and give me a shout or a pm if you're interested. I'm looking for people who enjoy a nice bit of roleplaying, and it doesn't matter to me at all if you're unfamiliar with the setting.

You'll have to ask him about the link though.

Okay, questions about mythic-ness, since I've only ever played under a subset of those rules with a commoner.

For the AoO, am I correct in thinking that A) she could have Surged and added d6+1 to her attack roll, (guaranteeing a critical threat)?

Less likely, could she have also B) invoked Amazing Initiative to pick up another attack? I'm thinking not (more because it's an AoO than it being in combination with the Surge).

There's a Universal Path Ability available at 1st tier called Legendary Item (Ex).

Mythic Adventures pg 50 wrote:
Legendary Item (Ex): You gain a legendary item (see page 169). This item grants a number of abilities equal to your tier (maximum 3). At 3rd tier, you can select this ability again, increasing the maximum to six abilities and causing the item to become a lesser artifact. At 6th tier, you can select this ability again, increasing the maximum to 10 abilities; the item then becomes a greater artifact.

I spent 2 of my path abilities on Legendary Item (1st and 3rd tier) to make it qualify for "lesser artifact" abilities. I'm using my sword as my legendary item.

A legendary item has several base abilities:
Mythic Bond: It can only be used effectively by me (I can use my own Mythic Power in place of its Legendary Power if I need to)
Legendary Power: It has a pool of 2 uses/day for other powers
Legendary Surge: Basically the same as Mythic Surge, but uses Legendary Power.

The item gets 3 abilities on top of that (based on tier), so I chose Powerful twice, which increases its pool to 6/day Legendary Power. For the last one, I chose Foe-Biting.

Mythic Adventures pg 72 wrote:

Foe-Biting: When this item deals damage, its user can use mythic power to double the total amount of damage it deals. If the attack is a normal attack, the bearer can expend one use of legendary power to double the total amount of damage. If the attack is a confirmed critical hit, the bearer must instead expend two uses of legendary power to double the total damage. Damage from weapon special abilities (such as flaming) and precision-based damage are also doubled.

This ability can be applied only to weapons. An item must be a minor or major artifact to have this ability.

Yeah, no. I think we can just handwave it that Dylara, being an awesome druid with godlike powers, just brings Melon back to life at the end of the adventure. Because mechanically speaking there's just no difference with replacing Melon 1.0 with Melon 2.0. So why not just pretend?

In the immortal words of Lisa Simpson, "I had a cat named Snowball. She died. She died. My mother claimed she was only sleeping. She lied! She lied!"

I'll have to sell practically everything Dylara owns, but I'm getting a raise dead for Melon at the end of the scenario. It'll be a set back game-wise, but so be it. Dylara would do it to get her friend back.

It's a pity money can't change hands between PFS PCs. (It can't, right?) Because Tuich would give you everything she has to help.

This is from the PFS FAQ

If you lose a companion during the course of a scenario, work with your GM for that scenario to properly note the loss on your Chronicle sheet. You should also note that you’ve gained your new companion. The new companion is ready for play in the next scenario after your previous companion died. Newly summoned animal companions begin play knowing a number of tricks equal to the bonus tricks granted based on your druid level. All other tricks require the use of Handle Animal to train the new animal companion as normal.

Here is the section from the core rule book.

If a druid releases her companion from service, she may gain a new one by performing a ceremony requiring 24 uninterrupted hours of prayer in the environment where the new companion typically lives. This ceremony can also replace an animal companion that has perished.

Did Melon know any additional tricks? You'll have to retrain those of it did. Other then marking it on the chronicle that should cover all the mechanical requirements, so flavor wise it could be the same Melon. I see no reason to charge 5000 gold for flavor.

LN Female Human Oracle4 Init +2; AC21, Touch12, FF19, CMD16/14; hp 34/34; Fort +2, Ref +3, Will +4 (+2 vs disease, mind-affect, poison); Perception: +0; Spells: 1st - 6/8, 2nd - 4/5;

From rules point of view, this still changes some things:
Previously Melon new 6+2 tricks, after this scenario it will know only 2 tricks. To make Melon learn new tricks you need to do Handle Animal check (or Take10) per trick and max number of tricks it can learn after scenario is limited by number of ranks in your Handle Animal skill. I would like to believe there were no acid damage inside of creature to dissolve all the items Melon was wearing.

About money (how I rulled that in home):
The Pathfinder Agents can find numerous valuable items in course of the scenario. They tend to leave them behind, because it doesn't worth effort to carry several dirty scale mails or kobold-sized golden throne decorated with gemstones (when you can just get gemstones). If someone dies, party can pile any amount of money from their fonds as well as utilize this resources in order to bring him back to life. So if you want to raise dead Melon, probably we might find some resources for that, but remember - after returning to life it will have 2 permanent negative levels, so it will cost you some Prestige or more gold to have them removed.

From roleplay perspective - Khismia have a mythic power to raise dead (during 1 round :() - so we can play it out, that Khismia cast her healing spell (I am ready to lose 1 2nd lvl spell and 1 mythic surge) to restore Melon back to life, but since it was heavily damaged by weird snake creature, you sent it away to wait for our return.

Here is what Khismia is referring too.

You can teach any animal a trick so long as you follow the rules for Handle Animal on pages 97–98 of the Pathfinder RPG Core Rulebook. A GM must observe your Handle Animal check, and must initial what tricks the animal gained in the "Conditions Gained" section of the scenario's Chronicle sheet. The first time a character with levels in druid, ranger, or any other class that grants an animal companion gains an animal companion, the animal enters play knowing its maximum number of tricks as dictated by the animal companion's Intelligence and the character's effective druid level. If the character replaces the animal companion for any reason, the new animal starts with no tricks known, save for bonus tricks granted based on the PC's effective druid level. Once per scenario, you may attempt to train the animal companion a number of times equal to the number of ranks you have in the Handle Animal skill. Each success allows you to teach the animal a single trick; a failed attempt counts against the total number of training attempts allowed per scenario, and you may not attempt to teach the same trick until the next scenario. Alternatively, you may train one animal for a single purpose as long as you have enough ranks in Handle Animal to train the animal in each trick learned as part of that purpose. You may take 10 on Handle Animal checks to teach an animal companion tricks.

So it looks like new Melon can learn up to 3 tricks at the end + the 2 bonus tricks.
