Arletta quickly warms to your party, "Oh, thank heavens! I don't know what's going on. I wasn't myself at all, but then I accidentally touched the sphere and instantly felt better. Everybody else is still acting weird; I don't trust them." Arletta pulls out a small stone disc that glows slightly, "I found this, and I think that whatever's inside is looking for it. We found two more like it, and pushed them through that crack in the wall."

"It is glowing with a simple light cantrip it seems. Anyone have the ability to analyze such objects further?" Having seen Illuthion touch the orb before to determine the properties, he makes subtly less subtle by looking directly at him.

"Yeah yeah Shis-o-maniac. I got ya" he answers, rolling his eyes as he grabs the disk from Arletta's hand. "So, we wanna try and get someone else to touch that orb? Or we good with just having one person we can trust here?" he asks as he begins to analyse the object with his occult powers.

Upon touching the first to receive (whoever that is), you see the receiver of the "spell" get stronger as Tsishad gets weaker, but he quickly uses his Wand on himself and feels better again. I won't be offended if someone doesn't accept.

He then begins giggling at his own joke.

@Aelfward: The disc goes into your handy haversack without any problems.
After buffing up, you move into the complex and the first thing you see is a large alcove filled with a stone fountain beneath a carving of a cyclops breaking free of clutching tentacles. The fountain’s basin is full of clear water and radiates a magical aura.

"Uhhh... OK? I mean. Sure." says Illuthion cautiously as he accepts' Tsishad's "gift". The jot of energy almost feels like a sting. "Yowza! What the shit yo? What's that thing do to you?" he exclaims, seeing how it not only affects him, but the Wayang as the disc gets passed around. Shaking his head, he does accept Blub's offer of a wand charge.
"You're a'right, for a stoner chooch."

"Hold your d... Sh... Dude, your thing with my way of talking is total censorship yo!" the occultist complains as he begins to inspect the fountain, getting down on his knees to inspect the sigils, the way in which the water arcs out, relating it's position to the naturally occurring lay-lines. A minute later, he gets up with a frown. "It ain't bad for ya. At least, I don't think it is. Makes you extra slippery for a day. Like, you can't be grappled. Unless you got some kind of mega chooch trying to grapple your shit. like them Shoanti barbarian wrestlers. Their shit's intense."

Illuthion, a weary expression on his face, decides to carefully drink from the fountain before people start walking through it.

Unless somebody specifically wants to avoid the fountain, I will assume everybody drinks from it.
After everybody has drunk from the pool of water, you start checking doors in the hallway.
The walls here feature mosaics of a stylized cyclops wearing an ornate one-eyed mask and commanding other cyclopes. In the carving, the cyclops places the mask upon other cyclopes to reverse several ailments, including blindness and even death. A large slab in the northwestern corner holds only dust, but a smaller shelf above it bears a one-eyed mask.

Illuthion peers into the room carefully. "Hold up guys."

Looking about the room, Illuthion makes sure that there are no hidden surprises for the party before walking in. Taking in the murals, he nods with awe and tonelessly whistles. "A'right. I know what I'm doing once we've made sure there ain't no chooches waiting for our shit. Actually, maybe we could take some time now to sketch this. Oh hey, look there, a mask like the one they keep f+#&ing drawing. Let me check that shit."
Picking up the mask, the half-elf examines it thoroughly.
One minute later
"Hmm. An ancient veil of fleeting glances with extra protections against petrification and blindness. What the f!%+ were they f#~#ing arou... Yeah yeah, I know. Language. But still. You don't leave this... thing... lying around if you don't have chooches with petrificating or blinding bul... Ahem. Abilities. Around."

The next room in the hallway contains nothing of note, but the double doors at the end reveal a vastly different scene. This wide room has two alcoves to the west and east. The western alcove bears mosaics of a burly cyclops with a flail and shield. In one image, a human with a conical hat hands the cyclops the flail; in each other image, the large cyclops is smashing fiends or serpent-headed humanoids with it. A large slab in this alcove is empty, but a shelf above it contains a fine looking heavy flail and a steel shield. The smaller alcove to the east contains two slabs; above them are depictions of a pair of cyclopes servants tending to the burly cyclops’s needs.
To the east, a hooded woman cowers, pointing a longbow at the two double-headed serpents in the west alcove. "Please, help me!".

"What the shit?" blurts illuthion in dismay from behind the ancient mask, as he racks his brain to try and identify these creatures.

Averting Eyes: The opponent avoids looking at the creature's face, instead looking at its body, watching its shadow, tracking it in a reflective surface, etc. Each round, the opponent has a 50% chance to avoid having to make a saving throw against the gaze attack. The creature with the gaze attack, however, gains concealment against that opponent.
Wearing a Blindfold: The foe cannot see the creature at all (also possible to achieve by turning one's back on the creature or shutting one's eyes). The creature with the gaze attack gains total concealment against the opponent.

The woman moves forward, fires an arrow at Periel, and drops her hood to reveal snakes where her hair should be. The serpents try to bite Illuthion, who dodges all but one attack.

Tsishad tries to blind the medusa, then backs away to supposed safety. Periel and Kyra both close their eyes and cast spells. Blub Blub hits the medusa with a bolt of sticky goo, but she manages to keep her arms and legs out of the congealing mass. Aelfward shuts his eyes tight, and pulls his bedding out of his backpack. Illuthion chops into the red-scaled serpent.
Epiphania hits Periel with another arrow, and one of the big snakes bites Illuthion.
