Hoping he has gained some adventage from being out of sight, Xavian will wait until one of the Slayers moves to within 30' of him before trying to strike with an arrow.

I'm hoping to be able to get off at least one sneak attack from concealment before having to engage in melee with these fellas. If that goes according to plan,

Bow: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22 for Arrow: 1d4 + 1 + 2d6 ⇒ (3) + 1 + (6, 1) = 11

Technic Siege/Full Map

You rolled well, and I'm inclined to give it to you. Melee with this bunch can get pretty dangerous...

Xavian's arrow follows Belvica's into a gladiator, sending him to the ground bleeding! His chest continues to rise and fall, so he could be saved after the fight...

The remaining Silver Slayers move a bit closer, each unleashing a shield in an attempt to trip the party!

Tripping throw v. Tristan: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23

Tristan falls to the ground!

Trip v. Belvica: 1d20 + 3 - 2 ⇒ (12) + 3 - 2 = 13

Belvica hops over the low-thrown shield!

Trip v. Xavian: 1d20 + 3 - 2 ⇒ (14) + 3 - 2 = 15

Xavian is not so lucky, and the shield just catches him enough to trip him up!

To be clear, the center opponent tossed at Tristan. The right-side one threw at Xavian to avoid cover. Left-side at Belvica. The team is well-trained in working together, fighting in the arena, etc. So I feel this type of action is completely justified for them. Besides, you guys haven't gotten hurt just yet...

Round 2:
Xavian prone
Silver Slayers
Belvica
Tristan prone
Heccan
Helkit & pet

Scarab Sages

F Dwarf Ranger(Guide) 5 AC 25, touch 14, flat-footed 23, hp 45

Derrick, I shot the female gladiator, I don't know if it matters but her pic should have been erased.

Belvica five foot steps forward and attacks the guy with the feathered helm with her bow 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17 if hits 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12

She then arms her shield and war axe for the fun to come.

Dark Archive

Male Human Sorcerer 10 | AC 24/T 14| FORT +6 REF +7 WILL +12 | Init +2 | Perception + 1 | Sense Motive +13

Heccan holds his current position and once again summons his infernal might, launching another pair of back/red missiles at and into Helkit.

Actions and Rolls:
Heccan takes a standard action to cast magic missile at Helkit.

MM: 1d4 + 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (2) + (1) + 2 = 5

Silver Crusade

M Human Paladin 4 | HP: 36/36 | AC 21/11/20| FORT +9 REF +5 WILL +7 | Init +1 | Perception + 1 | Sense Motive +5

Sorry, yes my round 1 action was a double move, thought I typed all that, but it didn't come through.

Round 2

Tristan stands up from his prone position, then stepping slightly forward he attacks one of the slayers with his longsword, declaring a smite on him as he comes.

Tristan Longsword, smite, powerattack: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (13) + 10 = 23
Dmg if hit, smite, PA: 1d8 + 13 ⇒ (8) + 13 = 21

So that is move action to stand, 5' step, swift action to call smite, standard action to attack. I checked the messageboard for standing from prone and 5' step in same turn and while there is a bit of disagreement, the majority consensus allows it. Do you? The relevant PRD quote is spoilered below (emphasis mine).

5' step RAW:
You can move 5 feet in any round when you don't perform any other kind of movement. Taking this 5-foot step never provokes an attack of opportunity. You can't take more than one 5-foot step in a round, and you can't take a 5-foot step in the same round that you move any distance.

Technic Siege/Full Map

@Belvica - Sorry about the mixup on the tokens. Since it took both hits to bring one down, let's just leave the ones there. @Tristan - I handle it the way you've done it. As long as your move action doesn't involve actually moving, I am OK with a 5' step. Standing up doesn not involve moving any distance (for which you'd have to be in another grid square, IMO.)

Bel's arrow is not quite on target. Heccan's missiles strike true. Tristan lands a savage blow, felling another gladiator in one swift stroke!

Helkit sends in her battle cat/wolf, which swings around behind Tristan but can't yet attack.

Then she expands to double her size, flies into a vicious rage and charges the holy warrior!

Enlarged Charging Raging Attack: 1d20 + 12 + 2 - 1 ⇒ (2) + 12 + 2 - 1 = 15

In her hurry, she misses and leaves herself more exposed to a counterstrike!

Round 3:
Xavian
Silver Slayers
Belvica
Tristan
Heccan
Helkit & pet

Xavian stands up and fires twice more, moving to the next closest enemy not engaged in melee!

Rapid Shot: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (19) + 9 = 28 for Damage: 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Rapid Shot: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15 for Damage: 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6

EDIT : Ah yes, I was prone but I'm not moving anywhere so that's easily remedied. Thanks.

Scarab Sages

F Dwarf Ranger(Guide) 5 AC 25, touch 14, flat-footed 23, hp 45

Aren't you still prone?

Technic Siege/Full Map

Rapid Shot can only be used as part of a full attack, so you just get the first shot.

Xavian hops up and puts an arrow in one of the Slayers!

They retaliate. One moves towards Xavian, the other steps up to whack at Tristan with a flail held in both hands!

Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23
Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5

Not sure if that still hits your smiting AC.

Round 3:
Xavian

[ooc]If okay with you, I would prefer to delay until after Heccan. If the Slayer near me is still standing then, please act below, if he is down, let's turn this attack on Helkit herself, and move the 5' step towards her instead. Thanks!

Round 3

Finding himself at the center of attention, Tristan says a quick prayer to Iomedae. He will be a much harder nut for this group to crack than his softer companions, who can pick them apart from range while the holy warrior stands his ground.

"By the Inheritor's holy name, I will bring pirate scum like you to justice!" cries Tristan, using his last smite ability against Helkit.

He groans a bit as the Slayer's flail smashes his into his breastplate, but shrugs it off quickly concentrating on the minion first, he 5' steps out of the flank, and attacks the next Slayer.

Tristan longsword, PA: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19
Dmg if hit, PA: 1d8 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15

Belvica, ranger's focus and charge, plus flanking against the wildcat because I go before tristan 1d20 + 8 + 2 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 8 + 2 + 2 + 2 = 21 if hit 1d10 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 5 + 2 = 14

Heccan continues his barrage of dark arcane energy and unleashes another pair of red black missiles at Helkit. His eyes flash red and his grin takes on a very subtle wickedness.

Magic Missiles: 1d4 + 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (1) + (1) + 2 = 4

Technic Siege/Full Map

Belvica's blade cuts into the side of the animal, and it howls in pain but remains standing. Heccan's magical bolts continue to pepper Helkit, and she curses quietly as they strike.

Tristan's sword finishes what Xavian's arrow began, and a third Silver Slayer falls to the sand.

Then Helkit calls out to her pet thylacine:

"Brmstone, flank!"

Helkit moves into position near Tristan, then her pet does too...

Helkit swings her greataxe!

Helkit v. Tristan (enlarged, raging, outflank): 1d20 + 12 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 12 + 4 = 27
Damage - enlarged, rage and challenge: 3d6 + 8 + 3 ⇒ (2, 5, 4) + 8 + 3 = 22

The cat/wolf bites at the paladin!

Bite w/ outflank: 1d20 + 9 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 9 + 4 = 17

The pet's jaws do not close on the warrior!

EDIT: FACEPALM! I forgot to adjust the encounter for 4 players. So the last Silver Slayer vanishes and the shifting sands hazards go away!

Round 4:
Xavian
Belvica
Heccan

Xavian steps from around the pillar and sends two arrows at the leader!

Only fair to use the roll I made previously so the first arrow is a To-Hit of 15 for 6 damage if it strikes.

Second Arrow: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (20) + 9 = 29 for Damage: 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5

Heccan's smile becomes wider and a bit more sinister, his eyes flashing red, he continues to allow the dark magics that boil under his skin the release it craves and launches another set of red black missiles at Helkit.

Magic Missile: 1d4 + 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + (1) + 2 = 7

Silver Crusade

M Human Paladin 4 | HP: 36/36 | AC 21/11/20| FORT +9 REF +5 WILL +7 | Init +1 | Perception + 1 | Sense Motive +5

As a swift action, Tristan lays hands on himself calling to Iomedae to help heal his many wounds so he can keep fighting in her honor. Still quite wounded, he steps back from the enlarged Helkit, reaches for a healing potion, and downs it quickly.

Lay on Hands: 2d6 ⇒ (3, 2) = 5
Cure Serious Wounds potion: 3d8 + 5 ⇒ (5, 5, 1) + 5 = 16

Swift action to lay on hands, 5' step to clear threat area, move action to grab potion, standard to drink it. Tristan at 30/36 hp after all that.

Technic Siege/Full Map

Luckily a 15 is just enough to hit her enlarged raging AC!

Xavian's arrows find their mark, with the second delivering an especially powerful blow!

Belvica's axe bites deep into the powerful cat/wolf's flank, and Heccan's bolts of force strike true!

Tristan steps back to heal himself.

Helkit, her breathing labored as she bleeds from many serious wounds, stops a moment and calls out:

"I yield! You have proven yourselves worthy and powerful adversaries!"

She lowers her axe, but does not drop it. Her last gladiator does the same with his flail.

Helkit (-51)
Brimstone (-29)

Talking is an immediate action (or not an action) they have not forfeited their turn, but await your response!

Release your weapons and kneel! You have until the count of three. Xavian then readies an attack on the enlarged leader if they do not comply.
One...
Two...

Helkit let's her Axe fall to the ground then calls her pet to heel as she holds up her opens hands.

Heccan dusts himself off from the all of the grime that has no doubt formed on his otherwise impeccable attire. He confidently strides forth and addresses Helkit. Well then, I suppose I can cross off "risk death in arena" from my life list. Good show everyone, though you certainly made it difficult my lady Heccan bows deeply in half jest to Helkit. Now, the matter at hand. We have bested you and we hold you to your bargain. Tell us now why you are targeting the Pathfinder Society and be quick about it. While you are at it, tell us about the whole Szarni affair. I have some debts of my own to settle on that account. Heccan crosses his arms and flashes Helkit a charmingly wicked grin. Oh, and we are both Pathfinders and formidable, turns out a good deal of us are. You should consider that before you speak.

Heccan awaits the noble gladiator's response.

Technic Siege/Full Map

Helkit agrees to meet you outside the arena after cleaning up a bit.

“Here’s what I know,” she says quietly. “I’ve hired out muscle to whoever’s after Guaril Karela. I don’t know who’s at the top of the operation; I’ve only dealt with intermediaries, but one of those really gave me the feeling that he knew much more about the operation than anyone else. I don’t think he’s one of the ones working against Karela, but he seems to have more of an interest in it beyond money. I’ve had some people looking for him since, but it’s like he vanished or went up in smoke—oddly appropriate for a man who asked that I call him ‘Torch.’”

Had to drop that tidbit in case you hadn't seen it before.
