Technic Siege/Full Map

Mavarion's blast catches the female spellcaster full on, and while it doesn't quite bring her down she is looking badly injured.

The party hears a bit of sound from behind the crates.

Skug draws a longbow while running down the corridor, pausing to aim at the woman atop the balcony.

Cool, my action stands as is then. And FWIW, Skug's defintion of an offensive action is rather broad. Any action that attempts to win the combat is offensive to him, even defensive acts like healing or total defense.


Technic Siege/Full Map

Skug sends an arrow straight and true. The force behind the shot topples the enemy mage, knocking her unconscious from loss of blood.

Skug hears a low whirring sounds get louder. As the volume increases, he hears a series of loud clanks.

After a few moments, he can see a strange entity from around the corner of the crates.

It looks much like a bulky suit of armor, with a single glowing eye in the center of its head. The "suit" is carrying a faintly glowing spear that every so often gives off a bit of electric charge.

You don't quite have line of sight yet, but I thought it best to put this in anyway. You ID the enemy as a Gearsman Robot, a Neutral medium construct. I'll follow a common practice and allow you to ask one question about it plus an extra one for every 5 you beat the DC by. So, 3 questions!

Belvica moves into the main room as does Van Potter. Iso joins them and gets his axe ready to swing!

Sorry Mavarion, I hadn't even cracked the book on Occult Adventures until last night. Do you need line of sight to make that attack happen? And I forget if you're currently flying.

Van Potter:
Any metal weapon they wield becomes charged with electricity and deals electricity damage. They have nanites that allow them to heal a few HP per hour. Their immunities are listed as "contruct traits". They have hardness 10.

Sorry, I didn't mean to sound as though I was questioning your action completely Mavarion. I really have no understanding on how the Occult classes work, being an infrequent GM over the last year. Anyway, I'm willing to just move forward with what you've done.

Mavarion's blast catches the robot full on. It dents the construct's armor and knocks some gears loose, but the thing is still coming! And the seems noticeably less effective than Mavarion expected.

The man now cowering by the side wall the Cayden mini calls out to Belvica:

"I'm Rand, but it's not me that you need to worry about surrendering! The Technic League! One of there agaents was questioning me, but vanished soon after you burst open the doors."

Skug hits the robot as it closes in to fight, but its metallic body is too hard to cause a great deal of damage. Still, the robot looks as though it is very badly damaged

Seeing Iso climb up onto the crates and steal his flank, Skug jostles the bottom box with his foot, "Iso not safe. Iso fall." He then yells at Belvica, "Iso need flank! Dwarf flank!"

Iso nimbly keeps his balance. It is almost as if the giant raptors tattooed over his face and arms help him keep his balance.

Van advances north 20 feet until he can see the metal man, and nods his head in recognition. "Yo guys, check this out. That metal guy is a gearsman robot. Use adamantine weapons on it if you got 'em, and electricity fries them better than other elements, although the guy can put a nasty charge on any weapon he's carrying. If you don't kill them, they can heal themselves eventually."

With the melee combat apparently well in hand, Van uses his higher caster level wand of Magic Missile against the gearsman.

Mavarion raises one hand, and a bolt of lightning careens through the ceiling into it, leaving not a trace to the structure. It then arcs through his other hand, which is pointed directly at the robot.

Damage: 4d6 + 8 ⇒ (5, 3, 2, 6) + 8 = 24

To Rand, he yells, "I meant that they should give you up! But we can talk semantics later, can you get outside?"

New attacks from Belvica and Mavarion reduce the gearsman to a pile of bolts.

Rand calls out: "Yes, sorry! I can just duck out the door over here. There'sa nother one in here somewhere, he ducekd behind some crates a moment or two ago!"

Rand moves out of the warehouse.

In the meantime, you hear the sound of a small glass bottle shattering. within moments, a large ooze appears behind you!

Van Potter recognizes the creature as a gelatinous cube. It can engulf creatures its own size or smaller. Engulfed creatures can become paralyzed. It has no known resistances or immunities, and no DR.

"It's a gelatinous cube, it absorbs its prey and paralyzes them inside of it to eat them. Any sort of weapon or attack should work on it."

If the ambusher is not already down, Van advances 5 feet at casts Ear-piercing Scream at him. The gnome then observes, "This is getting annoying."

Sonic Damage: 3d6 ⇒ (1, 3, 5) = 9

He's also Dazed for 1 round unless he makes a DC 15 Fort Save. If he make the save, he also only takes half damage.


Technic Siege/Full Map

The man doesn't look all too different from Iso, at least superficially. He is clearly of Kellid descent I know the token is a bit off for that., but he's of a much leaner build than the brawny barbarian.

He twists out of the way of Mavarion's and Iso's attacks, and does well to dodge two of Skug's efforts as well. He does take a heavy hit from one flail strike, however.

He calls out to Mavarion:

"Sorry, surrender just isn't an option for me."

Van Potter's scream pierces the man's ears.

Fort: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25

But he is only slightly hurt by it.

I will wait a bit more for Belvica and possibly Mylvwara.
