So this will be our new home come the next game day. I'm looking forward to seeing you all then! Meanwhile, feel free to dot and delete the gameplay thread, and to check in here so that I know you all found the thread.
I just want you to know that I've read through both Doom Comes to Dustpawn and Curse of the Riven Sky. Having read through both, I'm seriously thinking that I might like to do both modules with this group if you're interested, making this into a sort of trilogy.
I was kind of hoping to retain at least some of you from Averaka... Especially for Curse of the Riven Sky. Is the choice of the gunslinger because of the reduced prestige that modules offer?
Actually, if I level her to 10 before this next one (which is likely in and of itself), then I could use Curse of the Riven Sky as her retirement game.
I've already played it Hrothdane, and I love that adventure! If someone can play it, definitely get in. It's a good one! And I know you will do a really good job with it, too.
So I haven't heard back on PBP gameday, but I promised you guys that we'd play in February. Will you be ready then? Any changes to your characters that I need to know about? It's probably time for all of us to check in!
Darn!! It was a blast both when I played it and when I GMed it. Sorry to hear =(. It ranks as probably one of my favorite scenarios of all time. One of the few scenarios with nothing but 5 Star reviews.
Ranger 2/Rogue 10 | HP 85/99| AC 29/ 22(23) touch/23(24)flatfooted | Sneak Attack +5d6 | Resiliency 1/day F+16,R+22,W+13 ((1/day can reroll Will save)| Init. +10(+12)| Perc +19/24*(+21/26)| Evasion | Trap Sense +4 | Improved Uncanny Dodge
I'll post the details in a spoiler in case others haven't run in it.
Spoiler:
We were not a great Will saving party. We entered the darkness filled tomb/area below the temple. Our two divine casters were dominated and feared first spells cast. The evil priest kept extinguishing our light sources, and we could not do anything with the dual shadow demons that kept the rest of us from being able to actually get to the priest. We kept failing fear saves! so we never had more than two or three of us actually enter the temple to mount an assault. We were just the wrong party makeup for that adventure, plus we couldn't make a save for anything. We eventually just gave up and ran away, leaving the dominated priest behind. That's the first mission Shel ever failed. And it hurt her feelings.

Hrothdane
Spoiler:
We couldn't get close enough to the cleric that it would have made a difference. I'm honestly not sure if it was played as a full round to cast to not, but that cleric had all day to cast, as the shadow demons were just whooping up on us up front.
Would you like to aim for a mid-February start then?
Shel --
I am sorry about your bad game. I had a disastrous run of Serpent's Rise that was my most humiliating and awful experience in PFS to date. 0pp, no boons. It was horrid. On the bright side, there was NOTHING I could have done to save the situation. I played the best I possibly could but suffered from rotten luck and an awful party mix all the way through.
So we have four of our merry gang so far. All we're missing is Grigorii and Harsk, and let's face it... it's a Friday night. They may be out having social lives or something.
@Hmm yeah, any time after the 14th would be fine to start. I'm so sorry you had a bad Serpents Rise :( that fight is rough!
@Shel I'm playing King Xeros right now, and I can easily see how it can get rough fast
I failed my primary success condition on God's Market Gamble (we were all unconscious) and in Fortress of the Nail (because the high tier BBEG is total b~*#@&%~), but we got away with the secondary prestige in each, and most of the money.
So let's plan on the 15th or so unless I hear from Jesse about the next gameday dates.
This will give me time to reread the module, stat out monsters, etc. There's no PFS GM prep stat block file for this one, so I may have to actually make one... Eep.
I'm at DunDraCon 12th-15th, though I could probably start the evening of the 15th.
I don't have Azara's character sheet on me now, but I think she leveled to 9 either after our last session together or during a scenario after that. So no big change; just an extra feat. Probably some extra gear.
My purchases since last time were a Circlet of Persuasion, a Ring of Protection +1, and a Cracked Pale Green Prism Ioun Stone (+1 competence bonus on attack rolls). So her skills, AC, and to-hit increased.
She picked up Weapon Specialization as her 9th level feat, and 9th level is when her Swashbuckler Weapon Training class feature increased as well.
Edit: forgot this was a module. I'll buy some items before we start:
100gp: Potion of Featherstep (x2)
100gp: Oil of Grease (x2)
50gp: Oil of Bless Weapon
50gp: Antitoxin
2pp: Potion of Cure Serious Wounds
Male dwarf Ranger 14 | HP 1118 | AC 30 (34 vs giants); Touch 18; FF 24 | F +12; R +16; W +11 | CMB+16; CMD 34| Speed 20 ft | Init +5 | Perc +24 | Stealth: +15 Ranger 14
I'm ready. I'll double check my paper sheet to see if there's any changes.

Well, I just heard back from Jesse and he said March for the next PBP gameday. Would we want to delay until then to have the full team in place?
