Lore grabs her gear and offers a brief prayer to Sarenrae, hoping she has prepared the right spells for the day ahead.
She closes her eyes a few moments to tap into this new power she feels flooding her body and she glows slightly (just fluff) as she does so, light emanating from her body in a slight nimbus about her. She contemplates her new abilities to make sure she understands them, and sets, while she thinks of it, a mythic contingency to channel 3d6 of healing if she should go unconscious.
Eadie Navhelan |
Eadie zips into the room from a standing start 100’ away.
Oh, I could get used to this!
Her once black armor has transformed into gold and she has discarded her helm after finding that her head no longer fits in it!
This allows her loose hair to billow about her head in reflection of the warrior’s current mood.
“Wow! Are you accompanying us, Mr Sapphire Sage? And should I bring Drandle?”
As an aside … “He’s my camel.”
“Say are the camels MYTHIC too? How cool would it be to ride around on a flying camel!”
Lorelendral Teklet |
Lore grinz as she turns to see Eadie enter the room... "My you're so FAST!!! I love it! And the armor... it glows just like a little bit of the sun! Sarenrae would be pleased! You look nice with your hair all flowy around you. You should wear it that way more often!"
She tilts her head to one side as she contemplates a mythic flying camel, then bursts into laughter. "You'd like a powerful flying camel, wouldn't you?... it would suit you as a mount for sure." Then she purses her lips for a moment and wonders aloud, "I wonder what happens to their animal companions and familiars when wizards and druids get power like this."
Eadie Navhelan |
“Why thank-you, Lore.” Eadie *bobs* to her friend, her hair parting to either side of her head revealing a broad smile.
“I usually tie it back so it doesn’t hang in my eyes while I’m trying to kill something, but this new do seems to be working well – and it dries so quickly!”
“It does seem to have a mind of its own, though. But having said that, my old hair wouldn’t always behave either.”
Eadie continues to smile as she asks, “So, Lore ... Have you experimented with what a mythic fireball can do yet?”
Ahnastasios Silvertongue |
Ahn, a gruffy gnome joined you before embarking on this mission. "Please to meet you all ... I hear you journeyed with the legendary Kyra on the first part of this mission. I will try to to live up to her standards ... I do not believe anyone should have trusted me with all of this power however ..."
Lorelendral Teklet |
"Love the new look, Lhug... your tats are moving on their own... that's... just... awesome."
Lore, the little purple-haired gnome, smiles at Ahn as he arrives. "Why hello! So good to see a fellow gnome among a Pathfinder party... we are a rare breed, it seems. Blessings of Sarenrae on you today. You are most welcome!"
She rushes up to him as she speaks and gives him a big hug.
Eadie Navhelan |
Eadie’s hair stands up in a question mark behind her head. A concerned expression crosses her face.
“Lhug, what’s wrong? You’re … smiling.”
To the paladin. tee hee. A real paladin! “Hey, Ahn. I’m Eadie. Yeah, Kyra was a good egg and such fun! Welcome to the party.”
Ahnastasios Silvertongue |
As Lore hugs Ahn she can feel healing power coursing through his veins, he steps back, "Woah, woah woah ... I'm not hear to make friends ... we've got a job to do, and we're all likely to die ... so no sense getting all familiar!
Ahn notes the familiar Chelaxian accents. and nods to Eadie, "You're not going to hug me too are you?
Eadie Navhelan |
Eadie screws up the left side of her face while her hair forms a horizontal wave in imitation of her curled lip.
“A hug? Really? We’ve only just met, pal. What kind of girl do you think I am?”
Eadie turns and walks away from the gnome in a huff. However, once she’s about 50’ feet away she turns suddenly and kicks in her supernatural acceleration, charging the crusty paladin and attempting to envelop him in an EPIC MYTHIC embrace, her long hair wrapping itself around the pair of Pathfinders.

The Sage turns around to Eadie, Yes my dear, I will be joining you all in this adventure. The stakes are simply that high. A for flying camels, that would be a wonderful first.
A couple of background rolls before we start, and then we will be on our way.... Diplomacy Gather Information), Knowledge (local), and/or Knowledge (Geography) if you want.
DrGabe |
As you are gathering gear and supplies for the trip, a Pathfinder acolyte presents you with a letter. The seals is intact and appears to be from a Venture Captain.
Player Handout Letter
Eadie Navhelan |
Eadie pulls out of her embrace with Ahn and shakes out her tangled hair like a rhythmic gymnast's streamer before asking her faction head. “So these dudes Kafar and Nefti are Aspis agents, sir? And they’ve got two gems … so would they have Mythic powers too?”
Eadie tries to remember anything she has heard on the streets of Eto to do with the mission, but fears she may have done more talking to the locals than listening.

To Ahn, when rebuffed, Lore simply wrinkles her nose slightly and winks at him. "Don't be such a stuffy stick-in-the-mud, mister, you're among friends here... lighten up."
DrGabe |
Amenopheus doesn't think that Kafer and Kefti have mythic powers. Just because you have the gem doesn't mean that the power of one of the sages is gifted to you.
Eadie learns from a man a tavern that Kafar has been to a local herbalist and apothecary. Nefti has been seen drunk and playing a flute in many taverns around Eto. But he hasn't been seen in three days.
Lore finds out while talking to some suppliers that some of the caravan guardsmen overheard Nefti and Kafar complaining about the Apsis Consortium. Another person heard that Nefti tried to sell some information about the AC to a foreigner. But the deal fell through.
Lhug found a cool bar that sells flat ales.
Eadie Navhelan |
Earlier inside the Sopwith Camel tavern …
“Ugh … seems you were right, Costume Agent. Fermented camel’s milk doesn’t agree with me. Maybe I shouldn’t have drunk that last quart so quickly.”
“Your new wife might be able to get the smell out of your shoes … eventually. Hope my MYTHIC stomach acid didn’t burn your toes.”
Eadie changes the subject. “So Kafar has been to a local herbalist and apothecary?”
I wonder if it was Lhug’s mum?
“I must remember to tell the others. Maybe we should check it out?”
DrGabe |
Amenopheus gathers the Pathfinders in his sanctum. Once all ready he reads a powerful spell from a piece of paper and everyone finds themselves teleported into the desert. He tells you all that you are now close to The Pillars of the Sun. The terrain here is rocky and arid, cut by profound chasms and precipices. Currently the sun is just peaking of the horizon.
It doesn't take long before you are able to find two sets of fresh footprints. They travel down a winding pass and then eventually split into two directions.
Studying the footprints, Amenopheus decides that you must split up to follow each set of footprints. He doesn't accept any argument from the Pathfinders and sends you on your way down one set of tracks while he follows the other.
Your path leads you to a series of switchbacks that ascend the steep side of a gorge, and approximately one hour after Amenopheus’s departure, you reach an immense cliff where the tracks simply end.
Perception or Survival Check from here please.

Lore is obviously distracted...
Eadie Navhelan |
Before the Osirion sun’s fury brings itself to bear on the golden knight, Eadie will make a request to the Sun’s servant. “Lore, will you please cast endure elements on me and whoever else wants it from my wand?”
Are we standing at the base or top of the cliff, DrGabe?
Dropping her enchanted falchion onto her shoulder and gripping its hilt with her right hand, Eadie frowns as she kneels to examine the last of the tracks, trailing the fingers of her left hand in the rocky soil around the marks.
Survival: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25
"I'm pretty sure they aren't dolphin tracks."
Then she stands and looks up (over and down??) the cliff face in case this is an ambush. “Could there be a hidden passage in the cliff?”
Perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (7) + 11 = 18
Lorelendral Teklet |
Lore will happily borrow the wand long enough to cast Endure elements on Eadie, and herself, if Eadie doesn't mind. If anyone else wants it, she'll cast on them as well.
Eadie Navhelan |
Eadie smiles. “Of course I don’t mind, Lore. I know you’d do the same for me.”
DrGabe |
Good with endure elements. Does Ahna want it as well? If not then, you'll have to make two Fortitude saves against the high heat.
Eadie is able to lead the Pathfinders towards the cliff face without getting lost (too many times!). Once at the cliff, Lhug finds a trap door that leads deep into the mountain. Since the foot steps ended here, it is reasonable to assume that your prey used the same passage.
This is the way to go. :)
The Pathfinders work their way into the roughly hewn tunnel. Some of the areas of the tunnel narrow almost to a point. At other areas, it is only wide enough for you stand nose to tail.
Escape Artist check for everyone.
Ahnastasios Silvertongue |
Ahn will take endure elements as well ... happily sharing all his healing in exchange!
Escape Artist: 1d20 - 4 ⇒ (8) - 4 = 4, Ugh! for a Gnome this is a tight fit! How are any of you getting through! Any benefits for being small?

Eadie Navhelan |
No worries, Ahn! I’ll mark off a charge for Lore, you and Dassah.
Eadie decides to sheathe her falchion before entering the caverns.
Escape Artist: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (7) - 2 = 5
"Short answer is, I'm not, Ahn." Wedged in a crevice, in her armor Eadie feels like a sardine in a can that's been kicked under a divan.
"Can someone please give me a shove or pull me through this tight bit?" Eadie holds our her hand for Lhug to yank her along with if he's in front of her.
Ahnastasios Silvertongue |
"I would, but I'm stuck down near your feet!"
Eadie Navhelan |
Eadie puffs out her left cheek. So that’s what that is.
A bit too calmly and sweetly, the young Pathfinder replies, “Any chance you could remove your arrows from the back of my knee then, Ahn?”
Lorelendral Teklet |
Lore grunts and tries to wriggle her way through the tiny passage.
"How can this be too small for me? If I can't make it through, you'll never manage, Lhug."
Ahnastasios Silvertongue |
"Not ... arrows ..."
DrGabe |
The Patfhinders find it hard going through the narrow and twisting corridors. But, you generally keep up a rapid pace and nobody gets stuck in the crevices.
After making it through the tunnel it opens up into an underground gallery. Enigmatic hieroglyphs cover just about every surface of this chamber excavated into the mountain. Bas-relief engravings stretch along the walls all the way from the lofty, tapered ceiling down to floor level, their eerie pictography suggesting an unnerving story. Toppled columns, crumbling shreds of cloth, and potsherds scattered throughout the chamber attest to the place’s abandonment and antiquity. Small holes in the vaulted ceiling let in thin beams of sunlight but do little to
illuminate the chamber.
The floor of the chamber is covered in a thick layer of dust. It has recently disturbed by a single pair of humanoid foot prints. They start for where you emerge from the tunnel and lead through this gallery.
Linguistics or Knowledge (Dungeoneering) to understand these glyphs or engravings. Knowledge (Engineering) or Perception to look at the columns.

The Pathfinders struggle make sense of this chamber. As they near the pillars one thing is clear, these pillars are in a fragile state and can barely hold the weight that they support.
Suddenly, a creature lerches from behind one of the pillars and attacks! At first glance it appears to be lion that was dyed blue. On a second glance you see twin tentacular tails. Dozens more thick tentacles quiver and twitch where its mane should be. Almost as if it was by design, several skeletons animate in the room at the same time!

Ahnastasios Silvertongue |
Damn, forgot to life link ...
Ahn will move forward/right 15 feet (upper right of group) while drawing his bow and life link with Lhug. (5hp damage on Lhug will come to Ahn on Ahn's turn each round.)

Are you Init +3 or +5 then?
That reminds me, can everyone please make sure your "headers" are up to date with your mythic bonuses. Thanks!(I don't know what the stat line is really called, but they seem like "headers" to me!)
Lorelendral Teklet |
+5 total with the additional 3 to her normal 2... I'll update her 'header' line now
