Ketill fires at the prone conjurer, but his low profile makes him hard to hit. From his vantage point, Ketil has a good view of how Ilya rushes forward, and deals the finishing blow to Aglorn Desimire.
The archer seems to gesture his surrender, though it's not very clear from the laughing.
Combat over
Down in the lowest level of the undershrine, the portal is a red concave slab of stone, held upward by black granite. The slab looks much like Golarion diamonds, and sigils cover every inch of the slab in strange writing.
Enter into the blood clefts.
To the north of the gate is a podium, with a circular depression in it, much like the one near the sliding ring portal.

"It reads 'Enter into the blood clefts.' I think the portal is activated by using the amulet. Shall we try it? Of course we are not to enter the portal by the Venture-Captain's orders"
Ketill holds out one of the amulets and will insert it in the depression if no-one objects

As soon as Ketill inserts his amulet into the depression, a vortex of blood-red sand swirls from the Diamond Gate before violently sucking in on itself. A loud hum resonates throughout the chamber and a crimson glow pulsates from the portal.
Congratulations, you have secured and activated the diamond gate, further thwarting Aspis planning the Hao Jin tapestry. I'll report and produce chronicles as soon as I can, so we can return to exploring the emerald spire dungeon.

"Kellan!" she exclaims, giving one of her two favorite tieflings a big hug.
"Good to see you again! Let me give you a quick update," Ilya says as she starts to fill Kellan in.

Oloch waves goodbye, "It's been fun ... but I have battle to find ...", mutters Oloch as he walks away.
Oloch was fun ... I love that he can cast spells as a swift action. Really allows him to use his buffs.

Zen'yr will gather a few things while in town before heading back to the Emerald Spire. She looks to the others, How is everyone, I wonder what the next level will present us?
Zen'yr will go to the door and listen behind it. She touches nothing, just listens.

"I just bought a bunch of utility scrolls ... I have five scrolls that will create a pocket of air around our heads ... will allow for a short amount of time underwater.", says Vayu as he stuffs five scroll cases and countless different rounds of ammunition, powder and such into his waterproof bag.

When everyone's ready to head into the fourth level of the dungeon Ilya takes her wand of mage armor and taps herself several times. When she finally manages to get the protective armor in place she puts the wand away and heads over to the door.
"Let's find out what's behind it, shall we?" If no one objects Ilya will open the door. If the door turns out to be locked, she'll put her shoulder into it to force it open.

There's two items that may be of use, though. Hidden in the pile and only slightly slimy are two snorkels.

She heads up the stairs and into the large corridor and stops at the first narrow passage that leads south.

The stairs to the east lead down into a wide hallway flooded with murky water. The murky water has a depth on two feet here, and several smaller crab scuttle away as Ilya steps in.
Down the corridor, there's a strange water creature with a large crab, standing the murky water and shouting:
Who are you! Leave immediately, you are disturbing my experiments!
He doesn't really await the reply of the party.
