Knowledge religion is the appropriate roll for undead

Caranthir realizes the undead is not just a mundane creature, but rather powerful. So powerful, that after three rounds of studying, Fellgrim is very little the wiser.

I'm assuming nobody takes offensive action in Fellgrim's three rounds

I guess I'd start with special abilities, then vulnerabilities if I even have anything beyond the first.

By the light of the gods of healing, I am here to undo this evil.

"And what, pray tell, do you think is your finest hour? I think our view of what that is to be will be decidedly different. Tell me, does it have anything to do with that crystalline creature in the spherical room just back and around the corner?"

So, I've already cast the majority of my buffs. The rest are pretty much on demand/right before the fight. I know this is super Meta, but if it won't trigger the combat I could cast a couple more that last less than a minute. It would be nice to get a little more information from this guy before the showdown.

Thistle, with all his knowledge of things undead, does not recognise the vileness in front of him.

With an imperious gesture, Nhur Athemon cackles in victory as humanlike forms composed of emerald crystal emerge from eight of the mirrors, each wielding two swords. Three more emerge from the mirrors on the balcony, wielding bows.

My allies, my servants! I have summoned you here to obey my first order as the rightful Emperor of Azlant. Slay these intruders, for they do not bear me the proper respect!

Caranthir ensures the party is up to speed, when reality starts to dawn on Bruce: he has heard rumours of great wizard from forgotten times seeking the power of immortality. Rumour has it that such a process exists, allowing an arcane caster to live forever. The process, however, is arduous and requires ceremony of unspeakable darkness. Needless to say, anyone undergoing to the transformation is left with at most a sliver of humanity in his soul.

A lich.

Bruce also know that the process apparently involves binding the soul of the spellcaster with a physical object. It is only by the destruction of this object that the soul can be unbound and the lich undone.

There is little time to ponder this discovery, as the automaton army advances. A series of blows fall flat of Jelani's armor, but the warriors advancing on Bruce deal two deep cuts.

Thistle reads the word Lich on Bruce's lips and his heart stops for a moment.

This will be the biggest test yet... Perhaps the end?

Needing to get his friends into the best position possible to deal with these foes, Thistle immediately falls into a familiar, powerful prayer. A warm light bathes over his companions, flickering around them in a beautiful harmony with the haste spell cast by his elven friend.

Cast blessing of fervor. Key note here, it does not stack with haste - which means the spell ability, or the AC bonus is probably your best choice. Hopefully we won't have to worry about standing up from prone, but don't forget about that should you get knocked down. Might be a good idea to go back and review the other buffs you have, we are probably going to need them. Hold on to your butts!

Bruce nods at Thistle, glad to have his divine power on his side. He takes a step back after the vicious assault from the contructs in order to drink one of his extracts. He also notices a hair line fracture in the middle construct.

Drinking a shield extract and taking the AC bonus from Thistle to bring his AC to 27 and using studied combat on yellow.

Caranthir looks on in concern as the enemies pour into the room. Seeing the lich as the greatest threat, the elf pulls blunt arrows from his magical quiver and begins firing in rapid succession.

I'm guessing Bruce would share his knowledge of immuninities on the blunt DR. If he doesn't know that or didn't share it, I guess I'm firing regular arrows.

Sarenrea, Pharasma, whoever is listening, fill me with your power. Let me be a light in this dark, evil place.

Thistle finishes the prayer in his mind and pushes both hands straight away from his body, palms out. A dome of purifying light eminates from his body, washing over the crowd of minions around his friends. Thistle opens up his eyes shortly after, hoping that the divine power has done it's work.

Going off an assumption that these are undead minions. We never did make a check for them.

Bruce watches in horror as the odds are quickly stacking against him and his team. He pauses for a moment as he notices the creatures exiting the mirror.

Leaping over the line of foes he takes his adamantine morning star and smashes it against the mirror next to him.

If the mirror breaks:

Fellgrim takes some time to study the undead behind the green shimmering veil, while Thistle flood the room with positive energy. He feels the energy flow, but not connect to any of his opponents - the constructs are not hurt by it, and the energy does not penetrate the green wall.

Bruce rushes up to one of the mirrors, and causes some cracks to appear.

I have a dragon's breath that could clear these out, but I'd hit Jelani, too. We may want to be working our way toward the door...it may be better to hold these off at a choke point. I'm also thinking I'll wait for Bruce to work on the mirror...if it helps, I'll add some fire to it, but for now it seems most important to clear some of these out.

Caranthir tries not to panick at the onslaught of constructs, but things did not look good. He focused first on clearing out the constructs next to him and closest to the door, in the event they needed to fall back.

Ok, so the last thing I want to do is make this more chaotic or difficult, but Thistle has archon's aura active. This means that Red, Blue, Green, Orange, Yellow, Rouge, and Appleblueseagreen all should have to make a DC 19 Will save or take a -2 and AC and attacks until they hit me. That could make things very messy for you as a GM, so go ahead and adjudicate that how you wish. I don't want to make your life impossible... :)

Thistle sees the growing sea of constructs around them, and chides himself for not realizing what it was, and wasting the precious seconds to help his companions. He looks briefly down at his morningstar, a seemingly puny weapon that he hasn't needed to swing in a very long time.

It just doesn't seem large enough to put a dent in the wave of enemies that assail his companions.

The real threat is the Lich... but what can I do to stop him? What is this barrier that guards him?

Actually, regardless of who Bruce touches with that, it looks like everyone would be clear of my spell. Maybe stick with the fire resist, since Jelani was already stepping out of the way and Bruce is out of the blast radius. So let's stick with your previous plan, and I can still cast this.

Caranthir steps to Thistle's side, and once Jelani is out of the way, casts his most powerful spell, imbued in an arrow fired at the red terracotta warrior.
