Scales dry out and crack as the waves of heat washes over Thistle, but when the flames clear, the Nagaji is smiling. He allows the stream of life energy to flow from his body to his companions, secretly glad for the resistance to fire he had already cast on everyone.

Thistle lifts his arms out wide and begins to laugh. The laughing is a strange sound, a mixture between hissing and honking, hardly intimidating. In a flash though, Thistles body erupts into a golden, white flame, almost to intense to look at. With a grin, Thistle's burns heal up completely.

Std action to activate energy body. Anyone who passes through my square heals 1d6+8 damage. Move action to allow the form to heal myself.

Everyone has fire resist:20. If you pass your saves (one save for each breath) you take no damage. The most damage you would take is if you fail both saves, so you would take 9 damage. If you take damage, up to 5 of it is healed via The life link. Please make your reflex saves and I will add up who has taken what, and how much Thistle takes on to make everyone's life a little easier.

Bruce finds he is not so nimble in the air and takes a bit of fire damage. "I take it you want me to push you closer to the dragons Jelani?" Bruce says as he moves the levitating group closer to one of the dragons. He also take a moment to study the it for any missing scales.

Move action to move Jelani and Thistle over to blue. I'm going with the idea that the levitate is basically making them weightless to allow me to rotate them as we move. Second move action for studied strike.

Fellgrim mixes a bomb, a thistle becomes a healing light. The problems start when Jelani's weight suddenly increases eight-fold, too much for the deaf oracle to handle. The large berserker drops down and dips his legs into the fire

He does, however, manage to cut the dragon from the sky. Caranthir follows up by sending a volley of arrow at the other dragon, one of them lodging firmly between its scales.

The dragon turns in mid air, and makes a large swoop, showing up behind Jelani, and trying to push him into the pool of magma

Thistle allows the life force to flow through the links he has created, healing Bruce and Jelani each a bit of the damage that soaked through his magical fire protections.

Bruce and Jelani both heal 5hp from life link, Thistle takes that 10 on himself

Thistle stays in place, allowing the golden energies of his fountain of life to heal himself from the pain he has taken off of the shoulders of his companions.

With the battle seemingly well in hand from his powerful friends, Thistle grips his Morningstar, ready to strike anything that gets to close.

Thistle grimaces when he sees Jelani take the beating, but chuckles when he sees only a few relatively minor wounds. He allows more life force to flow from him, stopping the bleeding instantly.

Heal 5 from life link Jelani

It seems this battle has turned quickly in his friend's favor, something Thistle is rather used to, and so he dismisses the energy form he has taken to conserve the time he has with it. While he waits for something more dramatic to happen requiring his triage, he pulls himself along the ceiling to position himself above the floor on the opposite side of the lava, ready to come down and aid his friends in melee with the exotic monsters.

Jelani retaliates in a fury that makes the blood run cold. He smashes the lurker in the lava, and it explodes in a blast of magma. Suddenly, the place where he was standing cools rapidly, and forms an island of rock in the lava pool.

Further down the cavern, surges of magma pour from the chamber’s uneven ceiling, flooding the cavern except for two charred shores on the east and west sides. The liquid rock overflows, coursing into a lowerchamber through the broken north wall. The Emerald Spirebreaches that same wall, running from the slanting ceiling to the burning pool below.

The western shore juts out into the magma lake not far from the Emerald Spire. Scratched on the floor is a glowing rune in a “T” shape and an arrow pointing toward the chamber’s eastern shore. A dark passage continues east from the far shore.

Bruce scouts out the stairs. It opens into a humid cave before continuing into the depths. Rivulets of water run across the floor from a sweating portion of the eastern wall composed of transparent crystal.

Thistle inspects the crystal wall, trying to look past it to see what might be behind.

"Steam. Burns like Lava.." He warns before anyone tries to take a swing at the seemingly fragile wall.

Thistle cautiously backs up the stairs if someone does try to break through.

Anyone have any ideas to get to the other side? Thistle isn't so good at this. I can't think of anything besides breaking through. Maybe we could carefully chip away a small section to make sure it isn't going to explode with steam and burn us all up.

You've already notice some places where lava flow underground. Hardly more comfortable than breaking through the crystal and being exposed to steam, but i thought i'd mention.

Bruce takes a look at the crystal like structure. "Perhaps a well placed bomb from Fellgrim might be enough to open this up from a distance."

With that roll would Bruce be able to determine if it was even possible for Fellgrim to do that. Also would it be enough water to possibly cool off some of the lava flow.

Bruce has a thorough look at the wall, and comes to an astounding conclusion: that's not a crystalline wall that's separating the chamber from the next, but a magma ooze, petrified by the contact with water. It will take some bombing to destroy it (and doing so will bring in a substantial gush of water).
