Naggy and Xerance pepper the Gargoyle from afar, and Izoki adds his shot as the Gargoyle swoops down. The magical attacks - Naggy's spiritual weapon, and the two arrow hits from Xerance - severely weaken th gargoyle, and the extra blast from the musket almost throws the flapping creature from the sky. Still, it manages to close in and claw at Kintampo.

The blade of force chops at the Gargoyle, and cleaves wing off. Bleeding, the grotesque creature falls to the ground, defeated for good this time.
Near the back of the shrine, not far from the graves, lies an overgrown door in the side of the ruined building. It is locked, but the key carried by the woman opens the door.

"I hope they haven't been corrupted into walking undead. Sarenrae would probably be quite upset by that. I wonder what all the hearts are for though."

The door opens, and a flight of stairs descends into some underground catacombs. Filaments of pale fungus grow along the brick-lined walls. A thick layer of mud lies on the floor, numerous human-sized footprints running along the center while tangles of pale yellow mushrooms grow near the edges.
Deep down in the darkness, two dark, musty shapes stir. Their eyes glow red as they walk closer, revealing putrid flesh on their skeletal frames.

Naggy is interrupted by the violence displayed in front of her and walks forward to try and see what is going on.
"Undead? Where? I didn't see any? Should I be careful??"
Full defense as a standard action, upping her AC to 29
Kintampo |
Kintampo has used his wand of infernal healing on himself before the door was opened.
Sheezh! Why the rush? Can't they take a minute to let me heal myself?"
He then stows his wand and moves in after the others I assume 2 rounds have passed for opening the door and moving in and that this is the third round, therefore now at -4 hp. That also means we still have bless for 6 rounds ;-)
Kintampo moves forward and flicks his wrist. He then uses the wand that just appeared in his hand on himself. Shield
"Err, Naggy? Is it wise if you are in the frontlines? At your age shouldn't you let us younger people take up the front?"
Naggy the Hag |
"What? Oh, safety! Yes, very kind of you. I hope my speed isn't slowing you youngsters down, haha! You heard that nice man, Frodo? He's going up front to protect the old and frail. I wish there were more like him! Youngsters these days... hm? What? Follow them into the crypt? Alright..."

Errr...guys... you are entering into my web spell Naggy and Kimtampo. I can remove it in my turn but you need to make a reflex save if you really want to advance that much now and its difficult terrain. My idea was to trap the wight if he tries to comes to us during his turn.

Izoki moves up, and blasts at the remaining undead, shooting a gaping hole in the putrid flesh.

Reflex save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11
Based on the position of the red undead I have placed a web on the map. And I completely missed the casting of the spell :-(.
Kludde how do you want to treat the failed reflex save? I have now acted as if I am grappled at the spot where I ended (which is a bit weird, but so is assuming I made the reflex)
Kludde: AC is currently 21: Base 19, Shield spell, +4 Dex Penalty from grappled (web) -2 = 21. Did you include the -2 on attacks from grappled?

You just stay where you are. The wight never made it all the way, and so couldn't attack. Likewise, there is no attacking the wight unless you bust free.
The web provides cover/total cover depending on the amount of web in between you and the wight

DM Kludde |
The clumsy fire spell almost scorches Kintampo, but does the job of bringing down the wight. In a supernatural scream of pain, the creature burns up, an falls into dust.
Combat over!
Xerance-RK |
"Ugh so now we are after undead as well? I hope this crazy demon god didn't leave any of his ilk for us to fight as well."

"Once you open it, please let me have line of sight into the room. If anything tries to attack us I can stick a few arrows in it first."
Kintampo |
"Sure" Kintampo lets go of Naggy's arm and readies his wand of shield. He waits until everyone is in the position of their choice, activates the wand on himself and then opens the door.
Can everyone check if the position I have put you in is the one you want?
DM Kludde |
Kintampo cautiously opens the door as soon as the group has taken position. The passage opens to a vaulted room. Whatever purpose this vaulted, brick-lined chamber may have once served, today it is obviously the inner sanctum of some depraved cult. Unnerving, spiky runes have been painted on the brick walls with blood, between which dozens of mutilated birds—gulls, falcons, ravens, and a particularly large number of doves—have been impaled. The foul stink of rotting meat emanates from these grisly trophies. Opposite the only visible entrance, a jagged boulder with a bloodstained cloth draped over it serves as an altar, several fly-covered, foul-smelling lumps of meat siting atop it. The wall just beyond the altar has been painted to depict a single curved white feather sitting in a pool of blood. To either side of this symbol yawn archways set with barred doors, turning the alcoves beyond into prison cells. The eastern cell’s door hangs ajar, but deep shadows obscure what might be found in either cell.
This is a shrine to the demon lord Shax
The runes on the walls are prayers to Shax; they are prayers used to defile a holy site and transform it into an evil temple.
The lumps of meat on the altar are the hearts taken from the murder victims—a number equal to the victims the cultists have managed to slay so far.
