Sugarsnap and Frēodwēn can tell by the color of the creatures' scales and the small horns on their heads that these are fiendish troglodytes. They have minor resistance to cold and fire energy, weak spell resistance, and can smite good creatures.

Mudk moves into the room and casts a divine spell that strengthens his offensive abilities.

Jirah follows Mudk into the room and fires an arrow misses its mark and clatters harmlessly against the barricade near her target.

Xakon spurs Truffles into the room and into melee with the closest troglodyte. Although the creature is flat-footed, Xakon's rapier aim is off and the weapon misses.

The blue scaled trog retaliates with two falchion attacks and a bite, but all three miss. Unless Xakon is raging. If he is, one will hit.

The other two nearby troglodytes in the south follow up by tossing javelins at Truffles. Neither can penetrate the boars tough hide.

The three troglodytes on the west side of the room all toss javelins as well, two of them targeting Jirah, one targeting Mudk. None of them come close to hitting.

Who is prominently wearing a holy symbol of a good deity? I imagine Siv is, but maybe not Mudk necessarily, and some of the rest of you might be religious.

Frēodwēn begins one of his inspirational speeches designed to improve his teammates performance in battle.

Sivantanpisil uses her wand to Bless to similarly assist the group in combat.

The now raging Xakon takes out the blue-hued troglodyte and Truffles gores the same enemy again to make sure he stays dead.

Sugarsnap slaps Frēodwēn on the butt ostensibly to cast a Guidance spell on him.

Jirah, still distracted by the terrible smell in the room, fires another arrow that misses its target.

Mudk advances on the barricade and severely injures the greenish trog with a swipe from his sword, but misses with second attack.Cleave wasn't possible here thanks to Xakon taking out the first trog, so no AC penalty.

The purplish fiendish troglodyte in the south advances on Mudk and attacks him with two falchions and its bite. One of the falchion strikes manages to make it past the paladin's defenses, leaving a moderate injury. Mudk takes 14 damage from one falchion hit.

The injured green trog also attack Mudk three times with the same attacks and one its falchions also hurts the paladin. Mudk takes 13 damage from this round of attacks.

The palest troglodyte on the west side advances 5 feet to the southeast and tosses another javelin at Mudk that bounces off his armor. The remaining two trogs on that side of the room follow suit, perhaps inspired by their fellows' hits on the paladin. The black scaled enemy's javelin hits its target, further injuring Mudk. Mudk takes an additional 9 damage from the javelin, for a total of 36 damage.

Gamemaster | CC Map | S4 Map

Xakon, as I mentioned in the original post in this combat, the troglodytes are behind barricades. If you zoom in on the map, the barricade location might be more clearer. It will take an DC 15 Acrobatics check to move over the obstruction. Since this is an unusual situation for Truffles, getting him to jump the obstruction in combat will take a Handle Animal check to push him at DC 25. I moved you back to your original square while you decide how you want to handle this.

Sivantanpisil channels positive energy to heal those nearby, but not the dead or dying troglodytes. With only a +2 Charisma modifier for your Selective Channeling, you'll be healing some of the trogs, but not the ones hurt already at the time of your action.

Sugarsnap casts Magic Stone on some rocks she finds on the ground.

Xakon and Truffles actions are dependent on movement. Still waiting for Jirah and Freod.

Bless: +1 to hit, but +1 bonus to fear save does not stack with Inspire Courage.

Everyone is up, please feel free to finish him off. I'm not sure if Freod will continue his Inspire Courage, but I'll do the necessary math once he posts.

Xakon finishes off the last troglodyte before Mudk gets a chance to advance into position.

Combat Over

Injury Report: Mudk 4 Damage.

Searching the bodies, you find 6 masterwork falchions, 18 javelins, and 60 gold in total. Identical amulets can also be found around each troglodyte's neck, engraved with the flaming head of a serpent.

Knowledge (religion) DC 20:

You recognize this the (un)holy symbol of Kro'akoth

* * *
The next two rooms (A and B) are unoccupied, so let's zoom through them.

Room A on map:

Following your standard operation procedure, the group moves to the west door and checks it for traps and/or noises. Finding none, Xakon opens the door and moves inside. This chamber is an irregular octagon, and smells terrible. There is no furniture, just piles of makeshift bedding. The room looks like it could easily sleep twelve. There is a dark opening on the south wall. Searching the room you find only gnawed bones, worthless trinkets, and crude wooden bowls.

Room B on map:
Progressing next down opening the in south wall, you find yourselves in a makeshift latrine. The smell of waste and troglodyte prompts you to make your search in this area very quick and you find absolutely nothing interesting or valuable.

Next room, no letter but PC's are stationed at the entrance.
Moving out of the latrine into the next room to the east, you see a fire pit in the center of the room with a sizable blaze crackling away. On either side are two tables with four chairs each. The remains of several small subterranean creatures—mostly rats and lizards—cover the tables. It seems they were being eaten raw. Along the walls are several barrels, one of which is full of javelins. There are doors to the east, west, and north.

As you begin to search the room, Xakon notes a charred, smoking skull in the fire. The black circle in the center of the room is the fire pit.

Trogs need to learn to tiddy up. These rooms stink of litter and waste. What's this? Freo, is the smoking skull magical?

Xakon examines the fire pit for traps.

Jirah casts detect magic at the skull.
We'll known in a moment, dear Xakon.

Gamemaster | CC Map | S4 Map

As Xakon points out the burning skull and Jirah moves forward to check it for magical properties, it suddenly bursts out of the fire pit to reveal a long body composed of a snake's skeleton. At the end of its tail are tied various noisemakers, as if it was some sort of obscene rattlesnake. Its skull begins to bob around like it's ready to strike.

It's Knowledge (arcana) to identify the snake skeleton thing. Everyone can make this check, even if you are untrained.

Please note the tables in the room, to move through those spaces, you'll need to make a DC 10 Climb check.

Both Jirah and Frēodwēn recognize the creature as a construct known as a necrophidius. Much like a skeleton, bludgeoning weapons work best against them. Also, it can sway hypnotically to daze its victims and has a paralytic bite.

Jirah fires an arrow at the flat-footed construct, but its bones deflect the projectile.
