[PFS CORE - PbP] First Steps, Part I: In Service to Lore (Inactive)

Get Recruited

In order to get recruited for this game, you need to do three things:

• Post here (using your PC's alias), on the recruitment thread, a little about yourself (especially your roleplaying experience) and why you want to play-by-post. Your recruitment post must also include the following text (copy-paste is fine):

  "I agree to post daily, or notify the GM if I am temporarily unable to do so. I promise to respect others and to allow everyone - myself included - to have fun playing."

• Post on the discussion thread (using your PC's alias), telling us about your PC.

• Post in the gameplay thread in-character. Your in-character post must include the following elements:

  "Some spoken words,", Your character's internal thoughts, an out of character comment, A dice roll of your choosing: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8 (make it a knowledge check if you're stuck for ideas) and…

I plan to close recruitment and select my players (6 of them) on January 14th 2016. I plan to begin playing on January 15th 2016.

Character Creation

This is a PFS, Core Campaign game, and as such character creation is governed by the rules of the Pathfinder Society Roleplaying Guild. Level 1 characters only. Pathfinder Society Core Campaign rules can be found here.

I am DM Snider. I have been playing pathfinder since 2011 and started GMing in 2012. I like the PBP because I am currently deployed and I dont have any other way to play at the moment. I am the Great Green God. I am evil incarnate (to players in games I GM anyway). I've got a link on me somewhere with my bona fides.... *pat, pat, pat* Huh? Where did that come from? Oh, here it is! As for why play by post? Why not? It beats climbing mountains this time of year. I'm currently acquitting myself quite well in six games. The other two not so much, but no one's perfect.

Oh, and I once slept with Nick Logue, if that's any help. Not that there was much sleeping if you know what I mean.

If elected to this high office I would like to play Gwendolyn, the Strange. She's a good, knowledgeable CORE sorcerer one adventure away from 2nd level.

Was going to join, but just got added to another game and taking myself out of this one. Next time, perhaps!

I have been playing Pathfinder for about 1.5 years, only PbP, mostly PFS. I love this format because it fits my life better. I wanted to join this game because I was also recently new to GMing this format, and am happy to help others give it a try. I also had a new character concept I wanted to give a try.

I've been playing Pathfinder since Gencon 2011 and retired my first PFS character only a few months ago. Most of my playing is through Roll20 or at Cons. I have played PbP before, on different boards, and I'm trying to get more active on this one. I like the PbP format since it seems to work with my work and schooling schedule.

Yo! I've been playing Pathfinder for four years, I'm a three-star GM and Venture-Agent, and I have plenty of experience with the PBP medium; you're welcome to check my game list. I like play-by-post because I work as a caregiver from home and it lets me play in far more games than I could otherwise manage, and I also enjoy the narration aspects of it.

I am Sior (or GM Sior when running PbP). I have been playing RPGs for 6 years, starting with Star Wars, then Call of Cthulhu, before moving on to D&D. Started with PFS almost 4 years ago. Since then, I've worked up to 4 star GM status. I like PbP because it lets me plan my interactions a little more before posting, something which causes too much hesitation in live games. Encourages role-play.
