DM Snider |
I have to finish building character tonight and will repost when its done
Theoduin |
This is DM Snider.
This character is Arrow. He is a great archer who will deal lot of dmg. He believes that his allies come first and lay down his life for any of them without a second thought. He is ready for his first mission with the sociaty. He joined the society to be something better.
Hugo Bearbane |
I am also finishing building my character, but the concept is mostly there.
Hugo had a very short known history. He was recently discovered by a group of Pathfinders in the Mwangi Expanse. They came across an angry creature, which one of the Pathfinders believed to be a bear. As it attacked their camp, Hugo appeared out of the trees and tackled the beast, bare handed. He took a pretty good beating, but the heroic gesture did buy the Pathfinder group the time they needed to get their wits about them and drive off the animal.
Not speaking much language, communication with the group was difficult, but they were friendly and helped him heal his wounds, of which there were many. Over the few days rest and recovery, they were able to communicate enough to discover that this dwarf was alone and surviving in the tropical forests alone, with no way to determine his history or even name. Between his size (big for a dwarf) and his timely intervention, some of the group started referring to him as the Huge Dwarf, while others happily nicknamed him "Bear-bane". Eventually, this transformed into his current moniker, Hugo Bearbane.
Deciding to stay with the group and help them navigate the tropics, he learned Common, and a bit about more refined fighting techniques such as weapons and armor, although these are still a little foreign to him. He also learned much of the Pathfinders mission, and was essentially recruited into their ranks.
While he is trying to fit into society, the truth is that he is still fairly barbaric, but his heart is good and he would like to become more civilized.
Fellstone Bloodknuckle |
Fellstone is pretty much ready to go. He's a Dwarven Monk who has been on 2 prior adventures with the Pathfinder Society and he's finally gotten around to buying some equipment.
Fellstone does all the typical Monkly things, such as punching monsters, grappling with the BBEG and running away from Swarms, although he's hoping to change that last one. He had a bad experience with a swarm in the last adventure but it wasn't quite as bad as the time that he fell to his near death in the previous one.
In spite of all this, Fellstone is still excited to go out into the world.
Roshan the Rider |
I need to update Roshan's listed sheet with the stuff she gained from her most recent mission, but:
Roshan is a gnome druid from Vudra. Originally she was meant to be best friends with an elephant, before I realized elephants aren't legal companions in core, so, instead, she's the usual cookie cutter "has a big cat" druid.
She's relentlessly cheerful and optimistic and likes to think the best of people. Bagheera (her cat) is less fuzzy-wuzzy.
At this level, primarily I'm a user of CLW wands who has a cat, because a lot of shiny druid stuff won't kick in for a while.
Fellstone Bloodknuckle |
The monk is prob my favorite class. I have 3. I just wish the unchained version was allowed in Core
-Posted with Wayfinder
This is my first Core Monk. Actually this is my only Monk. :)
Is the Unchained version all that different? I haven't tried one out yet.
dien RPG Superstar 2015 Top 16 |
Unchained gets Full BAB, for one thing, and Flurry of Blows gets an upgrade, so that you're much less likely to have the "flurry of misses" thing that often plagues monks.
It switches around the order you get some abilities, and your saves take a slight hit, but it's uuuusually an upgrade over regular monk. The exception could be if you're trying to do something particular with an archetype or something (I have a monk/rogue who would actually be badly hurt by going Unchained, heh, as he wouldn't be able to pick up Improved Trip until 7th level with unchained, and can take it at first level with the flowing monk archetype in normal).
Theoduin |
Ya same here. I have 1 unchained, 1 master of many styles, and 1 manuever master. My favorite is manuever master for fun of play. My unchained used to be plain monk but after unchained came out his attack almost double when using flurry and the other abilities are amazing. He can fly or use dimentional door... So many options

Kagar the Painted Fury |
Kagar is an armed monk (also my first), taking benefit of his half-orcish weapon familiarity with greataxes. Half of his body holds tattoos of various designs while his other half remains unmarred.
He is fairly straightforward, though a disconnect with emotion and alack of empathy might lead him to trouble one day.
So far as I can tell, he works well with a group, but do expect many grunts and grumbles in place of words. (Don't worry, we'll make sure it's clear enough to understand.)
Faeria, the Mad |
Faeria is an (D)illusionist. Everything she says is true depending on what reality you happen to be experiencing at the time. She is not nearly as sensible as Gwendolyn the Strange the sorceress I had accidentally double-booked (I guess like a month ago) for another game, so Roshan and her will have to get together with their pets and compare notes later. ;)
Player Great Green God
Character Faeria, the Mad
PFS # 139009-39
Faction Scarab Sages
Day Job Homeless crazy woman who lives in the forest; not much use for them around here. Maybe in Maine though....

To make my life easier when it comes to filling in chronicles, if you could each put in a single post with:
Chronicle: What chronicle number this is for the character
History: What scenarios has the character completed? (or been credited with); any other chronicles (special boons etc)
Name:(the player) real name (as you have it appear on your chronicle sheets)
AKA: Character name
Faction: Your faction
PFS #: for the character
XP: starting XP,
Prestige: Starting prestige
Fame: Starting Fame
Gold: Starting wealth you bring into the adventure. This should be the total on your previous chronicle. If you want to buy any new stuff... see further on.
Day job: include the roll or that you don't have one. If you want to use a reroll at the end just note here you may want to use a reroll. If you don't include a roll I'll be assuming you take ten.
Try to hold off actual discussion here until we have one post per character with those details (makes life easy for me to make the chronicles for you all at the end).

GM - Wackadoodle |
I have put Letters and Numbers on the Map to guide this combat. When you want to attack the Imp while he is invisible - pick a square, roll your attack and roll your miss chance.
Example: I want to attack the Imp and I believe he is in square E5
Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25
Miss Change: 1d100 ⇒ 46 The miss chance is 50/50. High is good. This would be a miss.
If you believe you hit then roll damage.
Does this sound good for everyone?
Theoduin |

GM - Wackadoodle |
The only thing he requires is that you retrieve the map of the vaults from his
own vault here. The servant will lead you to the basement and show you the room.
After leaving Amenopheus’ study, the servant brings
the group back through the spacious estate, leading them
down sturdy stone steps into the cool basement. Down a
hallway, after a couple turns, the party ends up at a plain
wooden door. The servant opens the door, gesturing
to the room with a bow, and waits silently for the PCs
to enter. He doesn’t know anything beyond that he is
supposed to escort the PCs to this room and lock the door
behind them; if questioned, he remains silent and stoic,
simply waiting for them to go into the vault.
A plain stone room contains three chests: a copper-banded
chest of smooth, dark wood; a red lacquered chest; and what
looks to be a cube of solid steel. Behind the chests sits a low
table holding a clear glass jar half full of liquid and a covered
wicker basket.
Once all of the PCs enter the room, the servant shuts
the door and locks it behind them. Written on the back
of the door is the message: “Within these cases lies your
quest and your way out.” These five containers hold clues
to solving the puzzle of this room and one holds the prize
the Pathfinders seek—the map to the Salhar ancestral
vaults beneath Sothis.
Kagar the Painted Fury |
What we've gathered so far, I believe:
Copper-banded chest - Illusion
Red lacquered chest - Key does not fit keyhole, arcane marks
Solid steel cube - _________
Clear glass jar - Contains acid, retrieved key
Wicker basket - ________
Key - Does not fit in red lacquered chest
Kagar the Painted Fury |
I honestly do nae remember any of this*. I guess it's been a longer while than I thought since playing this.
Hugo Bearbane |
Hugo tries the key in the copper-banded box, not quite getting that it is an illusion.
If that doesn't do anything, then he sniffs the wicker basket.
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7
Roshan the Rider |
As a heads-up, I'll be at DundraCon from Friday to Monday. Please bot me if I'm holding anything up in that period. I'll try and check in at nights.
Roshan the Rider |
Roshan the Rider |
I think Faeria is the only one of us with any sort of Charisma. Your Sense Motive is by far the best in the bunch.
Faeria, the Mad |
"Oh? Why thank you!"
Faeria, the Mad |
"I would like to bring up a new item for the agenda today possible groups names! I suggest we either go with: 'Charisma: Our Dump Stat'! Or the 'Uncharismatics (except Faeria)'! Well?"
Faeria, the Mad |
"Though Roshan has a Charisma of 11, which is blah. Maybe 'Blah' would be nice?"
Kagar the Painted Fury |
Charisma? Wheeeeeee!
