After a while Saruna suggests that if everyone is quite calm now, you return to the upper areas of the complex.

The diamond sage is absent when you return, with quite the collection of followers! Several hours later she returns, looking to you for an explanation...

Numair patiently explains what the party encountered downstairs, including, through gritted teeth, Saruna's story, bringing the Diamond Sage up to date on events.

Lem will add to the tale, showing his notes and explaining each item they found and catalogued. If he is not sure what something is he will ask the sage about it.

During those several hours we may as well do what we were asked to and catalog. I think we have cleared the place of threats.

Tahonikepsu listens with care. "While I would prefer not to go below... I think I may be able to repair the Beacon and use it to locate other Sage Jewels."

She gives you all a nod of satisfaction. "Well done all of you, especially with your inventive manner to create a pseudo-sage jewel!"

The actions of the Amethyst Sage obviously trouble her greatly, and she muses aloud whether other sages might have also survived the Qadiran attacks and either passed their knowledge on to proteges or secured exceptional longevity. Either way, she notes the your efforts may have drawn the attention of the current bearer of the amethyst, and that sage might contact her and return to the order.

Saruna waits patiently before demanding. "You must lift my Geas and allow me my freedom!" Tahonikepsu sighs "I would have you tell me about the past, which you have seen first hand. But I agree the geas is unjust and you are free of it."

Saruna sighs as the magical compulsion leaves her after millennia. "I will have my revenge!" she says, heading off into the desert in search of the sage. She offers a final nod of thanks to the pathfinders "I may yet take you up on your offer."

As for the inevitables,Tahonikepsu greets them as unexpected foreign dignitaries trespassing in her home. She politely agrees to collaborate in finding the Amethyst Sage, but insists on revisiting the sage’s alleged crimes in light of more recent events. They acknowledge her request, but make no promises

On the way back, Venture-Captain Norden Balentiir is pleased to hear of your success, but disappointed about the lack of maps of the area.

She smiles at her friends, and Doubtful in particuliar and says Better than the Gloomspires, isn't it?

To the Venture Captain she says We have mapped the area, in the song Lem have written along the way! she smiles and adds a clever hafling is always a good choice to have with

Especially one with a wand of dispel magic. Even though the caster level was not as high as I would have like I think my racial luck played a roll and it was quite useful. Lem says with a smile bowing to all. It has been a pleasure to adventure with you all.
