Looking around, you espy the ladder. (It's what crashed to the ground and alerted you to their presence. They threw it down from the trees.)
You also see (gasp!) more Aspis agents. Looks like the ones at the dino weren't the only ones who came to see the Krihirik!

There are two Aspis archers, one guy with knives and a panther.
The panther (enemy 1 on the map) charges out of the jungle and attacks 1d20 ⇒ 3 Miss!
The two archers (enemies 2 and 3 on the map) fire:

The guy with the knives (enemy 4 on the map) throws; he looks strage; did he just become more tiger-ish?

Then the guy with the knives takes a 5-foot-step into the hut that you know houses the Krihirik elders!!!

Ethendril swings mightily at the panther in front of him, but the tremendous exertions of the day seem to have left the paladin fatigued or otherwise unready for the battle.

Posting Hotspur's actions now because I might not be able to again until early tomorrow afternoon.
If an Aspis makes a ranged attack against her, she will burn a grit point to boost her AC by +4 (total AC 20) by dropping prone using the Gunslinger's Dodge deed.
On her turn, Hotspur advances 20' (I have already moved her forward on the map) and fires at the same Aspis Agent as before.
Second barrel shot: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21
Damage: 1d12 ⇒ 5
Again, not sure of the range with elevation but Touch AC to 40', additional +1 to hit and dmg up to 30'.

Cornelia curses upon seeing more Aspis agents infiltrating the village. She ignores the cat that her companions are dealing with and instead directs her attention at the nearby archer. She twirls her sling for just a moment before loosing the bullet! "We must hurry. I believe that fool with the knives is intent on murder!"

Yes, yes she does lol. Thanks for that, GM. I completely forgot about ranged attack provoking.
Cornelia smiles as her bullet strikes its mark, but does not have much time for reflection as she sees the archer drawing an arrow for repayment. She lets out a sigh of relief as the arrow goes wide and quickly reloads for a followup shot! Her second bullet also flies true and impacts the archer. If the archer is still standing after the second attack. "Lay down your weapon, fool, and you shall keep your life!"

I think Hotspur might be down. With that earlier crit threat hit for 6 pts, plus the recent 8, she is at -2 (starting total 11), if that's true...
As Hotspur falls she sighs: "Give me liberty, or give me death... but with less arrows next time."

Ethendril reels under the big cat's tooth and claw attacks, and blood pours from his wounds.
Nevertheless, he seems most concerned with Hotspur's fate.
"Someone help the gunslinger!" he yells. "I'll deal with this beast!"
He touches his arm to heal his wounds, then swings mightily with his greatsword.

Hotspur is back to 6 HP. Posting in advance again. On her turn Hotspur would...
The gunslinger opens her eyes and sucks in a great gasp of breath. "You're my hero, Sir Dydimus!" she shouts while reloading her musket move action to reload one barrel. With as much speed as she can muster, she takes aim at the nearest Aspis agent Knife guy probably and fires.
single-barrel shot: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19
damage: 1d12 ⇒ 2 +1 if within 30'
If range-attacked again, she will burn another gunslinger dodge grit point to boost her AC to 20.

Ethendril looks to ensure Hotspur is okay. Seeing her back in action, he considers what to do next.
"We need to get up there!" he yells.
After waiting for the fleeing big cat to run, Ethendril moves to the nearest ladder to ascend and fight the Aspis agents.
I'll delay until the big cat takes off (assuming it does). If it runs, I'll then move toward the ladder on the map (which I'm guessing is the only one). It looks like I will need to lift it back up next round, so I prepare to do so.

Cornelia loads and slings another bullet to cover the paladin's approach! Once again the bullet strikes true, whacking the archer upside the head as hard as she can!

If there are no visible Aspis (I'm guessing we can no longer see the one in the elder's hut) Hotspur will double move to the ladder.

Ethendril lifts the ladder into place, then proceeds to climb.
"We must reach that hut!" he yells to the others.
Guessing a move action to lift the ladder, a move action to climb...not sure how far up I was able to go.

Hotspur steadies the ladder as Ethendril climbs -- because ladder safety in the work place is everyone's responsibility!

With Hotspur's assistance Ethendril climbs 10 feet up the ladder. He has 10 more feet to go.
The rope bridge above him sways with every step he takes on the ladder. He understands: movement while in combat on these bridges may be challenging.
No checks were needed when you were guests of the grippli before because you were not in combat. Now, an Acrobatics check is required.

To climb the ladder completely, is that a double move plus an Acrobatics check? Or can it be done as a single move action plus check?

Sorry guys! I had the little-man yesterday while mom was working and it was too nice out to be couped up indoors!
Cornelia smiles at her success, beginning to feel much more confident in her combat prowess; however, she puts those feelings aside for the time and rushes to aid her companions with the ladder!

Ethendril holds himself to the side while the spry Hotspur passes him on the ladder, then attempts to climb up himself. However, the swaying of the entire structure makes this process difficult.
