Sir Dydimus is out of tier.
Other than that it looks good

Hey guys, sorry for my unexplained absence. My grandparents both passed away over the weekend and I haven't really been in the mindset to post. I will get caught up this weekend.

Do you guys have any requests on any wands for Cornelia to pick up? Right now I'd like to stick with what's on her spell list since her UMD is still fairly low and only has about a 50% chance of success.

Good News/Bad News time:
Good News:
Tomorrow is my Final Exam in the class I'm taking so I'll have more time after work and on the weekends to post.
Bad News:
Work seems to be blocking Paizo so I'm not going to be able to post during the day.

Engleaktig, are you okay with me purchasing a few things from last scenario even though we've already started the next one? There's a wand and a few weapons I'd like to pick up. Also I want to replenish my alchemical supplies lol.
Cornelia d'Malheur |
Have fun Ethendril! Okay...
So I finally added some purchases. Going to use 2 PP to pick up a Wand of Heightened Awareness. Purchase 1 alchemist fire, 1 Alkali flask, Masterwork Comp Shortbow w/ +1 strength rating, and Masterwork Cold Iron Sword Cane. I will sell my old sword cane at 1/2 price.
I will be buying a sap at the next possible opportunity! As soon as we ran into the kobolds I wished I had a better way to do nonlethal damage than -4 attack.

Good I think! I went in with a high B so I'm hopping the test bumped me into a low A.

I'm at PaizoCon. So far, I've had the opportunity to hang out and chat with payers from all over the US, England, Denmark, and Australia.
I ran "Fate of the Fiend" yesterday afternoon for some early arrivals. The wheeling charge cavalier nearly took out a stone golem with a single hit! The other cavalier was constantly able to grant all kinds of bonuses and extra movement actions to the whole party. The monk constantly stunned the enemy and had a nigh invulnerable AC. And the sorcerer outwitted the BBEG with some really clever battlefield control. Those were some nifty characters. :-)
I accidentally ran into both Mark Seifter and Linda-Zayas Palmer yesterday evening. It was cool to say hello! I'm fortunate enough to have known them when they were venture officers, before they were hired by Paizo. Mark is the only GM to have permanently killed one of my PFS characters! LOL! :-D
I will play in Linda's "out of retirement" game on Sunday. They're "bringing back" a "retired" PFS scenario for this event. If we survive, we get a valid, somewhat rare chronicle sheet!
Paizo hasn't yet opened the store, registration doesn't start till today, 7:00 AM local time. So I don't yet know what art is available for sale. I'm excited to see what they have.
This morning, I will play "Test of Tar Kuata." When I ran that at my friendly, local game store, players seemed to really enjoy it. Lots of different challenges in that scenario. Lots of good ways for everyone in the party to contribute to the mission's success!
This afternoon, I will attend two talks. One will be Paizo's take on Pathinder Unchained. The other will be about Occult Adventures. Looking forward to trying out the kineticist! Mark Seifter, the designer behind this new class, is typically very thoughtful and thorough about design plans and playtest feedback. I'm eager to hear what he has up his sleeve. There was a lot to absorb in the playtest document already. The full thing should be fun!

That sounds awesome. I played at Mark's table only a few times but he knew everything about everything! I'm really interested in hearing about the Occult Adventures too.

Good call. On my characters that can heal, I usually like to have that on a wrist sheath.
If a character can use a wand of vanish, I usually have that on one, too.
I was just noticing I don't have one for Ethendril...perhaps because I forgot I can use wands!
Cornelia d'Malheur |
They are very handy little pieces of equipment to have for just about any character. The utility options alone are worth having one on each arm.

Sooo... I'm thinking I may retrain Fast Learner into Skill Focus: Linguistics and pick up Orator for level 3. That would give me a +10 bonus +1d6 Inspiration for the most important aspect of Diplomacy and Bluff in PFS gaming.... And that's if I don't add any more points to Linguistics, which I definitely will do if I go that route.
The way I play Cornelia, I just don't really need the extra HP. I tend to keep her out of combat for the most part, considering she's not all that effective of a combatant right now. Once I picked up an Agile Swordcane, that'll be different... But that's quite a ways down the way.
Wish there was a way to retrain Traits. I'd get rid of Bruising Intellect, I just don't use it that often.

So... I just saw a load of gameplay posts with time stamps that imply many posts were not showing for me. Also, 2 of my posts are missing and the one that shows is *way* off timestamp wise. Just an FYI, but I think I am getting a cached version of the site or something. It's not that I'm not participating.... I'm just not participating. :P
Cornelia d'Malheur |
Lol. Np Gale, sometimes I have that same problem. The new post indicator won't show up on my campaign tab and then when I go to check it suddenly there are 10 posts!

Thanks so much for running this, GM Engleaktig! What a fun ride!
I think Ethendril only had the Confirmation done before starting on this run with you...it's been very enjoyable!
We've had some great group members along the way.
I'll be watching with great interest for anything else you run! :)
Ethendril h'Caramore |
Wow...it's already been such a great ride. I hate to take advantage.
I would definitely be up for more if you are willing, though. That T-Rex scene we had a little back was very memorable and one of my favorites. I love your blend of serious and humor. Just perfect.
I have a particular fondness for modules and/or linked scenarios like we just played. I just like having a little more extended interaction with the group.
GM Engleaktig |
I've been meaning to run Dragon's Demand. It is a long-form module. It is the length of four modules. I would run it in "campaign mode" and you would then apply credit to characters from levels 3 to 6--ending up at level 7.
For example, if you wanted to apply the credit to Ethendril, that's great--as long as he's still 3rd level. Completing the adventure nets you 4 chronicle sheets bringing you to level 7.
Anyone interested?
