Please add here the usual... Player, character name, ID, faction, roll for the day job, etc.

OK, I have created a recruitment thread, cleaned up the list, and am posting to Flaxseed now.

GM Archlich |

Thanks. I've been keeping an eye at the recruitment post and Flaxseed, and using the extra time to read more on the adventure. I'm holding to start until we select one or two more people.

![]() |

Thanks, Cody.
Looks like we got lots of candidates today:

![]() |

Thanks, Stephani! You had a lot of interest. :)
There are a lot of great candidates.
E'li has over 20,000 posts...he looks pretty reliable.
Hastard has a GM star.
DebugAMP has 2 GM stars.
Yoshi (Aerondor) I've played with in a number of games he's run and would make a good addition, though he's played a lot of our upcoming stuff. If we can't make it work now, he could be good to add later.
I think these look great...thoughts to narrow it down?

![]() |

I agree with all your comments, and add:
E'li has a character in perfect range. He was also first to respond, which doesn't necessarily mean anything but it's something.
Hastard was second to respond, and also seems like the logistics are a good fit, but I have never played with him. Not sure that the cavalier is such a good fit (says the paladin...)
CariMac is a good roleplayer, only played a bit with her, but she seems solid. Sounds like she really isn't available though.
Sheela is another good player, but doesn't sound like chadius has a character that will fit here (3 xp behind us).
DebugAMP seems a solid choice, except 7 of the next 14 scenarios he has already played. Even if he GMs the whole trilogy, that's still a lot of juggling to do to fit him in.
I have played with Aerondor in another long term group, and he is definitely solid, both for content and post rate. It does look like it would be hard to fit him in now, but I think at level 7 if he's still interested would be a good addition.
I suggest we invite E'li and Hastard for now, and keep the rest of the list as future replacements if the need arises, since a few of them would be good later, but just not now.

![]() |

Thank you for the invite!
Just a reminder, in case it causes you to rethink the invite, this character is finishing up Portent’s Peril now.
I suspect it shouldn't be long as we're on the end encounter.
When are you planning on starting up?

![]() |

Hi there! So happy to be invited here. I just leveled him to 4th level.

![]() |

Name: Jason Rodarte
Character Name: E'li Warpriest of Rowdrosh 4
PFS 43330-5
Faction: Silver Crusade
Day Job: Shepherd 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13
he just bought a +1 agile breastplace and a mw shortsword

We are just giving GM Archlich some time to read through the next sceanrio (Gods Market Gamble) and get prepared. I think you are ok to overlap a bit if you are really finishing up, because it usually takes a few days or more to get through the preliminaries.

![]() |

Sounds good. Just realized I never put my gear in my profile. I'll handle that momentarily.
Player: RePete
Character: Hastard the Bastard
PFS: 126566-04
Faction: Silver Crusade
Dayjob: Profession Groomer (take 10): 10 + 6 = 16

Welcome to the new folks!
This has been a great group over time, though it seems we lose a member now and then to attrition. Looking forward to some fun times!
I'm guessing we'd be fine to do some kickoff/intro/housekeeping while Hastard finishes up.

GM Archlich |

Welcome to the new guys! :) Glad to have you here.
I will start towards the middle of this week. Even if Hastard isn't ready yet, the beginning is slow anyway.

![]() |

No biggie, it is the end of the year here at school so I have finals to grade and grades to post and all of that other wonderful fun stuff,

![]() |

Welcome Pathfinders! Looking forward to the next game.
For those who knew Brother Max, Cody's ape companion. Having grown to large size, Max took leave to return to his ape group. He has been replaced by a small Panda called "Junior" Not fully trained yet, but much more cute to look at.

![]() |

So apparently my post from a couple of days ago on this thread disappeared (or have I not clicked submit?! My dotting does appear under the Players tab though...) I'll be glad to continue as well but will understand if it won't work out.

![]() |

I think we missed something Starling? I don't know what the context is for your message "I'll be glad to continue as well but will understand if it won't work out."

GM Archlich |

Alright guys, we're ready and kicking in :) Does anyone have any idea on how do I get maps etc. out of the PDF and into Google Maps or similar as so we can move our peons etc.?

![]() |

Getting a map out of the PDF: If using a PC and Adobe Reader you can left click on the image to select then right click to copy, or you can use the windows snipping tool (type snip in the run command or look in the accessory menu). Once you have it copied just past it into a Google slide.

![]() |

You can also use a pdf extractor to get the images out, like extractpdf.com. That will remove all the GM-specific text from the map image as well.
I then put it on a google slide.
In order to paste or import images, you have to be logged in. If you are in 'anonymous user' mode, you won't be able to insert images. (look in the upper right corner, you should see your email address if you're logged in... else the words 'SIGN IN' if you're not.
As for opening it up to all, you have to set the Sharing options (you have to be logged in with an actual Google id for this too)
Under File...Share...
(If the file name box pops up, name your file, then click Save)
Then click the word 'Advanced' in the bottom right corner.
In the Who Has Access section, change the first item by clicking the word 'Change' to the right of it.
Select the middle option 'Anyone with link'.
Then, after selecting the above, you will see a line further down that says 'Access: Anyone' and beside that the words 'Can View'. Click on the 'Can View' and change it to 'Can edit'.
Click Done.
And you should be good to go for others to access and move around tokens and such.

I think we missed something Starling? I don't know what the context is for your message "I'll be glad to continue as well but will understand if it won't work out."
A misunderstanding apparently!

![]() |

Good, cause Cody likes to listen to bardic music while working in battle!

![]() |

Do you guys have a 'Standard Marching Order' set up?

![]() |

I would like to...
sell my full plate (+750g)
Buy +1 Full Plate (-2650g)
Upgrade Lance to +1 (-2000g)
Should leave me with 2618g

GM Archlich |

If it's within your limits on the PFS, then go for it. You can assume you did it all while you were seeking information about the first witness.

GM Archlich |

Do you guys know what happens with the faction missions nowadays, and the prestige points, etc.? I noticed people don't bother with them anymore on the PbPs so I was curious - especially for adventures like that, that happen before the factions changed.

GM Archlich |

I put the faction missions on the campaign description, but I'm not sure these missions are what give prestige nowadays :/

![]() |

For the older stuff, they replaced some of the faction missions with 'secondary success conditions'. Here's a copy if you need.
But aside from that, seems the society cards E'li mentioned and a boon or two are the primary faction stuff now.

![]() |

Don't masterwork items have to be craft from scratch as masterwork? My full-plate was just mundane.
I knew you could upgrade masterwork to enchanted, but thought mundane had to be sold back.

![]() |

A character can have one each of the following spells on an item or items that carries over from adventure to adventure: continual flame, masterwork transformation
Yes you can have one item as Masterwork transformation, and once it is enchanted it no longer counts against the masterwork transformation limit {ruling link}.

PFS Guide 8, page 21 Spells wrote:A character can have one each of the following spells on an item or items that carries over from adventure to adventure: continual flame, masterwork transformationYes you can have one item as Masterwork transformation, and once it is enchanted it no longer counts against the masterwork transformation limit {ruling link}.
Oh nice! Missed that. Thanks.

GM Archlich |

So, on the marching order subject, I'm assuming something like (front front to back)
Stephani and Hastard (+Nord if possible)
E'li and Cody (+Junior)
Dusklord and Starling
Does it sound good? Anyone wanna shift etc.?

GM Archlich |

Ok! Assuming then:
Stephani; Hastard (+Nord); E'li; Dusklord; Starling; Cody (+Junior)
Do you guys know if I can GM the same non-evergreen mod and get credit, and how it works? Or if I just get GM credit once?
