So how does rolling work? Do we just role and post the number (like I presume Grayson just did)?

You use the dice equation and the system rolls it for you.
[dice] 1d20 + 2 - 3 whatever, then close it with /dice with brackets.

oh we are going to town tomorrow and wednesday and will be back thursday. no computer access until then. assume we are hanging in the background. (or threatened/encouraged by party members to let others do the talking in eskis's case)

Doubtful the horse will be able to go into the townhouse...but you can try if you want. But I would leave it behind.

actually artie got steroids for croup (artie on steroids not fun) and puked in the middle of the toy department at fred myers. (i always have ammo but was lucky enough to find 140 rounds for karens new gun :)

Just so I'm understanding the mechanics, for crit, do you role damage once and double it, or roll twice? (I assume the former, as goatee man only has 6 damage)

No you actually roll it twice and add it damage bonus twice. The reason it he only took 6 was because the glass has hardness 1 and 1 hp. So it took 2 damage to shatter the window. So 6 went through.

How do checks work with my familiar? I have +1 perception, it has +10. Do I role twice,just use it's number, or something else?

How it works is:
You would role a separate check for the familiar. If the familiar detects something you don't, you have a Empathic link with the familiar. This let's you know the general emotions of the familiar. So the familiar could convey a sense of danger, fear, or maybe curiosity, etc. Which could provide you with some vital info.

My character sheet, under spells and powers, says Ranged Touch +2. What does that mean?

If a spell requires you to make a ranged touch attack, then you would do it at +2.
More specifically:
Some spells have a range of touch, like Mage Armor, you actually have to touch the creature.
Some spells have a range of some number of feet, like Acid Splash or your Acid Dart special ability,
Range: Close (25ft + 5 ft/ per 2 levels).
Then the spell description says You must succeed on a ranged touch attack.
Some spells have a range: touch; but if it is an attack spell you must make a melee touch attack; like Shocking Grasp.
Then some are a range spell, that don't require a range touch attack, instead they require the effected creature to make a save or be effected. Like Grease.

So my "range of touch" is actually 2 feet? Or 10 feet?

No worries if one of your spells say "make a ranged touch attack" like Acid Dart then you use that +2.
It's a ranged attack, but it doesn't count armor, it's as if you were standing next to the person to touch them. But you are at range instead.
If the spell instead says:
Range: touch or touched
Then you actual have to be next to the person, no more than 1 square away.

was looking at my ac on my sheet. I did not equip my shield and armor. more like 20 than 13.
