Faction The Exchange
Naseem’s isn't too talkative although he loves the battle. He is good at making perception checks to search a room, and prefers intimidation to diplomacy. He does have CLW, and will use it after fights if necessary.
Naseem’s is a quick tempered brawler. If an enemy seems weak, he'll simply approach and kill it with his Greatsword. If an enemy seems particularly tough, he'll try to ID with his monster Lore, swift action a judgment to gain extra damage attack then cast True strike on himself in round one then enter the battle on Round two.[
Greatsword 2H: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21
Greatsword Damage: 22d6 + 4 ⇒ (4, 4, 4, 5, 3, 2, 3, 2, 4, 5, 1, 2, 6, 6, 3, 3, 4, 6, 1, 6, 1, 6) + 4 = 85
Greatsword 2H with true strike and destruction: 1d20 + 25 ⇒ (3) + 25 = 28
Greatsword Damage: 22d6 + 5 ⇒ (1, 5, 4, 4, 2, 4, 1, 4, 6, 4, 3, 3, 2, 2, 6, 1, 4, 5, 6, 2, 1, 2) + 5 = 77
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
If there’s diplomacy needed, He will reach for his blade menacing and give him a thousand yard stare with a +3 modifier.

Looks like we can jump right in. I have a few things to set up tonight, then I will post the intro in the morning, and ever one can introduce their characters

I think we'll squeak by pretty well without a rogue. Perception checks by everyone for traps and Nadric the bard has disable device for locks and traps which can be buffed with guidance or bit of luck. Like you said, I agree this will be a strong group, there's good coverage of roles here.

Who needs rogues for trap finding when you have two barbarians

Intro is up. Post your introductions there and any in-character questions.
Once everyone checks in, we will head in to the Museum.

Who needs rogues for trap finding when you have two barbarians
I had a paladin do just that at a table lacking a rogue in a known trapped dungeon.
No one's perception checks found any traps. Ok, send the paladin in.
Yaiho Crasher |
hehe...
Nadric Yarrow |
My group had a night when our rogue couldn't be there and we were in a house filled with traps. Our strategy became 'send the half-orc cleric through all the doorways first'. It worked out fine. :D
Archaeologists do get to be quite good at traps eventually, but at first level it's more like a passing familiarity.
GM Gustavef |
Zane: If you don't mind, I will bot any obvious actions of your while you are offline, just to keep the pace going during the day.
Zane Shivers |
Yes please bot me as needed. I have good wifi at the moment, so will get my character fully updated. Tomorrow is going to be difficult for me to respond as I will be on a lake/river then plane.
Nadric Yarrow |
When it comes to counting ammunition in organized play, can I take the 50% recovery rule to mean that I can gather up half of the ordinary arrows that miss in combat?
GM Gustavef |
When it comes to counting ammunition in organized play, can I take the 50% recovery rule to mean that I can gather up half of the ordinary arrows that miss in combat?
That is correct
GM Gustavef |
Anyone wishing to do a Day Job at the end of the adventure, please post here with your roll.
Vogue |
No day job. Nadric has no marketable skills, alas.
But you're a bard, you have a perform skill with ranks in it, right? Perform is day job eligible, but you must have a rank or more in it.
Yaiho Crasher |
No day job.
Nadric Yarrow |
But you're a bard, you have a perform skill with ranks in it, right? Perform is day job eligible, but you must have a rank or more in it.
Nope. I'm an archaeologist archetype bard, which means perform does nothing for me (other than day job rolls, like any other profession). I will probably eventually put ranks into it, assuming Nadric continues to level up, but other skills are more important at level 1.
GM Gustavef |
Naseem, what is your PFS/Character#
Vogue |
Today, Friday 10/27, I'll be on the road most of the morning and early afternoon and will only have phone with me. I'll have periodic breaks to check in on the action and post but I may need assistance moving my token on the map until later today if needed. My thanks in advance, everyone.
GM Gustavef |
Thanks for the update.
This is the last combat, so I will make sure everyone gets their turn. This ran at a good pace so we should be wrapping up Monday or Tuesday.
Please send me any day job roles this weekend, so I can prep CRs.
Naseem Hamed |
Yea, First time in PBP in like two years, but everyone has been great at posting frequently and moving things along swiftly. The character interactions have been fun too :D
Danicka Raburnus |
I had a question about that welcome to pathfinder boon. Was I supposed to put it on my character before her first mission, or do I get it and apply it after her first mission?
This is my first time playing PFS, so she'll get it, I just wasn't sure when to apply it.
Danicka Raburnus |
Do I just add it to my online character sheet, or do I need the boon paper filled out by a PFS GM?
Vogue |
@Danica Raburnus, the "Welcome to Pathfinder Society" boon sheet is just something you get only one of and can only be applied to your first PFS character. Normally it should be given by your GM or the venture officer/event coordinator at your first game. But if that didn't happen at your first game, or maybe other circumstances like if maybe a play-by-post is your first game, then it should be allowable to still get you that Welcome boon sheet. Also, there is a Welcome to Starfinder boon sheet and the exact same applies.
Anyway, you're going to want to get a folder for each of your characters to keep all your chronicle sheets in and any boon sheets you acquire and apply to that character.
Vogue |
Guys, one thing that does need resolution before the chronicle sheets finalize: the warp wood spell on Yaiho's earth breaker. That's a permanent effect and we need to either pay 60 gold for spell casting services to have warp wood cast on it again to turn it back to normal or 40 gold to buy a new one.
@Yaiho Crasher, was this a normal earth breaker or a masterwork one?
Regardless, I'm more than happy to chip in for the cost. We don't get a large amount of money at low level and spreading it out makes the cost more negligible.
Zane Shivers |
Zane is a Druid with Warp Wood on his spell list, so could cast from a scroll. Also has Mending orison if that works to fix the earthbreaker.
I am also willing to pitch in to fix the weapon if Mending does not work.
GM Gustavef |
@Danicka: I can fill out A welcome to PFS boon as well for you.
@Warp wood: it needs another warp wood or make whole, a scroll would cost 150 since it is level 2. Aside from a new one or 60gp for casting. You can opt to spend one Prestige Point for a casting of make whole
Let me know you all want to do, and I will mark the CRs
GM Gustavef |
If it helps you did get 2 prestige and 509 gold for this adventure
Yaiho Crasher |
It was a normal earth breaker. But don't worry about getting it repaired. I plan on using the money from this quest to buy a masterwork earth breaker. It cost 340gp to get a MW Earth Breaker, so I'm going to spend that to get one.
Danicka Raburnus |
Thank you! I'll need the Welcome to PFS boon sheet.
We each get 2 prestige and 509 gold? Or as a group we get 509 gold. Not sure how it works. This is my first PFS adventure.
Vogue |
We would get 509 gold apiece, plus any day job money if you have one.
@Yaiho Crasher, if you're cool with the old earth breaker going out to pasture for a new masterwork one, then that resolves the warped condition. I thank you for your cooperation for shouldering it. I'm a bit of a stickler when it comes to permanent conditions that need resolving at the end of the scenario and for pitching in to spread out the cost.
Vogue |
Also, my thanks to our GM for putting this together and running things, and to everyone for their part in crafting this story. I certainly wouldn't mind playing alongside you again and if I ever meet any of you at like Gencon or something, I'd gladly buy you a drink.
Danicka Raburnus |
Yeah, that was great fun! Thanks for giving us the opportunity to play Gustavef, and thanks to all the players for putting up with Danicka's quirks. Haha.
Yaiho Crasher |
No problem Vogue. Before this adventure I had decided to use his reward to buy a masterwork one. Then save up to enchant it later on.
Danicka's quirks were cute and fit in with the big bulky guys in the group. Big guys love nothing more than to protect cute little ones. :P
Naseem Hamed |
GG all. I appreciated playing with you guys. Was fun.
GM Gustavef |
Thanks everyone. Last call for day jobs.
You roll a Profession, craft, or performance skill you have trained to get some extra gold.
I will fill out the forms later today when I am on my main computer
