You move towards a large fountain. At its centre, a white marble statue of a dwarf stands and you see a tiny gecko come from the other side of the statue and disappears back behind it. In a strange sense of deja vu it scampers around again but this time does not remerge.

Crumbling Pillars: The six pillars are badly corroded, Any of the pillars can be collapsed (hardness 6, hp 20, Break DC 18) to deal 2d6 points of bludgeoning damage to all creatures in a 25-foot line. The affected squares also turn into difficult terrain.

Whichever one of you has the clay egg thinks this would be a great time to use it

We never set down who was carrying the egg. Since I'm the one posting, I'm going to say that Ahmandé had it.

"Whaaaaaat is that?!?" Ahmandé gasps in awe. "Is that the guardian? Does that mean that now is the time to crack this... weapon?... open?" He's withdrawn the clay egg from his bag, and is holding it in two hands. Looking from one Pathfinder to the other, he sees nods from most everyone, though they range from hesitant to confident.

Ahmandé nods himself. Still gripping the egg firmly in two hands, he 'cracks' it up against the nearest wall, hoping to split it into two good halves and release... whatever... is stored inside!

...and I guess I'm assuming that this is the right way to use it. The grippli didn't really indicate how it was to be used...

Kaya's eyes go wide, "um well... I don't know? But watch out for those pillars, they could collapse pretty easy."

Read the spoiler for details on how to collapse them, otherwise be aware of your location near them.

Ahmande cracks the egg to reveal a piece of sky metal in a strange symbol. It may even be part of the sky key. Upon seeing it the guardians attitude (and altitude) changes it lands in front of you and opens out its wings and booms out "WELCOME! FRIENDS OF ASHKURHALL!" And stands absolutely still. The kobolds who just started a chant of "Golden God! Golden God! suddenly fall silent again. They then start jabbering amongst themselves and then present five accusations against you

“What is this? You put a curse on our Golden God with
that trinket!”

“The idiot human who collapsed the corridor was a
friend of yours, wasn’t he?”

“You attacked kobolds a few weeks ago just outside
these ruins, didn’t you?”

“How did you get past Stinkeye? Did you murder him?”
“You have been stealing our stuff!”

The guardian then asks "HOW DO YOU RESPOND"

As there are five of you I'd like to respond to one accusation each. Your responses can be apologetic (diplomacy) evasive (bluff) or beligerent (intimidate) You can nominate a spokesperson for your answer but no spokesperson can speak more than three times

Kaya responds quickly to the first accusation, "no of course not! We would never intentionally curse this fine being. If nothing else, this should show that we are here for peaceful purposes as your guardian is giving us an opportunity to explain ourselves. Please, just hear us out."

Kaya will willingly convey anyone else's responses if they are diplomatically worded and whispered to her. Up to 2 more times of course... then she gets tired of talking. :D

Hearing their accusers call out, with his companions each rebuking in turn, he finds himself stuck on a particular accusation.

'Attacked kobolds? Hmm... Well, we may have fought a few...'

Putting as big a smile as he could on his face, the half-orc turns to the kobolds. "Us? Fight kobolds? Nope. Must have been those Aspis Agents. Kaya confers with her allies on each mural, but does not give a guess to the 'guardian' until the group agrees upon a response.

The first mural depicts a dwarf in a cave gazing up and shielding her eyes with a hand.

"Hrmm, that might be the first dwarf emerging from a cave and seeing sun for the first time."

"Um... I'm guessing that was some sort of major clan battle."

K: Local DC 15: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22

The fifth mural depicts rolling hills with dark gray, rocky soil, punctuated with veins of gold. A vine covered in lavender flowers crushes a giant lizard like a constricting serpent.

HEY! The lizard is like where we just came back from and the flower monsters are like we dealt with here last time. I wonder what it means together."

K: Nature DC 15: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21

She summarizes her thoughts, "I'm guessing it is showing this clan's history. Leaving their caves, then having that meteor thing, then probably fighting a civil war, then splitting, maybe into four tribes, then finding this place and settling down." She shrugs, "but that's just my guesses right now. I'll have to think on these murals more."
