Zyrethian Voninquel |
Zyrethian focuses for a moment as a translucent field emanates from him and then he quickly moves into a position where he can see at least part of the doorway, but hopefully he is himself hidden.
Damn! If only I had memorized message today I could have told everyone the password for the alarmed area.

I'm here. Just on a business trip and stuck in a work meeting ALL day! Finally back in my hotel room with some takeout sushi and chocolate chip cookies.
Kirrote notices the unstable boxes and instead of stepping back from them, he surges forward and pushes the crates towards the door. He leans into them and strains but to no avail.

Shorty and Zyrethian sneak closer, while Pavo drops more smoke to cover his approach. Anastasia keeps her bow trained on the doorway, while Kane comes up behind Kirrote, who tries but fails to push back on the boxes.
This time, two of the Aspis agents do manage to tumble a pile of crates onto Kirrote, and Anastasia quickly fires an arrow through the opening.
Everybody is up.
@Kirrote: DC 15 Reflex to negate damage.

Kane moves up behind Kirrote and fires his crossbow through the new opening at the Aspis man.

Kirrote ignores the falling crates and shrugs them off as they fall on him, without any concern for the damage they do to his body. Now that there is a gap, he can see some of the agents. With his larger size he is able to reach farther so he swings his axe at the closest one.

@Kirrote - Noting HP, I think I healed you to full after the last encounter.
Kirrote |
I was carrying a -3 from our encounter outside then I took 8 more damage during the inside encounter. I thought you only healed me 8. Did I miss another healing?
Also I just noticed that I calculated my attack wrong due to being enlarged. It should have been +1 due to STR increase and -1 due to increased size. I forgot to add the -1.
Kane Eriksen |
Oh dang -- if I realized you were down another 3, I would have healed that. No worries my plan is stand behind you with Wand of CLW now.
Pavo: the Crimson Nuthatch |
Pavo steps to the edge of the cloud and readies his whip.

not adding inspire courage because I believe you said you resolve us in initiative order and as Zyrethian has no reason to hold his action, Pavo's Inspire starts after my action. If I am misunderstanding at the +1s as appropriate. My target has soft cover from my allies which I seem to remember you saying you would apply. I did not add the target in melee penalty because I was not sure if it applied in these circumstances.
I added the template for the protective aura coverage now that I am closer to the others.

Shorty continues to sneak up, while Zyrethian announces his presence with a hasty arrow shot. Pavo begins one of his tall tales, and then Kane fires an arrow right into the face of the visible Aspis agent. Unfortunately, it ricochets harmlsessly off the man's visor. Kirrote's swing nearly severs the man's harm however, and leaves him bleeding out quickly.
Another stack of crates falls crashing into Kirrote, then the third enemy appears in the opening with his unholy symbol raised high, and waves of pain hit the first row of Pathfinders.
Everybody is up.
@Anastasia: None of the enemies were visible by your turn. Would you like to retcon to some sort of buff?
@Kirrote: Another DC 15 Reflex to negate.
@Anastasia, Kane & Kirrote: DC 13 Will to halve 2 negative energy damage.
Highshanks 'The Shorty' Miller |
"Dern it." Shorty decides to eschew his stealthing plan and just move up.

Kane calls on his guard to fight the evil cleric's energy, and Kirrote falls to the ground in uncontrollable laughter. Anastasia sees an opportunity though, and blasts the injured Aspis agent in the face with a translucent fist of energy.
Both of the enemies step up to attack Kirrote while he's vulnerable, then hover over his laughing body, waiting to pounce when he stands up.

@Zyrethian: Given everybody's current locations, there is no way to hit the NPCs without hitting allies, too.
@Anastasia: Are you taking the -4 penalty for firing into melee?
Despite the crates in his way, Shorty lands a glancing blow against his opponent, while Zyrethian climbs up onto the crates, and Pavo begins a long spell. Kane does his best to keep Kirrote in the fight, who separates the red-haired singer from his feet with a single slice of his axe blade. Anastasia aims for first blood on the last Aspis agent, but just can't hit with Kirrote in the way.
Clearly not in an enviable position, the last Aspis agent flees for his life.
