PFS Number-Character Number
Day Job Roll
Medium or Slow
Any other things that you need on the chronicle sheet.
Thanks!
Hope Everyone is enjoying the game so far, I have to give a shoutout to my fellow VC Kenny Pearson, who made a guest appearance last night as Teriis. Teriis and Skelly (who is one of my PFS Characters nearing retirement) have actually met in game before. So I thought it would be neat to have them interact a bit and I appreciate Kenny spending time to do that.

Richard,
Here's another way of resolving initiative in a PbP that I've found works quite well:
Once you determine initiative order, you can have it look something like this: PC1, PC2, NPC1, PC3, PC4, NPC2, PC5, PC6.
Instead of resolving things in strict order, the way you would sitting around a gaming table where everyone is (hopefully) present and paying attention, you instead group all the PCs around the NPCs into a block, and then have them go in POSTING order within that block (i.e. whoever posts first, goes first).
Using the above example, PCs 1 and 2 would be in one block in round 1, PCs 3 and 4 would be in another block, and so on. Once PC1 and 2 have posted, the GM resolves their actions and posts the actions of NPC1, after which PC3 and PC4 may post in any order.
This can speed up combat in a PbP game, because PC 2 doesn't have to wait for PC 1 to post before he can post. Waiting for others to post can be a big time suck in a PbP game. It also doesn't invalidate initiative (and the powers and feats that enhance it), because you're still maintaining the general order, and the advantage that acting before someone else gives you.
A coda to this, is that in the above example, you can actually make PCs 5, 6, 1, and 2 into a single block once you hit the end of round 1. This speeds things up even more.
You can, of course, take it or leave it. You just mentioned that this is your first time, so I thought I'd try to be helpful.

I really like this suggested method, and it's what I've seen used most frequently. The few games I've seen w strict posting take about twice as long.

Yeah, I agree. I misunderstood the "can act" at the top of the page.
Having characters act in blocks works much better in PbP. Trying to go in exact order, especially with 7 people, is going to make it drag significantly.
im okay with acting in blocks... we can do that after this round. It only became a problem with Old Iron acted before the BADDY did.
allright, going to post the baddys actions and then everyone past it can go.

I think it's fairly common to either put someone in delay or total defense if they don't post when they are up, after some set amount of time usually like 24 hours. Completely up to you, or are we stopped for another reason?
Yea, I will go ahead and move through init in just a bit. Would have this morning but had a funeral to attend.

I would argue that I drew that torch and tindertwig in one movement, one appearing in each hand. Since I had to drop my weapon anyway. Then using my Standard to ignite it. I think I'm wielding a lit torch right now.
If you can show me a rule that allows you to "Retrieve more than one stored item" with a single move action. I will allow it.
Ordinarily it would cost you a move action for each. I will allow you to change your actions if youd like to:
Move action to Store Weapon, Move Action to Draw Torch.
and then
Move action to Draw Tindertwig, Standard Action to Light.

Pass. Already said I just dropped my weapon, since that's a free action. Wasn't planning on arguing this too hard, really. Just wanted to end this particular combat before it dragged on too long.

I went ahead with the "falls into darkness" angle.
The pit, by its description sounds like it is too deep to see the bottom.
Most likely, the fall killed him, but there is a very small chance it didn't.
This way, if he changes his mind and comes back, he can show up and scream at us for leaving him in the pit.

Posting this from the on of the waiting areas now as she is having a cat scan done to see whats causing it. Yall just hang tight and I will get combat started up when I get to my comp later tonight, and light a candle/goblin/abadarian cleric for me.
