No one finds anything in the room. As they come to the door, no one hears anything from the other room. Then when the door opens a stench comes through and assails the party's nostrils. Fort Saves please, DC 11 or be sickened. The smell is akin to the smell of rotten eggs mixed with the reek of an open sewer. Racks for weapons line the walls of this chamber; above the racks hang various shields, pieces of armor, weapons, and standards on display. Most of the racks are empty, but a few weapons remain in place. And in the middle of the room are two humanoids with dull gray scaly hide. Its frame resembles that of a cave lizard, with a long tail and crests on its head and back.

Colmillo, with his fine senses couldn´t avoid being affected by the stink, not like Jhon, who seems unaffected by the stench.

He'll take ten for 22. Although lookign at it, I'm not sure I remember why there is a +3 misc bonus against appraise, so that maybe 19. I'll do some digging to check, let me know if it makes a difference.

I think the +3 must be related to a familiar before he was rebuilt as I can't see any other reason for it. So Val doesn't notice anything? Or would you prefer a roll given this is a 'notice' rather than him specificly doing something.l

Looking around the room Valandil finds a masterwork silver dagger, a masterwork light steel shield emblazoned with a dolphin, and a banner depicting a bird of living flame. K(local) DC 20 to figure out who the banner used to belong to.
So...three choices, go through the door to the east, the south east, or climb the building from the outside again.

After pointing out the valuable items, Valandil points to the centre door.
"I suspect the staircase up will be in there. The strongest part of the tower and all. Speaking of strong.. would one of you strong types care to open it - I don't hear anything, but I didn't hear those other smelly things either."
Valandil takes the time to do a couple of sketches of the lizard men to put in his journal, noting the horrible smell associated with them as well.
