Scenario B-1: The Godless Ones

Villain: Sophini

Servitor Demon: Demonling

Scenario Rules: When you acquire an ally, you may succeed at an Intelligence or Knowledge 6 check to examine the top card of any location deck.

Scenario Reward: Each character draws a random blessing that has the Corrupted trait from the box.

Next step is for each character to decide where they want to start and then draw their starting hand. Since we're playing out of the box, I will need to track your cards more closely than I do for the Season game where it doesn't really matter.

For this scenario, I don't think it matters what turn order, so when you declare where you're starting, unless it matters to you, roll a 1d100 for initiative.

I'm sorry guys! I have a tab open for this campaign and for the other one, and they're both on the discussion page. I have been checking on them and since I hadn't yet been to the "gameplay" part it never showed that there were "new" postings.

Someone had mentioned getting phone #'s for text alerts - should that be sent over PM's since the campaign pages are public?

I'll catch up on the gameplay page for each and get started now.

I'm planning to recharge DD for mine but will have to wait until I'm home to get the stats.

It's d&d night and I can check in on my iPod on my friend's wifi. I have a dumb phone and that's why I can't check in at work.

Yeah, the "bane spreader" barriers were the biggest problem with these early scenarios. Luckily, there are only two of these. There are also two of the Arboreal Blights and two of the Corrupted Crusaders, but those only depend on the encountering character defeating them to defeat the barrier. In any case, I'll update the game situation with everything we used and then roll to see if I can explore again (since I defeated a monster).

Okay, so I have two Combat 11 checks (assuming that I don't make the Wisdom check again). My crossbow is 1d10 + 1d6 + 1 which is a 10, so I need help to be sure of making these checks. I've got my Blessing for a d10 and I can recharge my Cure for a 1d4. I think that I need Kyra's other Blessing. That will give me 2d10+1d6+1 for both checks with an additional d4 for the adept.

You okay with that Kyra?

NOTE: if I make the Wisdom check, then the Demonling is only an 8 and I'll recharge the Cure spell against him for 1d10+1d6+1d4+1 and use my Blessing against the Adept for 2d10+1d6+1.


Assuming that Malcolm can't check until later and that he'll be okay with me using his Blessing, since I will get to close the location, I'm going ahead

I banish my Hand Crossbow to close the Watchtower and draw a Scythe as the weapon I get on closing.

I end my turn and reset my hand.

Ah, so you get those Blessings right back! That's a cool power that WOTR Kyra has! You get a self-heal when using that Demon/Undead power or when you help someone else!


It's very powerful as she can give that healing to anyone at her location also.

Discarding an ascension from top of deck...Using Imrijka's Ascension too !

I'll be out all day reffing hockey and then have a dinner engagement tonight. I'll try and update when I can. Given that Kyra is down to two cards, I didn't want to reveal the next card in case she isn't exploring.


Well, I probably wouldn't be able to close this location, but there's only a 10% chance of finding the henchman and I'd feel bad about not exploring once, so I'll go for it. I'm also going to be out pretty much all day, so let's just say if I do find a henchman I'll just fail and discard my hand because I don't want to have to burn through the whole location (and it's only two cards).
