You start your adventure here.

Captured by the drow! You wouldn’t wish this fate upon anyone, yet here you are—locked in a dark cave, the cold, heavy weight of metal tight around your throat and wrists. You are not alone. Other prisoners are trapped in here with you, in an underground outpost far from the light of the sun.
Your captors include a cruel drow priestess who calls herself Mistress Ilvara of House Mizzrym. Over the past several days, you’ve met her several times, robed in silken garments and flanked by two male drow, one of whom has a mass of scars along one side of his
face and neck.
Mistress Ilvara likes to impress her will with scourge in
hand and remind you that your life now belongs to her. “Accept your fate, learn to obey, and you may survive.” Her words echo in your memory, even as you plot
your escape.

Hess pulls and tugs at the chains once again, and once again to no avail. But, he must never give up. There would be no chance for revenge if he remains in bonds. He grimaced as the scabs on his wrists once again tore away... Then he turned and slid down the wall... Hopeless.

Anders spits once again in the direction of the voice of the drow mistress, although it is getting harder and harder to do so in his dehydrated state. He cannot make out the others that share his fate because of the darkness, but he can hear them struggle against their chains.

I will cleave off their drow heads when I get out of this...must...stay...strong...

Arannis has been sitting quietly for a while, when suddenly he perks up and declares, "Guys! I finally remembered the last verse! We can finish that sing-along that I got us started with yesterday! Ready? Spitty guy, start us off!"

Can't shake my optimism! ;D Also, what can we see around us? Do we know where our gear is?

Description
You hear the name of the place is Velkynvelve. The drow have mentioned the name a few times.
Velkynvelve’s slave pen is closed with a heavy iron gate
bolted into the stone. The prisoners are provided with clay chamber pots, and one of the duties of slaves is to empty them into the
pool during their shift. There are no other comforts in
the slave pen. Prisoners must sit or lie on the stone floor,
and are fed only once each day—a thin mushroom broth
served in small clay bowls passed through gaps in the
bars of the gate. There are others in pen with a you. A small voice whispers to each of you.
Be patient my friends, all of this is apart of the divine plan for me. The voice is soft and warm. It comes from a male derro. He seems friendly.

Rornvak strains at his chains, sure that he can weaken them in time. His anger is fueled by the shame of his capture. He should have known those duergar were not the brains behind the raid...he should have smelt the drow hand behind them. His joy of defeating those 'dark' dwarves was short lived, as the drow swarmed him and took him down with their foul magics. To awaken in this prison is almost more than he could bear!
He relaxes once again and takes in his surroundings. The others with him are a hodgepodge of races..a couple of humans and an elf..and now some derro is whispering at him.
"Shut yer face you half-human reject! Canna you see I busy here!", he whispers back in a harsh voice.

Has Rornvak any uses of his rage left??

Rornvak roll % and beat 50 if you make it you do.

1d100 ⇒ 62

Sweeeeet...

If yer doin' something to get us outa here, then get busy. Otherwise, shut it, derro!

Rornvak looks over to the human, looks him up and down, then give him a single nod.

"No need for everyone to be so grouchy; I'm sure whatever the plan is, we can make it work if we all work together," Arannis says, smiling at all his cellmates. "So!" he continues, looking at the derro, "What should we do, my little friend?"

Hess simply sits, his back against the wall and waits for his weariness to overcome his pain and despair, and to drift of into sleep.

My friends be patient still. I believe our captors will add to our number. The gentle derro says to the group. Don't listen to the mad man and his plan. Do you wanna bet that he is up to something? A male deep gnome says.

"What could he be up to? We're already prisoner-slaves in an underdark deathpit. We're poised for upward mobility!"

Arannis follows his declaration with a bright smile. After a brief pause, he adds, "In the meantime, was that a 'no' on the sing-along, or...?"

We are moving forward

Here is the area around you. The pen you are in has low light coming from the lichen found in the walls of the cavern. It makes seeing a little hard for those without dark vision.
As Arannis comments a deeper voice speaking elven blank
Who all here speaks elvish?
As each of you look around the area. You see each other and 3 short gray looking creatures that are taller than halflings but shorter than dwarfs. There is a tall looking gray skinned brute in the far end of the pen. The derro who spoke earlier is smiling in the dark, and next him sits a small creature that resembles a mushroom. You happen to see a female dwarf and sitting next to her is taller humanoid creature that looks like a fish. In the far corner of the pen there is elvish looking prisoner whose skin is dark like your capturers.
Take this time engage others around you

Seeing one of his kin, Rornvak calls over to her in dwarven.

Dwarven:

Lass, what happened to you? How did you end up in this slave pen? What is yer name?

The dwarf who is female responds. I got to caught in raid while we were fighting orcs. Before she can answer a drow yells for Make room for one more and a wood elf is tossed in the pen.

A wood elf is tossed into the pit. The body slumps unconscious as it hits the ground. The Drow then come into the pen, and several quaggoth assume guard. A single drow comes by starts to undo the chains. As he does he says My mistress would like know who is the strongest among you. If you survive the night you may get sold for a good price. Then the drow and quaggoth leave.

Hess keeps his mouth shut for the moment, and awaits his opportunity. Too many elves and dwarves in this for my liking. I dislike the underdark ones immensely, but really don't trust the surface dwelling ones either.

Standing up and jingling his chains to get everyone attention, Rornvak flexes his impressive muscles and says, "Well looks like the dwarf will have to get you others out of another fix, unless someone thinks they can defeat me in a feat of raw strength...rather than pyrotechnic flatulence?"

I will stand toe to toe with anyone, including you, Dwarf. But why should we fight each other when we are not enemies and share a common one like this dark whore?

@Jelly - Are you sticking with that avatar?

At Jelly everyone started this way. You will not get anything since you where just brought in. As far survival goes everyone give me Survival or Wis roll DC is 15

15 and Higher:

You are able to make through the night. You were able to communicate with the others. The guards did not mess with you etc..

14 and below:

The night was rough as you moved about the pen. The guards and drow messed with you causing you to shun others. As you slept you had nightmares of oily tentacles and insects. The dream you had filled you dread.

As the next day begins..You each react to the night before.

Another night of restless sleep. Hess awoke to the feeling of one of the guards relieving himself on his leg, and lurched to his feet with a growl of anger.

I've got to stay alive long enough to take my revenge on that one in particular. Even if I have to work alongside some of the others of their kin races.

@ Jelly both. @ Arranis The communication between your characters during the night.
As the "morning" goes on another day starts. The drama of the drow gets old. How many times has the guard made a grand statement like that?
For those of you who been here a while this game is nothing new.
Here is also what you know and what have shared with other prisoners.
There are nineteen drow at the outpost, including
Ilvara, Shoor, and Jorlan, as well as another priestess
named Asha. There are also a dozen quaggoths and a
number of giant spiders.
• Three drow guards watch the slave pen from the
hanging guard tower across the rope bridge, visible
through the locked gate.
• The cell has some sort of antimagic effect on it (see
area 11 for details).
• Jorlan the drow warrior suffered disfiguring injuries
recently. Before then, he seemed more in Ilvara’s
favor. Now Shoor seems to have displaced him.
• Jorlan used to have a wand that shot globs of sticky
material able to trap targets. Now Shoor carries it, as
another sign of their change in status.
• It might be a matter of days or tendays before a contingent
from Menzoberranzan arrives to take prisoners
back to the drow city.

A male orc that is in the pen starts to yell at the drow prisoner that is in the pen. I should kill you where you stand, I am tired of your people games. The Orc named Runt says to the drow named Sarith Kzekarit. The drow simply looks at the orc and scoffs. If you try to harm me the Matron will feed you to the spiders. He then turns his back to the orc. The twin deep gnomes Tobsy and Turvy look at the drow and mutter to themselves. The Kua-toa named Shuusahar sits quietly looking at the orc. The female dwarf named Eldeth yells back at the Orc. Maybe Grummish will accept you if you die a cowards death. A small mushroom looking creature huddles in the corner next to the quggoth that is quite. The mushroom starts to spreads it spoors to those near by.
What do you all want do? BTW Jelly your awake

Jelly your up!

[ooc] Let me recap some stuff for you guys. Just give some better clarity. Each of you ended up being captured by the Drow. Some of you have been here for 10 days or less. There are some other captives that are of interest to you. There is the Derro that has spoken, there is a shield dwarf female, a orc, a drow, three deep gnomes, quaggorth, and a mycoid. The drow come in each night and toy with you about surviving each night. Some you have had nightmares, about demons. Now the orc is starting a fight a the Drow guards. [/occ]
