Sele the Thorn |
"I am moving to help, but I am slow" calls out Sele
GM Chyro |
Alacorta hits for 5, and receives some attention from his mistress.
------------------
The stone circle, round 7
The little one takes total defense, and runs away, avoiding a shot from Vassago as he blurs between the stones.
Acro vs AoO: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (12) + 14 = 26

Sele

Spenser & Vassago

Sele the Thorn |
Sele moves off towards the little guys new position
GM Chyro |
Sele walks a bit more, after the little menace had shown itself running.
---------
Theother quickling suddenly rushes at Kenji, and stabs him with a rapier, before dashing away.
1d20 + 10 ⇒ (14) + 10 = 241d4 - 1 ⇒ (2) - 1 = 1
Acro: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (2) + 14 = 16
AoO kenji: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 81d8 + 3 + 1d4 ⇒ (4) + 3 + (4) = 11
The little nuisance is a bit too quick for his punch.

Spenser & Vassago
Keera & Kenji
Sele the Thorn |
Hey i moved 40 .. that's a double move.. i'm soo not walking
Sele the Thorn |
I moved it.. when not on my phone I can move my icon..
Spenser Quixote |
Spenser double-moves.
Kenji Nishida |
Kenji dashes after the quickling... IF he can catch up, he'll grapple him.
grapple, cmb: 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 7 + 2 = 23
GM Chyro |
Not quite, but Kenji sees the evil little creature mocking him, swirling his little rapier.
Keera
Keera Airbornt |
Alacorta charges toward the same quickiling as Keera moves toward the other. I catch you She shouts when she casts a faerie fire over it.
Alacorta´s bite, bull's strengh, charge, higher ground: 1d20 + 5 + 2 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 5 + 2 + 2 + 1 = 241d6 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 + 2 = 5
GM Chyro |
The fey is lucky, as by the defensive stance, he manages to dodge in time to avoid Alacorta's charge.
It is not fortunate, to be lit like a decoration, along with Alacorta, renewing the unwanted visibility.
-------------------------
The stone circle, round 8
The quickling withdraws, speeding across the inner circle and disappears behind the stones in the NE, meanwhile showing the others a pretty color fwooshing by.

Sele the Thorn |
Sele draws a chakram ready to throw, he holds his greatsword in his off hand
GM Chyro |
The quickling stabs at Kenji with his rapier.
1d20 + 10 ⇒ (7) + 10 = 171d4 - 1 + 1d6 ⇒ (2) - 1 + (2) = 3
But falls short, as Kenji leans to the left at the right time.
"Darnit.."
Acro vs AoO: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (18) + 14 = 32
The quickling runs towards the other one.

Spenser & Vassago
Keera & Kenji
Spenser Quixote |
Thinking tactically, Spenser moves toward the far side of the circle.
"Spread abroad the circumference, ye companions, that they fain hath no sheltered quarter!"
Keera Airbornt |
It is not fortunate, to be lit like a decoration, along with Alacorta, renewing the unwanted visibility.
I was aiming the other one, the one who was fighting with Kenji
GM Chyro |
Pardon, then Kenji is lit like a sparkly decoration.
Vassago Ilsidore |
Vassago, seeing with the two went this time, moves over and finally seeing one of the quicklings blasts it with a ball of water.
I understand if the pillar gives the guy a cover a bonus to AC
Water blast @ Red: 1d20 + 8 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 8 + 1 = 29
Miss chance > 20 is hit: 1d100 ⇒ 81
Damage on hit: 3d6 + 8 + 1 ⇒ (2, 4, 4) + 8 + 1 = 19
Crit confirm: 1d20 + 8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 8 + 1 = 12
Extra damage on crit: 3d6 + 8 + 1 ⇒ (1, 4, 1) + 8 + 1 = 15
Not a confirm, but a solid hit at least!
Spenser Quixote |
It's literally a corner-case.
Give us the benefit of the doubt, DM - this fight's frustrating enough.
GM Chyro |
I imagine that's was on the mind of the writers.....sadists :).
1 No, 2 Yes: 1d2 ⇒ 2
"OOoofff"
Vassago takes down the quickling.
GM Chyro |
Thank the paladin who's on his knees. ;)
These two aught to be a tagteam of hit & run....i'm a softie.
Kenji Nishida |
kenji moves a bit closer to the quickling and readies an action to grapple if it comes in range again.
Keera Airbornt |
Keera casts a produce flame to start shoting the last creature as Alacorta continues following it trying to bite it.
Alacorta´s bite, same buffs as always: 1d20 + 5 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 5 + 2 + 1 = 161d6 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 + 2 = 6
GM Chyro |
(Bite)
.....
(Dodge)
---------
The stone circle, round 8
The speedster stabs at Alacorta.
Rapier: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (18) + 10 = 281d4 - 1 + 1d6 ⇒ (3) - 1 + (6) = 8
Acro vs aoo: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (3) + 14 = 17
AoO: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15Dmg: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
The fey bolts away after his attack.

Spenser Quixote |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |
Spenser continues to cover the far side, and tries to pretend he's oblivious and distracted.
Bluff: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
Standing with both hands on his sword and humming VERY LOUDLY kind of makes it seem obvious, however....
Sele the Thorn |
Sele moves 4 and waits for the little creature to try and pass him.. spreading out as was suggested.
Kenji Nishida |
Kenji runs up and tries to grapple the quick little critter. 40' move and attack
cmb to grapple: 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 7 + 2 = 18
GM Chyro |
You hit the CMD exactly.
1d100 ⇒ 5
Unfortunately his continuous blur saves him.
Kenji Nishida |
grr.. I forgot about the miss chance.. sigh
Kenji's arms curl around nothing as the fuzzy edges of the quickling confuse his senses and his attack is off a bit because of this.
Vassago Ilsidore |
Vassago heals the bird who is able to keep up with the fast moving man.
Kinetic Heal @ Alacorta: 3d6 + 7 ⇒ (3, 6, 4) + 7 = 20
And Alacorta's HD in nonlethal damage to it, but still better than 1!
GM Chyro |
Several things happen quickly.
Sele and Spenser move out, the latter trying to bluff the quickling.
Kenji tries grabbing the fey, but its natural blur saves him.
Keera
Vassago, Alacorta is quite a distance from you.
Keera Airbornt |
Alacorta, attack with Kenji asks Keera to her companion, thus asking him to move into a flanking position. The she hurls a flame to the creature trying to not hit Alacorta, neither Kenji.
Alacorta`s bite, bull's strength, flank, miss 20%: 1d20 + 5 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 5 + 2 + 2 = 211d6 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 + 2 = 61d100 ⇒ 73
Ranged touch attack, enemy in combat miss chance: 1d20 + 6 - 4 ⇒ (16) + 6 - 4 = 181d6 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 61d100 ⇒ 71
Produce flame; 3 minutes and 9 rounds remaining
GM Chyro |
Alacorta deals 1 damage.
Keera, the quickling has total cover from you, due to being behind the large stone.
Keera Airbornt |
First, yes Alacorta was right next to him before I post (I chacked again the distance moved, its 60 feet, also he must pass through a threatened square, so AoO.
Second, if Keera doesn´t see the quickling from his position he just flies toward until until she sees it from up in the air, I've moved the token.
GM Chyro |
You can see the little one has a special rock on him.
------------------
The stone circle, round 9
The quickling withdraws.
"Cymflemder doesn't get caught, you thieves!"
Acro vs Alacorta: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (6) + 14 = 20
AoO Alacorta: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25Dmg: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
Alacorta deals another 2.
Spenser sees a blur speeding by.

Spenser Quixote |
"We shall veure abund that, foul spriggan!"
dart: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17 minus cover penalty
miss chance, low is bad: 1d100 ⇒ 91
damage: 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
Can I keep the dart if I miss? Low is good: 1d100 ⇒ 95
GM Chyro |
Spenser's dart bounces off the stone the quickling now known as Cymflemdir, is hiding behind.
From behind the stone, a little voice mocks him.
"Your aim is as poor as your speech.
Aim at what you can see, hihihihi."
Spenser Quixote |
You're not just saying the stone won't let me throw at him, are you? This is another literal corner-case - although if you're simply saying my attack roll missed, that's another matter.
GM Chyro |
This is, when you look at the map, total concealment.
The other one would have been too, imo, but this one more so. From your square, drawing a line to its square crosses a solid object that is higher than you are.
If it were mere cover, it would miss.
Spenser Quixote |
I should be able to toss around the side, though, shouldn't I? It's a different story if you draw a straight line from the bottom edge of our squares, which is what might give me a chance. Total concealment, by itself at least, means only a 50% miss chance.
GM Chyro |
Concealment, i meant cover.
I've not been GM'ed, nor done myself, throwing or shooting around a wall like object like this large, where both combatants are on opposite sides of the object.
Spenser Quixote |
Like I said, literal corner-case, but okay - can I retcon my action, then?
GM Chyro |
Of course you can. I'm guessing you guys will get him in 3 rounds tops, if you're closing the routes.
Spenser Quixote |
Spenser's action, Take 2:
"We shall veure abund that, foul spriggan!"
Spenser closes in, ready with his massive sword...
readied attack, masterwork greatsword, Power Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27
Can I use my blur miss chance roll from before?
damage: 2d6 + 12 ⇒ (3, 5) + 12 = 20
CRITICAL THREAT!: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13
bonus damage: 2d6 + 12 ⇒ (2, 4) + 12 = 18
