Amara quickly moves over to the door that the dwarf was trying to open and listens for activity. Making sure we were not heard, but with that rifle going off.....

Perception to smell and listen: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13


The acrid smell of Rosa's black powder makes it difficult to from Amara to smell anything nor does she hear anything beyond the door.

The smoke causes Amara to sneeze.

"You know, that thing makes too much noise and smells a lot. No sneaky for me if you are near." she says with a half-smile.

"Have you shot anyone that wasn't in the back so far?" Vi asks with a teasing grin.

"Of course I have....didn't you see me blow away the first one that was coming towards Alton? Don't worry, I only got two bullets left, and I'm saving those for someone special." She quickly reloads her gun and then holsters it, pulling out her warhammer instead. "This should be a little quieter, it just doesn't have the range on it that my bessie does."


The door is like the one you encountered before, but this one is actually locked.

Moving over to the body of the dwarf nearest the locked door, Amara checks for keys.

Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26


Female Human Rogue 1

Vi walks over to the door, reaching into her belt for a couple of small tools. Crouching down she begins working dilligently at the door.

Disable device: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22


Amara doesn't find keys but Vi is able to pop the door open in a matter of moments.

Amara finds some equipment on the dwarves but not much more. Beyond the door, you hear the churning of pumps.

Smiling, Rosa holds smashy at the ready as she follows the others through the door.

The narrow corridors smell like oil and hot steam as you pass. Shortly, you come to a ledge and see a few more tattooed thugs standing around a man in a lab coat. They seem to be talking but you cannot hear anything over the machinery.

Alton stops singing as the dwarf falls to the floor. He gathers his things and joins the others at the door. "Amara shall we go down the scary hallway again?"

Yay for contaminated water supply. I'm not giving you xp for killing a bunch of innocent people though.

"Why don't you scare the hell out of them from up here. If they don't respond appropriately, then we toss the dead guy down and take them in the ensuing chaos?" Vi says thoughtfully.

Nye retrieves his javelins, trying not to look at the dead dwarves' faces. He gives the one bloodied javelin tip a cursory wipe with a rag before stowing it at his back again. Following the rest of the group, Aneirin grips his longspear - almost useless for turning around in the tunnels, but perhaps it will suffice to keep foes out of reach...

He runs to the left, two thugs run to the right and two run straight ahead.

"Thanks for letting me know which one you are A@&*#&$!!" Grabbing onto the ladder she looks at the others and smiles, "Looks like they wanna play...." Holding onto the sides of the ladder she slides down and takes off after Huston.

We're back home now....sorry for the long silence....things have been a little hectic with everything going on with my parental units.

Grunting in frustration she stops, Wait....Mara....we won't find him like...this. Is there any way...maybe you could sniff him out to figure out which way he went?"

She lowers her voice a little bit, not wanting to let him know her plan.

Putting away her rapier, Vi draws her crossbow and moves after the two running straight forward.


The other two run into a dead end. Machinery sits over a large pool of water, filtering out detritus and sending it on further into the plant. The thugs put up their hands, looking at Vi's crossbow.

"Who you with?" one of them asks the rogue.

"Not a murderer, and someone with more understanding that your boss. Toss your weapons between us and get on your knees, and there's no need for you two to get hurt over this." Vi says sternly.

Not wanting to get lost in the maze of tunnels Eleanor decides to guard the door they came through. Preventing anyone from coming and going until their buisness was finished.


The thugs toss their bats toward Vi and do as instructed. "Heh, I thought you was a gang member, trying to muscle in on our racket."

The other thugs elbows him in the ribs. "We don't gotta say nuthin'.

"No you don't, but it will definitely go better for you if you do. I'm not sure gang is the best word for us but....well.... you definitely don't want to cross us. People who do have a lousy habit of getting shot" she says with a chuckle.

"I've got these two under control!" she calls out kicking the bats aside.

Upon hearing Vi, Rosa smirks and calls back, Okay, Hussy is wanting to play hide and go seek with me and Mara so I'll let ya know when we catch the bastard!!"

Making sure Eleanor is fine with guard duty on her (and Eisen's) own he follows the sound of Vivian's call. Arriving to see the thugs genuflecting admirably Aneirin smirks.

"Nice work, Vi!"
