Rowena turned her attention to the bearded newcomer and gave him a gentle smile, "I am not of noble birth, Markov."

We all have horses, but I can't remember if we have them with us or we left them back at the trading post (I thought we rode out). Anyone from the original party care to confirm, please?

"Oh. Ah, sorry, didn't mean to assume. Its just what I heard from the Levetons of the groups that went into the Stolen Lands. But in their defense, You did kinda become their knights in shining armor!... Or at least to Mrs Leveton." As Markov rubs his neck with his free hand.

I checked. And yes, you all did have your mounts when you came out here. And Sheoll's mount is still around too.

We did ride out and we should still have Sheoll's horse. Nedyr should be able to ride Sheoll's old mount. I am not sure about Mimkmek and Crackjaw I don't recall them riding or if they would even be ok with it. We don't have mounts to fit them any way the only thing I can think of is offering a seat behind one of us if we wish to move fast.

Markov you are in good company I care more for a persons character then there lineage. A person claims true nobility through there actions. turning to Nedyr Alexander points out Shoell's old mount. Nedyr our brother in arms who passed left a horse that may suit your needs.

It was right and fair for Alex to have offered Sheoll's horse to Nedyr, for the Half-Elf required a mount and the horse had no rider now.

She was impressed, too, with Alexander's thoughts on pedigree -- it was a refreshing attitude, especially from one of noble birth.

At Nedyr's promise to treat the mount well, Rowena quietly added, "Sheoll had named the horse 'Kalak'. I will leave it to you whether you keep his name or give him another."

Turning to Mikmek, the priestess enquired respectfully, "Would the Sootscale tribe be willing to part with a few of the moonradishes? Mistress Svetlana made us a special request to find and collect some, for she would make a soup for her husband, for moonradishes are his favourite."

After a moment's thought, Rowena posed another question to Mikmek, "The moonradish patch is not set with traps, is it?"

The moon radish patch is much larger than any of you had suspected, the radishes have been carefully harvested such that mature radishes were taken leaving room for new growth. Someone has cut straw that is kept dry near a couple of trees, protected by birch bark. The patch appears plenty for kobolds, mites, and humans alike.....

"Yes many moonradishs, must be harvested correctly."

Points to Crackjaw who nods emphatically in agreement....

F Human Cleric 1/Ranger (Divine Tracker) 1 [HP: 20/20 | AC: 13 (17 vs ranged while prone) T: 11 FF: 12 | F: +4 R: +3 W: +5| Init: +1, Perc: +6]

"Please show us how to harvest them correctly. I would not like to disrespect your tribe through clumsy hands."

Markov looks a bit confused when Rowena mention harvesting moon radishes.
"Er, we're harvesting these radishes for the kobolds or something?"
Markov dismounts before looking around at the field. He then turns to Rowena and the Kobold. "So, um, moon radishes? What are the different beteen these and regular radishes?"

Know. Nature re differences between moonradishes and ordinary radishes: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24

Will rp the question about the differences once I hear back from the GM. :)

Rowena's brow arched at Markov's question regarding the harvesting, yet she answered him with gentleness, "We simply need to pick five or six good sized moonradishes for Svetlana. Her husband enjoys them and she wants to make a dish to please him. I did not want to disturb or destroy the plants - thus why I asked Mikmek the best way to harvest the moonradishes. We do not want to anger the kobolds and mites who enjoy these root vegetables. It would not be a good start to our upcoming meeting. I hope that explains what I meant." She gave the man a polite smile.

KenderKin: Rowena asked Mikmek if there were any traps around the patch and he didn't answer her. Are there? Thanks.

Mikmek steps out into the field and begins picking larger moonradishes. The skin of the radish is thicker than expected, and Mikmek cuts one open.

The pungent odor or horseradish mixes with an earthy odor...

Mikmek and Crackjaw sit down and start to weave some baskets to carry radishes in. surprisingly these two are fairly quick at making baskets from brush they chopped away from the edge of the patch.

"I believe six of the larger bulbs should be enough for whatever Svetlana has in mind", she brightly answered the Half-Elf.

Returning her gaze to the kobold and mite, she inclined her head, "Thank you for the baskets and the moonradishes. We are ready now to continue to the kobold camp, if you would be so kind to lead again, Crackjaw."

Rowena was unsure about taking her horse inside the dark cave. She had only recently learned to ride, yet she was uncertain how her horse would take to being led into such a closed place. So she dismounted and tethered it to a sturdy tree to the side of the cave entrance.

She approached quietly and came to stand just behind (and to the side of) Nedyr, Markov, the kobold and the mite.

Even though Markov did not seem concerned with keeping his voice low in case someone/something was hiding within the darkness, did not mean she wanted any attention to drawn to her presence. Too many times they were caught out by a hidden trap.

In lowered voice she instructed the two newcomers, "You may want to check for traps before you enter. I would not see you impaled or worse as you venture beyond the opening. And quietly as you go. I am no expert in caves, yet, I advise caution."

As Markov remarked that he would tie his rope to something, Rowena pointed to the larger rocks/boulders to the side of the cave or the saplings a little before the opening.
