Player or in character. Whichever you've got. After a lot of thinking I've decided to speed what was my "main" storyline up in order to make way for other ones without the sword of Damocles hanging over your heads. I think it will make for a better and more open experience.

Male Tiefling Void Elementalist 5

Honestly I got no clue what to do at this point. So the big bad we were supposed to stop from being released, is pretty much released. They just need the key and if the bad guys, which are way stronger then us, don't get it then the epic level law boys will.

How are we even in the picture anymore. -.-

Bonekeep Slides

Don't despair. Just because you're not the highest level in the room doesn't mean you're not important and key to the story.

Male Tiefling Void Elementalist 5

That's not the issue. It's that everything against us is by far higher level and I do not see a reason why they don't come and just take it. We have what they need most, they are more powerful with greater numbers. Why would they not come for it with everything they have, even if things were equal I would expect them to back the key retrieval sense once they have it they win. Their goal is accomplished.

That is what bugs me.

Female Half-Elf Rogue 1/ Inquisitor 4. Init: +5, hp: 30/30 F: +4, R: +4, W: +7, AC: 18

What I've learned from DMing for my regular group (who regularly ask similar questions about the motivations of my NPCs) is just to trust the DM. Maybe there's something we don't know about which prevents them from attacking? Knowing inevitables there's probably some contract somewhere with a loophole we can exploit.

All we can do is RP our characters. Of course Leralt may be just as frustrated with the situation himself seeing as he is a smart, logical person. Lena is far more faith-driven (unlike me in RL).

As far as player feed back goes I'm all for pushing things forward if you feel its best OMB.

In character, thats a pretty big surprise though ;)

I surrender.

It's been a long weekend and I've been working long hours and I am at the moment, exhausted. I think it's best to walk away at this point. I'm sorry, but it's becoming harder to justify sitting down and writing the posts. I do apologize, but I think I am going to stick with running pre-written adventures in the future. Homebrews are just harder the older I get and the more responsibility I accumulate. Work, fatherhood and a run of recent tribulations have taken their toll.

I just want to thank you, each of you for sticking with me this long. I hope you find more PbP opportunities and enjoy them greatly.

That's a shame. But I totally understand. This hobby is more like a job sometimes with the work required.

Thanks for the campaign though OMB and thanks to everyone else for being really cool people to game with. It was my first in Golarion (even though it wasn't) and my first pbp so thanks for the opportunities.

All the best folks :)

Male Human

Agreed! Thanks to everyone for all the fun! It was a blast!

Male Human(ish) Level 7 RPG Monkey

Thanks for the run. It's been fun.
