I submitted the Scatterstep Boots.

@OmniChaos: Hey dude, just wanted to be clear that I, for the most part, definitely enjoy what Leralt brings to the story and I hope he stays a part of it for a long time to come. But Catila is definitely fed up to the brim with Leralt's constant negative attitude and acidic comments.
Have I mentioned to you all already that I love this game? ; )
Leralt Littlehorn |
No worries I have been playing that 8 Cha kinda hard. While Leralt is a pain he has his reasons and the best interest of people at heart. He is just the type that wont open up or explain himself unless asked or approached.
Unless the DM rolls something nasty out in the wild or rigs something Leralt will return with goodies for the baddies. Then again the DM may just waste Leralt like a tiefling wax candle in front of a fireball. xP
Our Mysterious Benefactor |
A PC is a terrible thing to waste.
An entire party of PCs is much more fun to waste...

Hey folks--
Just read through your full game play, and wrote some huge compliments to the GM.
I then realized I could do the same for you folks that have kept playing through it.
Excellent work-- seriously. I've read through a bunch of pbp's on these boards of late, and it's a most splendid example of players contributing to the story over all.
Kudos.

Geez I guess no one read my post correctly or maybe I was not clear enough. Oh well I will relish correcting these assumptions when the time comes. ;)
Well, I had attempted to have you stopped at the gate by the wolves so Leralt and Krupt could have a heart-to-heart, but our GM seems to have missed that note. I suppose I'll leave it to Songan; it's his forte after all.
Leralt Littlehorn |
Just to be clear Leralt can craft magic arms and armor now. But his limited spell selection is going to hamper any effects for the moment. It will also be a time consuming processes so make sure its not an item you can not do with out for some time.
P.S. His two weeks can not be used for crafting anything so any crafting will have to be after the fact.
Our Mysterious Benefactor |
Okay, we will restart on Monday, so let's get all the final updates and upgrades ready to go. Also, Lena, hold off on visiting the Pale Guardians' former home, as Leralt would also like to go... And you're going to need the company.... [/evil grin]
Leralt Littlehorn |
Just so everyone knows, Leralt can craft wonderous items, arms, armor, and constructs. But you need to let him know ahead of time and any materials he is given will cut down on the time to craft which is an issue. Also he is limited to what spells he has access to sense currently his selection is a bit limited.
If I get a number of request I will put them in order of greatest need or ease of creation. So their will likely be a waiting list.
P.S. Hopefully we solve his spell problem soon. ;)
Lena Relani |
Hmmm I thought I'd posted a reply already but it seems the æther has eaten it up..
I'd like to request magica armour/weapons please Leralt if that's possible.
Ideally I'd like a +1 flaming (or something else cool like axiomatic or chaotic outsider bane) falcata. As for armour maybe + x agile breastplate or mithral breastplate. No idea what sort of availability you have so though I'd aim high!
I don't have much to pay with other than this +1 ghost touch terbutje we picked up when we first arrived on the island.
Cheers
Leralt Littlehorn |
A +1 would take me 2 days to make or 1 day if I had nothing else to do at all. I would suggest a +1 corrosive falcata sense few things are immune to acid and it is more controlable then fire would be, more so in a wilderness setting. That would take about 8 days or 4 if focused, I have the spell needed already so I could make that as soon as I am free.
As for armor I dont see agile as a armor special enchancement. Where is it from? As for a mithral breastplate thats not really magical enhancement, you would need to talk to a blacksmith not me. ;)

You're waiting on me. I'll update Monday morning. My RL game is on in a few minutes and has my attention.
Phillip0614 |
So...got a request for my favorite PbP group.
I had a seizure for the first time in my life yesterday morning and have ultimately discovered that it was a result of two nodules and a lesion in my right brain. There was a lot of swelling and edema around the area and I'm currently in the hospital taking steroids to reduce the swelling. I have a biopsy scheduled Friday to determine if it is malignant before we decide what route to take with treatment.
If any of you are praying people, please send a message Heaven-ward for me, please.
Khaladon |
Oh my Phillip! So sorry to hear that amigo.
I am sure that you have many praying for you and sending their positive energies your way. I have much less faith in western medicine and doctors in general than I do in the power of the human body and mind to heal themselves, and others. So I add my thoughts and wishes for your wellness to all the others pouring in to you.
Here's to your abundant health!
Phillip0614 |
Thanks for all the well-wishes, guys. I know that not everyone has my religious convictions and so I hope me asking for prayers doesn't bug any of you.
My preliminary pathology report is due back on Wednesday, but I won't know anything more about my condition until then. I had to go get some routine labs done today at a local doc. If my understanding is correct, the neurosurgeon is hoping to find increased calcium levels in my blood, because that may mean that the nodules and lesion in my brain are calcifying and that would mean they are significantly less likely to be cancerous.
As soon as I know something more, I'll let y'all know.
Our Mysterious Benefactor |
Hmm, I've never been in a position to cheer for calcification before, but let's hope that's what it is! On a related note, my sister had brain tumors and surgery in the past. It's definitely recoverable, and not nearly as bad as it sounds. Also you can see if they'll install a Matrix jack while they're in there...
Best wishes! I hope everything is the best it can be!

You're asking for help in a time of need, which should be a far cry from anything a compassionate human being can be bugged about. Be well.

Y'know, I still keep coming back to wanting to diversify Songan into something other than a straight bard, since we currently have two Bards in the party, even if one of them is an archetype. I keep looking at PrCs and trying to figure out what direction I want to move the character in in the future. I'm hoping to get some input from everyone else on a few different options that I'm considering:
Option 1: Pathfinder Delver - This option appeals to me because it allows me to diversify the character into a secondary, exploratory role. However, by going this route, I would lose both spellcasting and the Bardic Performance aspect of the character, which may or not be a bad thing. We do, after all, have a pretty significant bit of spellcasting ability within the party already, so a bit of diversification may not be a bad thing.
Option 2: Pathfinder Chronicler - This is an option I've considered before for increasing the utility of the character, and I'm kinda looking back at it now. Like the Delver, taking this option would require me giving up spellcasting, but rather than losing the Bardic Performance, I'd lose Bardic Knowledge, which may be less of a hit to the party, since we already have a lot of Knowledge skill between Catila and Lena.
Option 3: Dragon Disciple / Eldritch Knight - This option may honestly present the best scenario for the party at large, since losing Mevakh took away a lot of our front-line fighter potential. Either of those two classes would allow continued improvement of both spellcasting and combat ability and wouldn't require a great deal of work to push Songan into a more front-line combat direction, which could be something that is potentially sorely lacking from the party as a whole right now. There are a few other options for a more front-line role too, such as the Battle Herald, which would allow continued improvement of Inspire Courage as well as other options for improving the party dynamic, though again, I'd give up spellcasting to do it. I mean, there are quite a few options if I want to take Songan in a more combat-focused role and depending on the leniency of our illustrious leader, it could be done much sooner than later.
So...regardless, I wanted to get some input from my fellow players. With the current party loadout consisting of an Alchemist, two Bards, Rogue/Inquisitor, and a Wizard, I honestly think taking Songan into a more front-line role may be the best option for us overall. Either way, I think I've definitely come to the conclusion that continuing straight through Bard is not the direction I want to take Songan in.
What does everybody else think? DM OMB, I'd also like to know how much latitude I could have in re-tooling Songan, if any. I'd be perfectly willing to just decide on a direction now and head that way, but any skills jiggering or whatever that may make it easier to head in that new direction would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
KidDangerous |
I think you're right about needing more combat potential, but is the bard the best one to optimise? I was considering taking Paladin or Fighter for Lena to help with front line but I actually think continuing in Inquisitor (Bane, more Judgement) would be better.
But back to Songan, if you can make melee work then that would probably be the better choice, but I do LOVE the chronicler class and also wholeheartedly support that choice.
Phillip0614 |
My thinking precisely regarding Lena. I think it would be overall more beneficial to keep her going in Inquisitor. I honestly believe of our present group Songan is probably the best character to diversify just because so many of his skills have redundancies with other party members.
Depending on allowed rejiggering, I could prestige into Eldritch Knight, Dragon Disciple, or Battle Herald as soon as next level or just wait until the level after that. Either way, I'd still also like to know what everyone else thinks.
Phillip0614 |
I completely agree we need one or more heavy hitters. Eith DD or EK would be good, but for some reason a catfolk dragon disciple seems a little more interesting to me ; )
Heh. I can't deny that there is a certain appeal to a catfolk dragon disciple. Another advantage of going that direction is that it would be the easiest class to qualify for. No full-BAB unfortunately, but the extra ability point boosts would also sorta make up for that. I was wrong about EK; Songan would be at least level 8 before I could qualify that to be able to cast 3rd level arcane spells. Battle Herald could be entered at level 7 after taking a level of Cavalier. Dragon Disciple, though, could easily be entered at next level if OMB would be kind enough to let me re-tinker one skill point to learn Draconic from the level up to 5.
Gellius Krupt |
That's the reason I went with the feral mutagen. Between that and my sneak attack, so long as I can flank I can help dish out the pain. (Well, that, and it fit the storyline. Still waiting for Lena to ask him about it.)
Phillip0614 |
Yeah, Gellius seemed to be dishing out some serious pain in the last fight. I was impressed with it! That feral mutagen is pretty dadgum bad.
OMB, with your permission may I retrain some skill points to get the requisite language and ranks in Knowledge (Arcana) to be able to prestige into Dragon Disciple at level 6? It'll take more re-jiggering than I thought since I've gotta have a full five ranks in Know(Arcana), but it's still the easiest route for me to go.
Grar. Decisions decisions! Kinda makes me wish I'd gone Arcane Duelist or something, but of course at the time that wasn't the direction I wanted to move Songan in. Plans change!
Our Mysterious Benefactor |
No character plan survives contact with the plot. I have no problem with the skill point rejiggering.
Phillip0614 |
Many thanks, O illustrious leader! I appreciate it!
EDIT: Did we ever actually successfully identify or have anyone claim that obsidian club thing that we found at the same time as the headress and what-not?
Leralt, I'm currently evaluating options for any magical gear I'd like to have. What I'd LOVE is a Banner of the Ancient Kings, but we're still a few levels away from it being realistic for Songan to have that, so I'm looking for other toys presently.
