Vincent "Scab" |
i am a little lost on my place in the initiative, so when it is Scab's turn, he...
Called Face Shot: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
DMG: 5d8 ⇒ (6, 8, 5, 2, 7) = 28
and Scab once again misses...
The Nameless GM |
The Mirelurk continues to run over to the river, taking another dash and more fire damage as it plunges headfirst into the river, a plume of steam rising from where it landed.
Fire Damage: 39 - 1d6 ⇒ 39 - (4) = 35
The Mirelurk is no longer on fire. And pissed.
If it's not too much to ask, keep track of your enemy's health. That way someone doesn't waste a powerful move on an enemy with 2 hp.
Edward takes another opportunity to fire at the Mirelurk.
To Hit: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14
Damage: 2d6 ⇒ (4, 2) = 6
The spike strikes the Mirelurk again, the armor cracking again. The Mirelurk is even more pissed now.
Vincent "Scab" |
Scab will ready action to throw a bomb at it when it moves towards us.
Vincent "Scab" |
readied bomb throw: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15
dmg: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13 same burning effect as last time
Vincent "Scab" |
Hopefully the blast sends it running back to the water so I wanna hit it when it's like 15 ft from us
The Nameless GM |
I've decided that this was too much health. I'll change it for next time.
With Max and Marcel holding action until they see fit, Scab lets loose another charged plasma shot. The Mirelurk is quickly set ablaze again, that same screech from before coming again. Almost makes you pity the creature...
Then Crispy's bomb hits it dead in the chest and you realize it's pretty much dead.
The Mirelurk quickly runs to the water again to cool off, but not soon enough. 9 - 1d6 ⇒ 9 - (2) = 7
Edward raises his rifle one more time to shoot the Mirelurk.
To Hit: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
His new rifle makes a clicking sound, and the normal "toot toot!" that comes from firing is a slow "whoo whooooo"
Your misfire range is now a 3.
Mirelurk Health: 7
Marcel the Wise |
Marcel moves forward and stabs his knife into the Mirelurk's neck, ending its brief yet eventful death struggles.
Charge: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 4
"Well, one down. I think we might need to get a large price for this meat; I don't even want to think about how much ammunition we just spent."
Vincent "Scab" |
"When we get back to town I can take a look at that contraption of yours and see about fixing it."
Knight-Brother Edward Monroe |
"That would be appreciated. I plan on looking into the design myself. As far as ammunition, that is why I'm using this," Edward hoists the railway rifle, "Instead of more modern technology."
He motions to his laser rifle, assault rifle, and 10mm pistol in their various slings and holsters.
Vincent "Scab" |
"Can't we just drag it back with the meat inside? Doesn't a chef normally boil it mostly whole? I am pretty sure i remember lobster being done up that way."
The Nameless GM |
While Scab has a good idea, the only problem is that the shell has been cracked several times by your attempts to kill it, and dragging it on the ground wouldn't help with keeping the meat fresh.
Marcel literally butchers it, only managing to get strands of the meat. He gets less than half a pound, and what he did get isn't fit for consumption, even when cooked.
Lilith manages to get a good chunk of it, roughly 2 pounds of the stuff. Zatarian needs around 5 pounds of meat to make one pot of gumbo. He's willing to pay for every pound you bring, but you should return with at least 5 pounds.
There is evidence that this mirelurk wasn't alone. The power plant awaits, and inside without a doubt are more mirelurks.
The Nameless GM |
You are currently outside the Power Plant. A dead mirelurk lies at your feet, striped of its flesh. (you monsters)
The Power Plant awaits. The large double door that leads into the plant are closed but not locked.
To the south (you were facing east when entering) is a small river, still flowing even after the bombs fell. If you were to approach it your Pip-Boys' Geiger Counter would go off.
There is a storage shed to the north of your position, but even a through search wouldn't yield anything useful.
Let me know what you plan to do next and we'll continue from there.
The Nameless GM |
From what Max can tell, it isn't broken. At least, not yet. The fission battery that had acted as the firing pin was just a little out of place, and Max's mending wouldn't have be able to fix it that well. It'll function, but it's more likely to break now.
If you have another copy of the Railway Rifle you can fix it, but this is the only one in existence. You can also bring it to Adam to fix for free.
From inside the power plant the scuttling of large claws lets you know there are more in there.
Vincent "Scab" |
Scab places himself according to the strategy of the wise one, ready to blast a mirelurk coming outta there
The Nameless GM |
The two mirelurks look over at Edward, start chittering at each other, then wave their claws at each other before Mirelurk 2 starts charging after Edward, lowing his head to headbutt him. Everyone but Edward may make an Attack of Opportunity.
Headbutt: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12 It's shell impacts his armor to no avail.
A knowledge nature could tell you what they were doing before one of them charged.
Vincent "Scab" |
know nature: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
aoo: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 1 = 18
dmg if it hits: 1d4 + 4d12 ⇒ (3) + (12, 6, 7, 11) = 39
Vincent "Scab" |
that aoo is with my ballistic fist by the way since i figure we cant AOO with guns.
The Nameless GM |
The mirelurks were arguing with each other on who would go first, then played rock paper scissors.
You can take an AoO because you threaten with a firearm. I thought I made that clear, but I guess I didn't. Just to clear things up, you threaten with a firearm from 5ft away, but no further.
Scab's ballistic fist goes off on the hard shell, managing to crack it some. The mirelurk continues to headbutt Edward regardless.
Current HP: 30
Mirelurk 1 rushes into the fray as well, but waits behind his ally to get a better shot in at his attackers.
Vincent "Scab" |
BOOM! Chk-chk goes the ballistic fist with a double-barreled shotgun blast
"Heh, now that's what i am talkin about"
