Zokon, races to attack the second centipede. He rounds the thorns to close with his foe he opens himself up to the creatures bullwhip-like twin tails.

It has a lot of reach. I figured with your AC it would have been worth to risk not go crashing through the difficult undergrowth. Fighting at range in this place often comes with a -4 cover penalty and a possible 20% miss.

Paralitic-toxin Dexterity damage (round 1): 1d4 ⇒ 1

Zokon, on your turn you will have to roll the save again or take more Dex damage. The poison lasts for 6 total rounds or until Zokon makes a save.

Luna and Scarlet both fail to make contact with the centipede, but Scarlet's flaming blade finds its carapace in the hedge.

With the Creepycrawley collapsing, Alia turned her attention to the second one. Almost stumbling over a root on the way over, her movement is not as graceful as she had wanted, but her aim, once again, was decent.

The flames put out the centipede, though the shrubbery goes up causing a brush fire.

The fire consumes most of the foliage on the map before burning itself out.

Scarlet smiles as the fire burns up the foliage. The heat is nice, for one thing. Reminds her of the natural springs she visited. Her boss had to pull her out of the spring once, which was quite a feat since the boss wasn't strong.

Celyne's water show brough her back to reality, though. The boring reality. But her Alia did ask about vermin.

The party finds a place to make camp does so and takes a breather for the rest of the day. The time here can be used for whatever you like.

That night they set their usual watches and Posh spends his usual coin to bed down in Naleksa's tent, and after a few awkward moments of louder than usual talk about the campfire and wandering the vicinity for more firewood and such, the camp quiets down and the first watch officially begins.

During the first watch (Celyne, Luna, Numalar, Didymus) Mikmek sets his back against some rocks in one corner of the camp and nervously stares at the party, glancing over to wherever they have stored the statue of Old Sharptooth every now and then.

BTW GGGM: It seems like Mikmek is sometimes saying that the statue itself is the god. Can I try to figure out if 'Old Sharptooth' actually represents a specific known god? Dahak possibly? Or are they actually worshiping the statue itself?

"Numalar the reviled one.. " says Zokon as he Snorts awake and drops his book of kobold lore.

He crawls out of his bedding and tent.

He gets up and jumps up and down a few times stretching to get the kinks out.

He checks his weapons and gear to make sure nothing is missing or broken.

Mikmek hesitantly allows Celyne to treat him possibly remembering his, and his fellows' torturous prodding with sharp sticks, and knives at the hands of the mites. He still looks fatigued as if he didn't sleep.

The party finishes surveying the area, but have some light left to them.

Currently nearly everyone is either riding something with a base speed of 40'+ or is Scarlet. The character slowing the party down is Mikmek who has a base speed of 30'. Depending upon how you deal with that you might have as much as half a day left to you to travel or explore. I assume you are still following the purple pathway.

In Draconic, Celyne asks: "Mikmek, would you care to ride? You look tired, and walking will fatigue you more... YOu could ride with me, or ride the pack mule, or perhaps Luna would carry you, but I'd understand if you don't want to ride a tiger... I will leave the choice to you."

"We can also strap him to a pack animal once he passes out from fatigue. His choice.", Alia coldly comments. She had not been part of the original dealings with these...creatures. And so far, her experiences with Kobolds had been less than pleasant. All those she had met in these lands attempted to kill her or her friends - Zokon had tried to explain the clan system and the differences, but to her, it just proved the whole species was unreliable, disorganized, and dangerous.
It was one thing to not let the Mites torture him to death, but letting him tag along? Or bringing the ugly idol back to his clan? Rather than liberating the moon radishes the old fashioned way?
Snapping back to riding, Alia found herself caressing her Estoc absent-mindedly.

For Scarlet, it's another day of walking the earth. She loves it. "Mikmek needs to sleep at some point. I tried staying up for a week once- made it three days before I fell asleep for the next two, ha!"
