All right - now that the stupid week is done I should be a little more active.

I would be up for another game, but I must confess that I am not familiar with Eberron. I am a fan of technomagic, but I started playing with Pathfinder, so I never played any of the 3.5 settings.

So, I have a proposition for you guys. I'm currently DMing an Eberron AP based on Pathfinder rules. It's going spectacularly crappy as people keep leaving, or taking forever to post. I'm thinking about doing a reboot of it and would want to pull in 3-4 new players. The people who play Ravel and Ingrid already play in this campaign. The rest of you have shown yourselves to be quality players so I wanted to see if any of you would be interested.

Sorry for the absence. Life and then my internet failed just before I was gonna hop on and catch up yesterday. That said, I am not really interested in another game at the moment. I'm running two, in four online and two in real life. But if you all need someone to step up, I can try. I'll have to review Eberron again, having only very limited exposure to it, but I could whip up a Witch idea I have for it.

I'll put you on hold for it then, Orin. I'm not sure if we'll need another character yet or not, if we do I'll see if you're still willing. Thanks!

Looked over it briefly before I had to take my kid to the ER (she pulled her dresser down on herself, she's OK). I'm too exhausted to look at it further tonight, so I'll take a look again tomorrow.

Every one of my neices and nephews did something similar. Causes the parents to panic, and they wonder why dads lose their hair by 30 :)

The parents kid proof the houses, and they take it as a challenge to do something completely unexpected.

Like climb over a kid gate, climb up the stairs, and then fall back down into the kid gate.

We have spent nearly every Christmas eve or at least one day in December at the ER, I'm glad little feet are OK!

Mine have helped me lose about god knows how much hair and turned the rest salt and pepper.

Aye, we go to the ER far more than I'd like that's for sure.

I will be running my table top game tomorrow, so I may not be able to post much until Monday.

I have always allowed my players to take 20 on Spellcraft to simplify identifying items for so long, it became "the rule" in my head.

Hey, there is so many things that people miss, reminders work. :)

If allowed to take 20, it would make the Identify spell useless, as that just adds 10 to your spellcraft roll. :)

Yeah, it's a rule that's high on my mind since I play the Spellcraft guy in a Rappan Athuk game where cursed items are a certainty. I've gotten plenty of use out of identify and a high spellcraft score.

I, as the DM, made a choice to allow the take 20 on identification of magical items. Especially in this particular book of the AP, and especially with this particular set of items. It makes my life easier and it keeps the game flowing. If it were just a bunch of freebie items thrown in for the purposes of selling or buffing I might make you take more time with it, but these are items that are intended to be used and to be used in a plot with a ticking timer.

Fair enough. (I'm not going to complain when the DM bends rules to make the story better. I just point out rules in case people didn't know/forgot. If you purposely ignore them, all the power to you.)
