Úlf would also being in Jade Regent game!
*High-fives*
Man I would love to play Jade Regent. Played in one session of it once before that GM decided to quit and I've been itching to play it. With the Vigilante (Magical Child) class/archetype, it jsut seems so much more fun now!

Yeah, my very first PBP was Jade Regent, but the GM for that game got real-life busy and had to close the game on us. I've been chomping at the bit ever since for a chance to get farther than the end of book one.

Our group used the caravan rules for two small encounters, decided that they weren't a good fit for us, and I wrote some special material on the trip (currently playing out in Wolf's Ear). I just didn't want it to be "welp, you finished the cave near Sandpoint, I guess I'll jump you straight to level 3 and go to Brinewall." :)

Also, a note for the many new players dropping by!
Sometimes games die. This is pretty common for DMs who get enthusiastic about running a game, then realize how much work it is to actually upload maps and track fights in a PBP format, and they just disappear on the wind.
Don't be discouraged. It happens, and it just means you need to look for another game.
If you hang around a while you'll see that some DMs are very active and have successfully run many games. Keep an eye out because some of them like running so much that they'll run 5-6 games at once and when they have an opening, you can pounce on someone who's experienced and reliable!
Another way to get into games that are reliable is to flip through the Recruitment forum every once in a while looking for existing games that need new players. I myself recently had to replace 2 players in my Jade Regent game. Looking for players like this often means that the GM is very reliable and committed to the game, and if you can get it you know you are in a group that has a good chance of continuing!

All the players want to play in it, but all the GMs also want to play in it, so no one is left to GM it.

Too much work on characters that may or may not get picked for nothing in the end.

Just added two characters to the applicant list.
My Ancestor possessed Pirate Medium and my Tian-Hwang bright eyed wanderer with a heavy heart.

Kayin Ashok and Pazeek Splitbeak are available for a Jade Regent campaign or a custom campaign set in Tian lands that uses the Tian end of the Path of Aganhei as a starting point, and Pazeek is also available for a Reign of Winter campaign after some moderate alterations to his backstory.

Hey there. I love making characters and have many that can't possibly all played in pfs...
I have a switch-hitting ranger L1 Elsbeth Gladomain, daughter of human ranger Belaros Gladomain, who had died saving a fellow Pathfinder from an ooze (he got better though they don't know it). Twin-sister of Cathran Gladomain a gunslinger.
Clint Barton (yep, name registered) Unplayed human fighter/archer.
Half-Orc Universalist wizard - Quistina Shipsail
I can go into more backstory for these or other characters if accepted. I'll play any AP as I haven't played any.

I like the idea of making things I have never played before to usually give them a try. The biggest thing I have been doing lately is using archetypes if I am replaying a class or if a particular archetype just sounds really cool. I tend to mostly do spellcasters because there are so many of them, but I have also tried varying things up a bit depending on the scenario. I just tend to want to make a role filler so to speak.

Samsaran Seer Oracle Mystery of Time Curse of Tongues.
I can create this character at any level, but I prefer to have them at higher levels. Massive knowledge bonuses and intense non-combat abilities.
Human Brawler Grapple Specialist. I can build them for any level at all. I prefer the lower levels with this one...they are a simple striker tank. Massive bonuses to improvised weapons and grappling.

Looking for low level/starter campaigns that are looking for a caster. If a specific type of caster is requested let me know, I can pretty much make any caster class and look forward to sheeting out a few in the next couple of weeks. The only exception I would put is probably no clerics or alchemists. I love both the classes but I tend to play them both a lot and want to try and branch out from those two particular classes.
Nazzoria |
Haven't played Pathfinder in a while but I believe I am available to start some PbP. I would prefer to play Rise of the Runelords, but Jade Regent and Giantslayer would be alright to play in as well (if so, I will just need to edit the traits)
Nazzoria is an enchanter who will mainly be debuff supporter with a few damaging spells. Also, she has the maw or claw (maw) and the prehensile tail alternate racial traits.

Valenar is an elf from a long line of assassins loyal to the royalty of Kyonin. Valenar had his own ideas however when it came to his missions and eventually it cost him the life of his beloved mate. Seeking to atone for his sins, he left the shelter of the forest kingdom in disgrace and has been using his skills to earn money to eventually repay his debt he feels he owes to her family and to make his own way in the world rather than rely on that of the royal line.
On mission, Valenar is quiet and taciturn. He only speaks when spoken to and it is kept curt. During downtime, he is a whole different person, enjoying the company of his companions and sharing stories with them and others who would listen.
Valanar stark look makes sure that those who know he is after them live in fear. His array of weaponry alone gets him the stern eye from most town guards. His chain shirt is barely concealed under his traveling cloak, but he leaves just enough of it revealed to deter would be assailants.
Valenar is in Sandpoint to collect on a debt owed him from Daviren Hosk and then to find his next target. Little does he know what he is getting himself into...

I am new to pathfinder play and interested in joining a group. Is there anyone out there that doesn't mind dragging me along? (or pointing me in the right direction lol) Also if I make a character I'm assuming I make it from my Pathfinder Society in My Account. Do I make it from Society Roleplaying or Core Roleplaying and what is the difference? Can I just pick a random faction or do I need to be recruited? Thanks to anyone that can answer my questions.

1. I have an opening in one of my Hell's Rebels groups. We move kinda slow, mostly because I'm super busy with RL and can't get on my computer as much as I'd like, but you're welcome to PM me with a character concept, or even a fully built character.
2. You don't need to make a character from your Pathfinder Society area. Just use a Messageboard Alias - it's basically the same form, but is not attached to your PFS number and can therefore be used for non-PF games as well. I'm in a couple D&D 5e games, and I've seen things like Shadowrun (definitely not a d20-based game) advertised on the Recruitment board.

Experienced player able to build any character looking for a play-by-post for any AP except Serpent's Skull, Iron Gods, or the latest two Hell's APs. Prefer to get in at the beginning or lower levels (or book 1) of whatever AP offered. First time at pbp, but I don't have time for RL sessions anymore.
