Just so everyone knows, I do alot of my RP posting at work, but the combats, and specifically, the maps, I have on my home PC. I am also on EST, if it matters, so you can get timing.
OK - good to know. Also on EST.

As I said to Tomaru, this book in particular fits right in with Praxim and Thordak's specialties. I am hoping to make it at least interesting for all of you - pretty sure 5 degenerate hillbilly ogres charging into your face fit the bill initially.

I've got no problem with fights that we win by curbstomp. ^^ Beats the alternative...

@DM: Any future rolls for aiding in something that would fit Thordak, you're more than welcome to roll for him. (Unless it's successful without him, then it's simply unnecessary). :)
And this week has been a busy week for me, so my posting has come way later than normal. I think after tomorrow I'll be able to finally breathe a little easier.
It's been a long week.

Still, credit where it's due; in Ogre clans, the leader is apparently always a Pappy, the strongest and more fertile male. Mother Graul managed to buck the system.

Hey, Rhianni! ^^ Fun to see you using Latin for the spell-incantations, too. What were you trying to say, though?

Something along the lines .. Come stars and bring your light on my enemies ... perhaps next time I'll save it ... All courtesy of google translate.

I figured. ^^
"Venite, stellae, et luminem vestrum in inimicis meis abicete!"
I think that might be a bit closer. ;)

You may have noticed that I take certain liberties with the rules to enhance the story. A good example is the two-headed ogrekin arguing with himself under Tomaru's Hold Person spell. Speech is not allowed under the spell description, but the opportunity was too good to miss.
This example was one where no harm was done to the PCs, but there have been times when those 'liberties' have caused damage. Again, I do this for the story, and hopefully it creates a more enjoyable experience for all of you.

I regret to report that my home connection is once again giving me the finger... My posting will likely be patchy at best for a while. >_<; Please DMPC me if necessary.

Okay, I gotta say, this place is straight out of Jason/Freddie/Saw/Chainsaw Massacre all combined. This is just way horrific. I mean, straight up sick. Absolutely disgusting to the absolute extreme.
You paint a heck of a picture, Old Guy. Props for that.
I think I'll stop reading Old Guy's posts until we get past this. I keep having to close my eyes during the scary parts anyway. ;)

I hate to say this, but I didn't make this up. Aside from the Mammy dialogue, this is 90% straight out of the book. I took out the side door, altered the actions a bit, and the young 'uns aren't that young in the book.
I've always thought Paizo's ogre's were disturbing, this scene confirms it. My RL group hated this too, 'the House of Skank' they called it. Still hate it to this day. I think I've mentioned it here before, but some of them are following this game. They started when I told them you all were about to hit this house.
On the one hand, I'm glad I can convey the horrific nature of the ogrekin, but my apologies if this disturbs anyone. I'm really not that grim as a GM. But the horror of it drives the story, so I stuck with what was written for the most part.

I remember that the author is Nick Logue, who has a penchant for making downright creepy stuff RPG stuff (see the Razor Coast setting, for example). I think I read somewhere (maybe on these boards) that among his inspirations was the "Hills Have Eyes" and the X-Files episode about the in-bred family (which I have seen and this definitely falls into that category - these events is bringing back all those scenes).

Besides, you're going down into the basement, how bad could it be?
LOL - this is reminding me of that new Geico commercial where the people are like:
"Should we take the running car to get away?"
"No! Are you crazy? Let's hide behind the wall of chainsaws instead."

So, how do they think we're doing? ^^ Tell them I said 'hi' and 'thanks for the interest'.

Dear gods, the DM has gone mega-evil. He has jinxed us all! >_<;

I just want to say I didn't make my fort save, let alone Rhianni!!! for this last room.
It is one of the most revolting bits of Pathfinder I've been in....
I'm loving it, think you are doing a great job taking us through this, very scary and nasty, particularly the fire and big uglies, definitely memorable.

LOL! Oh man this commercial is great! Those GEICO commercials are so dang funny.
The killer dude is behind them all rolling his eyes at how stupid they are.
The ending is good too:
As they take off running, one girl yells: "Let's head for the cemetery!"
That commercial cracks me up just thinking about it. :)

Thanks for the compliment, and I totally agree with you about this house. I've run or played in almost all of the APs out there, but this one scene is easily the most disturbing thing I've seen. I'm sure Mr. Logue would take that as a compliment, and he should.

My using a sword instead of a spell may seem odd, but I wanted to set up the flank for the rest of you. ^^

On a somewhat tangent note, been playing Fallout 3 this weekend and have gotten to the Point Lookout zone. If you know anything about the game, this is the area that is loaded with mutant hillbillies - who often chase after you and are horribly disfigured. I couldn't help but think I was blasting some Grauls as I kept running into patrols or scouring some abandoned cabins during my quests.

I wouldn't mind either the potion or amulet (not sure it stacks with the Ring of Protection, though). That being said, the magic-casters can probably use the amulet more.
Not sure about the gloves - interesting.
I assume that the rest will be a division of spoils on coinage once we get back to town/city.
