A reminder to party, please note the items attached to your profiles for future reference. A couple of items are noted as open; if no one claims I will assume they are stashed in Kellen's bag for now.

You have the nod from me once you guys decide. I will do this (sorry Alex), due to your contributions to the protect the holdings of Magnimar, you are given preferential sale prices when you sell the stuff in the city.

Read: 60% of value rather than 50%.

Also make sure your profiles are updated with correct levels, hp, etc. The part I can see next to your avatars.

Lym (for example) shows Wizard 5/ Cyphermage 5.

Praxim doesn't need the +1 arrows, since arrows automatically become +1 when fired from his magic bow.

Arrows! We don't need no stinkin' arrows. :-)

OK - will hold onto them unless you guys prefer it go into the bankroll of coinage.

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

Heck no! Don't sell the arrows. Keep 'em. Use 'em. It's like I always say: If we can use 'em, we use 'em. ;)

And cool on the 60%! That's cool.

And one o' yous bums ought to claim the boots. Capiche? ;)

Hi all, OGGM has kindly invited me to join the campaign so just swinging by to say hello :)

Working on the crunch of my caster now, though full transparency, this is the highest level game I've played so any advice would be gratefully received!

Looking forward to playing with you all :)

Hello! And welcome.

Welcome! Look forward to seeing it.

Heya, Fiendish Zen. Welcome aboard. ^_^

By the by, the thing about Thordak and the Shadow Dwarfess is only meant to be a joke, a noodle incident if you will. ;)

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

@Fiendish: I'm loving the non-existent profile. That's just some awesome intrigue. I wished I would've thought of that in a couple of games I've joined in the past. That just looks like some good ol' fun right there.

Thanks all for the welcome :)

@Javell: Can't reveal my possession of sin rune tattoos to you too early ;)

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

Cool. Sin rune tattoos. Man the curiosity continues to rise. :P

So give me the plan: what you are buying (assume you can get it unless you are going all crazy on me), how you are getting there, etc. Once I have that, we'll move straight to Sandpoint. I believe Zen will need some suggestions for what an 11th level sorceress should have.

Hey! How about this: Headband of Havoc Is this allowed? Wait, is there a gold limit in this town? You may have mentioned it and I just flat missed it.

Thordak actually has 8,889g total.

As far as Spells? Haste. Definitely Haste.

And Glitterdust was a LIFE saver for sure. That's a pretty dang handy one.

Headband? Sure. There is a limit, but 8k isn't it. Not even close.

Spellwise, some thoughts:

-Invisibility/See Invisibility: Always handy to have access to.
-Circle vs. Evil: Keep the possession/will attacks down hopefully.
-Globe of Invulnerability: May prove useful if we run into spellcasters like Lucrecia was.
-Transmute Rock to Mud: May be useful if we are going to have giants charging us as a slowdown.
-Bull's Strength/Eagle's Splendor: Handy for a sorc class. The first could be handy if I am reading the implied bloodline correctly for the claw ability. Possible just get scrolls of them instead.
-False Life - I think the Sihedron medallion may also have this effect
-Resist Energy - If there's a dragon involved, that could be helpful.

Itemwise:
-Cloak of Resistance, Bracers of Armor, Ring of Protection, Amulet of Natural Armor: Basically anything to make you less squishy.

-Headband of Alluring Charisma: Something else for useful for sorcs.

These are just my suggestions, and I am hardly the best at this kind of stuff. Hope it helps.

Summoning spells and shadow conjuration are good for sorcerers.

Silent image.

A blasting staff (as long as you know one of the spells so you can recharge it).

Thanks for the suggestions, it's tricky sorting out those spells that would suit a scroll versus those that can/should be cast every day... pesky known spells limit!

Appreciate your suggestions folks :)

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

Okay, I think I'm gonna get this instead: Headband of Unshakeable resolve.

Because I just flat out HATE fear effects. Plus, as I've already mentioned, you can never go wrong by adding to a Will save. :)

Male Workaholic, level 10

FYI - If anyone finds they need some extra coin for some special item, Kellen can probably spare around 600-700 gp after his shopping trip.

Grand Lodge

Ok. I'm finally done shopping. We ready to go yet?

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

I think we've already left.

I leave tomorrow for Origins in Columbus OH. Big game convention here in the States. I will be gone - immersed in game goodness for four days. Tomorrow will be my last post until Sunday night.

Out of curiosity, anyone going?

Not I, I'm afraid. Wrong continent. ;)

Have fun!

Questions for the group!

I now have Sending and Shadow Walk handy.

* Do we want to use Shadow Walk to shorten our travel time to Sandpoint? (OGGM, please feel free to veto if there is a plot-critical encounter along the way for us. ;) )
* I would like to use Sending to send a warning to Father Zantus at Sandpoint. It's 25 words or less, so...

We are returning. Danger! Army headed for Sandpoint. Giants. Dragon. Evil magic. Warn mayor, sheriff. Shalelu also returning. Reply. Twenty-five words or less.

How's that?

To part 1, sounds like GM has already set us up, so save that.

To part 2, sounds great!

Alas, no. Along with Gen-con, it's one I love to go to - but not this year. It's even more gamer-geek than Gen-con is; and that's a compliment.

Anyhow, have fun!

Grand Lodge

I had planned to, but real life is making that look less and less likely.

The message looks good, though.

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

Nope. Mainly due to the distance of travel. It's just way too far for me.

Another hand up for wrong continent. In fact, wrong continent twice as I used to live in the UK and now live in NZ! Enjoy the con :)

RE: Sending, good idea to let Sandpoint know we're on the way, especially as they can reply and let us know if anything is amiss or they're expecting trouble!

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

New Zealand! Yeah I'd say that's a bit too far. :P

@Aebliss: What country do you reside?

I'm actually on the right continent I'm just too many states away.

Hi Guys, just passing through after ....

here are some spell thoughts ...

Had I been around a bit more, arcane eye is good, would have used it to see what you were getting yourselves into with Lucrecia and the other big bad ... beast shape is good, so you can fly, swim etc... rod of extend spell can be nice ...

Mad Monkeys might be worth a look, never got the chance to use it that much ... but it sounds fun ..

Dimension door to give the party a quick escape if needs be ... or surprise ..

Enlarge Person is good to let Thordak feel his power...

Stinking Cloud always a nice option ...

... just some more thoughts...

will start stalking this group now ... follow what goes on ...

Its always been fun here...

Got a lot better now.

The tablets helped (not that I'm taking them anymore) ... head in a better place, got a better job and one I like doing. The pressures have lifted, but I don't want to get back on the boards just yet. Few more things to sort out, but hoping that the way is up and the grey clouds are breaking up and letting the sun in again.

Glad you are all doing well in the game.
Like your new sorcerer ... if only I knew her stats .. ;-)

I shall be cheering you on as you battle the whatever comes next ...

And Old Guy GM does really neat and atmospheric descriptions of stuff ... its cool!!
