"If you say so, boss"

Raman puts his picks and tools to work on the door.

Disable Device: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18

Raman picks the lock within a few seconds. Nothing complicated. As you open the door, however, a stack of papers falls to your feet, with the rest blocking a better part of the entrance. Further inspection shows that these are various newspapers and a few research journals dated at least a year back. A large sofa sits awkwardly near the entrance, facing toward the center of the room. Sets of chairs and tables are arranged throughout, and statues of grandiose gnomes occupy the corners of the room.

Perception or Survival 14:
Despite the lack of dust in this room, it is clear that nobody was in for several years. The sofa and carpet don't show any signg of wear at all, with the pile of newspapers in front of the door only support this theory.

Perception 15:
Examining the room, your sight falls on the couch. More specifically, underneath it. A set of intricate drawings in a chalk circle decorate an otherwise plain-colour beige carpet. On to of everything, this decoration is covered by the couch for some reason. While the owner is an excentric gnome, this seems fairly odd even for them, and you examine it further, noticing arcane symbols inside the circle. The pattern is of magical nature - a summoning circle.

Helme:
Soon after seeing the gnome, you notice the figure is moving with a pattern, repeating the same movements over and over. Moreso, you notice that some parts of the gnome are see-through when they move. Clearly, this is not real. With that realisation settling in, the gnome disappears from your sight.

That trap should really trigger at this point, but I'll give you a chance. And since it was pointed out...

Raman spots the summoning circle beneath the couch. It's a chalk outline with several inner circles and arcane symbols.

The room is otherwise clean, with a statue of a gnome in every corner, in various poses. A large double door is leading to the northern area of the house and two separate single doors on the south side. One of them opened by Eadric.

He'll start searching around the house, looking for the study :)

Eadric:
And just like that, the gnome disappears in a puff of smoke.

The room in southwest seems like a study. A large table with a few chairs, and the wall-to-wall shelves filled with books on various topics by a multitude of authors.

To the north a master bedroom - very simple layout, with only a few shelves, a double bed, and a large table with a chair. Nothing extraordinary happening here. Unless Raman looks, in which case he sees 3 instances of Fimbrik at once, if he stands in the bedroom door. One sleeping on the bed, one sitting in the main hall reading a paper, and one in the study scribbling notes.

Underneath the eastern wall, a stack of newspapers portruding from a set of stairs leading to the lower levels of the house. The same papers block access to this area, however. Unless you REALLY want to get in there and burn it all or something similarly crazy (although probably fun, if you don't get caught).

The southeastern room contains enough chairs, pillows, and desks to accommodate at least six visitors. An examination of the table in the southwest corner reveals a neatly penned letter:

Clik this sucker to find out what was in it

Underneath said letter, you find a much smaller note with two words: 'Doulgonlir Caskmail'

Sitting on the windowsill, underneath the neatly cleaned glass, you find two vials of dubious content. But - who knows? Maybe they will be useful at some point.

The party moves through the city back to the Grand Lodge in the Foreigh Quarter. As you move, you notice people meandering towards the Ascendant Court, speaking of the Cathedral and the Mendevian man that is about to give this Ascendancy thing a go. Merchants on the way, naturally, take advantage this opportunity to sell more fo their wares, and street performers are plentiful - singing, juggling, playing an instrument, you name it. Groups of children chasing immense water bubbles created by some of the performers and laughing when the bubbles pop. The atmosphere is quite jolly.

The Wall of Names, however, is a different matter. Once you arrive to the Lodge you head for the western edge, towards a curving wall of black glass that stands atop a small hill. Trees surround the hill, providing ample shade and privacy for those visiting the wall to remember fallen comrades. The sheer size of this monument is a testament to several hundred dead souls who perished in performing their duty for the Society, and most entries also include a sentence or two summarizing either the agent’s greatest accomplishments or how she died.

"The names were a clue, Ssresrandu. Fimbrik did mention that we would need to know where to look." Raman pinches the bridge of his nose and grumbles, "Gnomes"

Cypher:
You head into the Grand Lodge interior to look for help with the silver piece, and by pure coincidence, meet Janira in the door. After a brief chat, the now tipsy halfling takes a look at the coin for a moment, and hands it back to you.

"Yea-HIC... Apologies.", she covers her mouth with a hint of a blush in the cheeks, but continues: "The coin contains a hidden message. Put it on top of a wayfinder and it will talk. Sort of. But only once, so make sure you note that message down. It won't be too long, but just in case.", she winks at Cypher playfully. "Now if you'd excuse me... A nap is in order."

GM:
Cypher kisses Janira on the top of her head. Sleep tight sweety, I'll see you soon. they then head out to the team, picking up their wayfinder on the way.

Cypher comes out to join the group in front of the wall, holding up the coin and their brand new shiny wayfinder.

Okay guys, I found Janira. She said that you gotta put the coin on a wayfinder, and then it'll play a message... I plan on writing it down, but I wanted to do it here where everyone could listen.

Glancing at the area and making sure their alone, they pull out a bit of paper and a pen and ink to do exactly that.
