Knut das Auge |
Well met.
My I introduce myself Knut Knagsson, called das Auge.
With the spirit of Lore as my companion, rest assured that I can,... and will be there to answer your questions.
Nobb Griff Grimfang |
An amalgamation of machine and orc stands before you. Various wires and implants cord throughout his very real musculature. With a snort and violent shake of his broad shoulders the fearsome looking creature grunts an introduction and slaps his chest with closed fist.
"Nobb Griff Grimfang is here. Did someone mention da' moon?!"
I'll finish my final edit tomorrow and plug my stats in. Looking forward to gaming with you all! ;)
Sandin Graysmire |
@Nixie, I am back stateside and have access to google docs now :)
@Everyone else, Looking forward to gaming with you. Are there any buffs in particular you would like to see from a wizard?
Sandin Graysmire stands a bit tall for a humanoid, and there is something a little off about him. With your level of experience you would surely recognize him as a Dhamphir. A small genie accompanies him; wisps of smoke follow the genie wherever he floats.
I believe someone did, I have never been there myself, do any of you have any firsthand experience?
Vidar Hemming |
@Nixie: Edited my stat block
A tall man with long dark hair, standing 6'0 in good shape with a bandolier with alchemical cartridges. The tall man has feline yellow eyes with a large amount of body hair to say the least.
Haven't been there before, but this ain't going to stop me from Hunting there. Name's Vidar Hemming.

@Nixie Edited my stat block
I agree that no melee might be an issue but I think it is mitigated by two factors. It looks like Knut is going to be having some pretty decent summons. I can also call in a melee type outsider and borrow its body with magic jar if we think we need it. A Marilith might not be a poor choice, but I can look at others, perhaps a Kolyarut?
Good to meet you Vidar, my name is Sandin. the Dhamphir says as he extends his hand.
Vidar Hemming |
While I don't focus on melee, I can summon nature allies for extra muscles and they all get the teamwork feat outflank + I have the same wild shape as a druid (with a limitation of only Diminutive to huge animals like beast shape III) and can change my animal focus on the fly to get +4 enhancement bonus on strength on top of whatever strength size bonuses for huge animals (+6) for a total of +10 to my strength score+ Instant Enemy (change my favored enemy: +8 attack roll ,+8 damage) .
-----------------
Vidar with a grin, extends his hand to Sandin and shakes it.
"Nice to meet you Sandin! So what are drinking?"
Nixie |
You guys did a great job getting your characters together. Looking at the sheets, it looks like it was a lot of work! I think everyone has checked in. I'll get first gameplay post up tonight.
Gabrielle d'Apcher |
Nixie: I've added a sweet bit of character background in the profile for you.
Sandin: Lady Gabrielle gets a lot of mileage out of greater magic weapon in particular, as well as stoneskin, greater heroism, and mind blank.
Seated in the tavern is a well-dressed Taldan lady with fiery red hair and greenish-blue eyes which lie behind a pair of curved-rectangular eyeglasses. After drying the bottom of her dress from exposure to the pouring rain outside, she takes a seat in the tavern and begins to cool herself with her ladies' fan.
"Bring me something warm and gentle," she asks the serving girl. "As well as a smooth beverage."
Sandin Graysmire |
I am having a fine glass of deep brut, their vintage is exceptional.
I added those spells for you Lady Gabrielle.
Valena Rentir |
Valena sat back in her chair at the table, silently flipping harrow cards as the conversation had gone on.
The Trumpet came first, followed by The Theater. Then The Keep, The Vision and The Owl. Next was The Rabbit Prince. Lastly she flipped The Publican. She arched an eyebrow, casting her gaze around the room.
She muttered aloud, "But what is to become of us?" She drew once more and came away with two cards. She hadn't meant to pull two but she was used to the strange coincidences the Harrow used to convey it's messages. The two cards were The Dance and The Forge. She gave a satisfied sigh and replaced the cards into her deck and with a snap of her fingers, it was gone, tucked safely away.
She sat up and looked around at her newfound fellows. "Well, I suppose we'll have to get to know each other eventually." She turned to the well dressed woman and stuck out her hand rather forcefully. "Valena Rentir, pleased to meet you."

Sandin Graysmire |
empowered false life on Simwyn: 1d10 + 10 ⇒ (9) + 10 = 19 empowered for a total of 28
I might as well put up overland flight on me as well.
Sandin Graysmire |
I think I have finalized my character sheet unless anyone has any last minute spell requests.
Nixie |
Checks: if you want to do something or try knowledge, just make the checks you feel are appropriate in gameplay. Like Sandin has been doing. If I need a different check I'll ask for it;)
Knut das Auge |
True Spirit Ability
A shaman who chooses the lore spirit as her spirit or wandering spirit gains the following ability upon having access to the true version of that spirit.
Perfect Knowledge (Ex): The shaman gains the benefit of the tongues spell permanently. She also gains a +10 competence bonus on all Knowledge, Linguistics, and Spellcraft checks.
To identify enemys I get another 16
Mattastrophic |
Yeah, I'm always impressed by characters' capabilities, even after a decade of playing in 3.x. I have a lot of "holy cow!" moments in this game.
I'm not used to custom items, though. There's a lot of space for design here. Anyone feel like helping me out with pricing a circlet of persuasion in which the Competence bonus to Cha-based checks gets bumped up to +5?
-Matt
Nixie |
When we get to combat in a bit, do you guys wish to stick to init order? Or do the average thing and go All one side, then all the other. One way we sacrifice speed of play for clarity, the other we sacrifice clarity for speed of play...
Nobb Griff Grimfang |
Matt's sorted block order works well for PBP.s Griff is onboard, hada crazy weekend. Das Cyborc shall be ever pressent.
Nobb Griff Grimfang |
Done and done Miss! :) My saves vary greatly while I rage and against enchantments/Magic but that shouldn't be hard for me to keep an eye on. Also, my HP won't change when I rage due to my archtype s at least that's a static number! ^_~
Also, squeeze away! Haha
Sandin Graysmire |
I vote for Matt's proposal. Essentially we delay amongst ourselves, but the rest is kept in order.
On an aside, I am looking forward to seeing the interaction between the Paladin and the scourge of war. Sandin of course could not care less as long as it helps to get the job done.
Nobb Griff Grimfang |
I missed all the fun today too. Looks good now though! :)
Nixie |
5 new posts! It's killing me not to click on them:) Finally getting off work, but now I have to go take care of the kids. But I am crazy looking forward to reading your posts and RPing about 9pm pacific when those buggers finally go down in their cribs. My succubi are going to kick your fannies all the way to the moon.
Nobb Griff Grimfang |
I hope everyone enjoyed my barbaric attempt to be diplomatic!
In a weird sort of way I envision Griff having learned how to handle tense situations with a bit less bloodshed over the years. A murderous conqueror who learned later in life that sometimes trying to move people with his words/reputation instead of violence can be beneficial.
He still sort'a really likes violence. Such internal strife! :P
Nobb Griff Grimfang |
Bet you all thought it'd be me. Fess up! ;)
Meant playfully of course. I'd have expected me too. No harm either way. We can just have our good master Necomancer convey our sympathies over this obvious misunderstanding :P
and HEY! Cool, someone else brought, nevermind!!
