Dagmar will stay behind the frontline fighters with her crossbow at the ready. Though her first action will be to cast her slumber hex on the first one to come within her range. Disgusting little creatures. I wonder what has them worked up in such a frenzy? I hope that the person we came here to find is still alive.
** spoiler omitted **
Dagmar just looks one of the screaming goblins with contempt in her eyes, and the little creature falls in mid-step, snoring loudly... and farting.
Caelin trust his defensive capabilities to be in the front and thickest of things as I take the center of the group shoulder-to-shoulder with the others as to make the best of my defensive capabilities.
Will try to get the best out of my combat reflexes to hit as many as I can and power attack just in case. Will roll my Attacks of Opportunity already just in case. I will use Power attack.
With mighty strokes, Caelin cleaves two goblins almost in half, but the rest of the creatures ignore him and continue their headlong dash to attack the monk.
Six of the creatures surround Shou, stabbing at him with their dirty blades, while the remaining goblins are jumping and pushing behind them, unsuccessfully trying to reach the monk.
Svalk lunges with his spear at one of the goblins attacking Shou, feeling the blessing of his ancestors guiding his strike, and Velkirth's words encouraging mighty blows:
attack:
1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 3 + 1 = 10 damage:
1d8 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 4 + 1 = 9
He adjusts his position to be able to attack any goblins that cross his reach trying to get to the back ranks of the group:
Four more goblins fall under your attack. The remaining ones turn from the monk and start to run away. At the same time, at the edge of woods several more goblins appear, dressed in what seems to be freshly skinned human skins, still bloody and raw. Three goblins raise their hand and begin to chant...
"We're marching on the fields
Hear the sound of axes fulfill the day
Fighting for the land
Feel the winds of death on your skin
This bloody battle will stain the day
We have no fear - the battle spirit's in us
We are the Linnorm
The drums and humming horns are screaming
Dancing over thee blood
Hear their screams, as they die
Fighting for the land
We have no fear the battle spirit's in us"
And I just keep repeating it until I fall or all my enemies have fallen.
There are three goblins in human skins and about twenty bodyguards around them. More are coming from the woods. You will have to spend two rounds of movement to reach them. None of the bodyguard goblins have bows or other ranged weapons, though.
I will sheath my sword and put my shield in the back just to grab my bow and an arrow to shoot the goblins wearing skins. I will shoot one of the human skin wearing goblins the first chance I get
These guys are out of my range (javelins only have a 30' distance increment, and it sounds like these things are at least 120' away, so I'm going to take cover and get a javelin ready, maybe I can get a ranged attack off if they come a little closer. If they come closer I say we charge them.
Karl ducks behind a nearby tree and attempts to blend into the surroundings sufficiently to hide himself from the goblins.
Stealth:
1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23
He then pulls out his second javelin and waits to see if the goblins will close the distance.
Softly, he says to the others, I don't like the sound of that chanting. Erastil guide your arrows.
Svalk chants to the ancestors, asking them to provide insight to his ally, and casts guidance on Ragnar, hoping that will improve his archery against the chanting goblins.
Can anyone Spellcraft those gobbos and figure out what their chanting is doing? Maybe we should pick off the mooks at range and then close in on the casters.
As Shou has no ranged weapons that will reach the goblins from where he is and doesn't feel like charging 20 goblins alone, he will assume a defensive stance and await further developments.
Unable to figure out what they are casting and seeing them unharmed by arrows, Dagmar settle for sending a crossbow bolt at one of their bodyguards. If her companions move closer to the goblins, then she will as well, but she will not move ahead of the frontline fighters.
Seeing the distance between the group and the goblins, Velkirth ceases his orations and keeps an eye on the filthy buggers. I'm not much use this far from them sadly.
Stopping my Bardic Performance after Round 1. I could maintain it for the archers but at this distance it's not really worth it so planning on saving it for when we lock in with them again. Should leave me with 7 rds left for the day.
The goblis finish their chant. About 30 feet away from you, perhaps a bit further, a cloud of smoke burst from the ground. The acrid stench follows the smoke, as well as sounds of eerie howling. Moments later, the smoke coalesces in the form of huge two-headed mangy hound, with blood-red eyes, long forked snake-like tongues, and blackish flames burning in its two jaws.
Goblin bodyguards are screaming victoriously and they seem to be ready to charge at you, but at a sharp word from one of the Bloodskins, they turn and follow the three older goblins in the woods from where they came in the first place.
Three goblins that wear human skins are significantly older than the rest. One of them is a bit younger than the other two, though, but all three look very alike, as if brothers. On a closer look, you can see that the air around them shimmers a bit. Just before they disappear in the woods, the youngest-looking of the three Bloodskins takes something out of a small bag that he wears on his belt and presses it. The thing looks like small iron cube. The last thing you notice is that the skins they wear are skins of slain children - two boys and a girl.
You can ask five additional questions about what you see.

DM:
Do either the metal cube or the wearing of skins strike Thorolf as having anything to do with goblin/savage religions? (K religion)1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15 Alas, I do not have k arcana yet. :P
Also, do the skins appear fresh? Were they killed recently? Are there any distinguishing features about them that might give clue as to who they may have been, hair color or the like?
Other than being older and related, does anything strike him as odd about the trio? Tatoos, tribal symbols, etc...
The skins are very freshly skinned from human children, two boys and a girl, and only hours before. One boy and the girl were blonds and other boy was red-haired. Neither cube or skins are typical for goblins. Cube is obviously some kind of arcane device, marked with black triangles.
Dagmar's bolt and Karl's javelin penetrate the creature's thick skin, but then it howls and leaps at you. With one giant leap it closes the distance and its two heads snap at Svalk and Shou.
