DM

The bone golem appears across the plain of snow. The horrific humanoid figure is a large mass of bones and skulls, tied together with slick ropes of sinew.

It starts lumbering towards you.

It is Ianez's turn.

Round 1:

Ianez chants melodiously in an arcane tongue, and everyone around him (but Quinn and Caromarc; sorry about that) feels their spirits uplifted by his words. Casting good hope; take a +2 morale bonus on saving throws, attack rolls, ability checks, skill checks, and weapon damage rolls.

DM

It's La Siréene's turn.

Female Aasimar Urban Druid 9

La Siréene steps back to 28-L and starts casting Summon Monster V. Bone Golem is the primary concern. Think about Olivia later...

DM

Olivia rears up and backwards, like an umbrella blown by the rain. Her outline appears blurred, shifting, and wavering. She reaches out and casts ice storm. Great magical hailstones crash upon your heads, bludgeoning your party for 3d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 3) = 14 damage! The chill inflicts an additional 2d6 ⇒ (2, 3) = 5 cold damage to every creature in the area. A depressing heavy snow and sleet rains down.

Ianez, Sandru, Blackacre, La Siréene, MM, Elspeth, Phoebe, and the Lantern archons #1-3 each take damage and are affected by the ice storm.

Creatures inside this area take a –4 penalty on Perception skill checks and the entire area is treated as difficult terrain.

It's Caromarc's turn.

@Caromarc:
Your damage calculations look correct. Thank you.

The light rays pierce the golem, heating and cracking its yellowed bones!

Bone golem takes 15 damage.

The lone pair stand on the ice bridge, the monk and Caromarc. The ice chasm looms vast all around them. The snowy winds whip Caromarc's cape wildly about. The wizard steadies himself...raises his hand... Five magic missiles rise up from the darkness and sail through the white of the storm, five bolts of burning blue energy that cut through the air...shhhhhhwwmm, shhhhhhwwmm, shhhhhhwwmm, shhhhhhwwmm, shhhhhhwwmm....

They home in, hit the flying spectre, and knock her about, each impact radiating a pool of prismatic light. When the first one hits, she pops open her parasol and tries to block the subsequent missiles. The gesture is sadly human and ineffective.

Olivia takes 16 damage.

It's Blackacre's turn.

Female Aasimar Urban Druid 9

… Wait. The summoning spell, it is not merely diminishing away, disappearing… it is being siphoned, drawing into her shape, as intangible shapes play around her wrists, eventually forming rows of binary …

”OhGHH –” … and once again, La Siréene’s vision goes green.

UNSTABLE VOID ENERGIES SUCESSFULLY INTEGRATED INTO PATHETIC FLESH INTERFACE.

CONNECTING …

”-HHHKCHT!” The metallic static once again ends La Siréene’s moan of pain, as the binary changes, morphing into darkness, so tangible as to appear material, curling around her hands.

The world once again wavers before her eyes …

------

A shadow, empty. No texture, no body, no identity, no sex.

La Siréene faces it, standing opposite of it, dressed in nothing but the heart resting on her chest.

It stands still, at attention, patiently observing.

La Siréene tenses first, then relaxes, observing the form for a few moments until she speaks up.

”Nameless? “

The empty form shakes its head.

"ผมมีชื่อ ฉันพี่น้องเงา."

Undercommon:
”I have name. I am the Shadow Sibling.”

Pause, then the form nods to La Siréene.

"ชื่อของคุณคือ La Siréene ฉันเป็น ... สร้างขึ้นจากคุณ บางแง่มุมของคุณสัมผัสได้ถึงความเป็นโมฆะ "

Undercommon:
”Your name is La Siréene. I was… created, from you. Some aspect of you, touched by the void. “

Shadow Sibling makes a sweeping gesture.

Undercommon:
”You are self-aware. To you, all others are as constructs. Perhaps you find them interesting; you seem to dabble in them, but they are ultimately insignificant. You are the only self, so you must self-preserve. As such, I endeavor to guard you.”

The Shadow Sibling bows deep before its mistress.

"พรพระเจ้าของฉัน."

Undercommon:
"Prosper, my god."

-------

As La Siréene opens her eye, the darkness fades away, only leaving her body with a shadowy appearance.

She looks around at her allies, sees that they do exist.
She turns her attention to the Bone Golem again, a grim expression on her face.

So… within my mind, you reside, then.

จริง.

Undercommon:
Indeed.

DM

@Blackacre:
You know that bone golems are constructs used to guard the dead, made out of bones from at least a dozen medium or larger skeletons. The bony body has damage resistance that can be bypassed by adamantine weapons and/or bludgeoning weapons.

A bone golem is immune to any spell or spell-like ability that allows spell resistance. In addition, certain spells and abilities function differently against the creature, as noted below.

• Magical effects that heal living creatures slow a bone golem (as the slow spell).

• A magical attack that deals negative energy damage breaks any slow effect on the golem and heals the golem.

• A raise dead, resurrection, or true resurrection spell negates its DR and immunity to magic for 1 minute.

In addition to melee attacks, bone golems are able to magically duplicate their bones and create a bone prison, which traps and attacks those it contains. These can be destroyed, but this has no effect on the golem itself.

The shot hits and smashes a skull tied into the golem's carapace. The bony hulk creaks, but does not break.

Bone golem takes 11 damage.

It is Quinn's turn.

Thanks. Since the golem's DR is bypassed by bludgeoning weapons, I believe my gunshot should do full damage. Per http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/ultimateCombat/combat/firearms.html, firearms do both B and P damage. Not sure why - maybe paizo couldn't decide which was more appropriate.

Quinn find it hard to decide which target to fire upon. There is an internal struggle within him in firing to the female floating in the air, but two thins helps him make up his mind. It is Caromarc's response to his initial question, "If I am correct, the lady will see death as a blessing, but I doubt our attacks will do more than subdue her." and her initial acrane attack upon the monk's friends.

I trudge towards the bone behemoth, not knowing what I will so when I get there.

DM

The golem magically duplicates its bones, which fan out like fingers...more of them...more of them...a sculpture reaching up to the sky like a twisted pipe-organ made out of marrow. It breaks off some bones, and throws a round bone cage onto the Mechanical Manservant. He is caught!

The monster huffs and continues trudging in the direction of Blackacre and Sandru (move to F-27/F-28/G-27/G-28).

@MM:
Mechanical Manservant can escape the grapple normally, or can break out of the bones by dealing 15 points of damage to the prison, which has the same AC, DR, and saves as the bone golem itself. Damage to the prison has no effect on the golem.

It's Phoebe's turn.
