Exactly like that, yes. It requires the Nightmare to have a lower or equal HD to La Siréene's, but there's no save.

Here's the attack roll, for reference. 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24

It is a Spell-Like Ability, though, so the Nightmare does get an Attack of Oppertunity. I apologize for forgetting that bit.

What's the Palamino's Init? Did it burn the Nightmare's AoO for this round or last

The palomino's initiative was 10, but lower dex than Sandru, so it goes after you. It suffered the nightmare's AoO this round.

Was hoping to spare LS the AoO, but it sounds like with lower init than Sandru P would have drawn the AoO last round.

We COULD kill it, I suppose. Saves me a spell slot. And the off chance that it makes its save. Also means less information, however.

A little fact of interest. When I planned this campaign, originally the city it takes place in was Kavapesta. Once we began, I was rereading about Kavapesta and wasn't sure if it worked out (I wondered maybe it wasn't urban enough or something, although the concept was Kavapesta in the future, so maybe that wasn't that big of a deal.)

Anyway, I've just been going along saying we are in Ustalav, but technically this is "sort of" Kavapesta. :)

Someone remind me to get a masterwork item of +2 heal checks next time we shop for items. I've forgotten to twice, now.

@Sandru - I added a little description to your reading of the guest book. When I say your mind goes blank, I don't mean totally, but just as to the names you had seen.

I've updated the map. Note that because they have initials that are the same as other characters, I've represented Ludo Guillemont and Melanie Foxglove by the initial of their surnames, (the letters 'G' and 'F' respectively).

That was some rather lengthy bout of pointless small talk, so I thought I might as well put in a Diplomacy check there, mkay?

Of course, by "pointless" I don’t mean to say I am not enjoying myself. I am. This whole scene of debauchery is entertaining.

On reflection, La Siréene/Nameless could probably get along with just about anybody. It’s not like they ever get offended or upset at anything. They just curiously consider what the other have to say, compares it to their opinions, states the discrepancy in opinions in an open, straightforward and honest manner, and leave it at that. They don't get worked up about things.

@La Siréene - Pointless?! Hey ! You're getting some great characterization and information (for example what happened to Volst.)
