Rita notices Poog making his way down the ladder, Be Careful dont let stinky dog flank you she yells back.

This toad needs to die, he stopping us from getting boom boom Swinging her sword again at the toad in front of her.

attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12 for a possible dmg: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6. Her thoughts of Vorka and the Boom boom where distracting for her to make a sucessful swing at the toad.

After Swinging and missing the toad she takes a five foot step to A13 trying to block the way onto the lower deck


The Mangy Hound growls at Poog who managed to sneak away from him. He moves to follow the little goblin, but Rita steps in the way.

The hound paces back and forth on the edge of the Upper Deck, barking at the goblins below. Lead by anger, the dog decides to jump over Rita.

Seeing the dog about to jump, Rita swings her sword at the hound right as he's over her.

Attack of Opportunity: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14
Damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6

The aptly named dogslicer cuts deep into the stomach of the mangy hound, ripping open its entrails all over Rita. Eww.

Drubbus, who is getting frustrated, attempts to hit the toad again.

Poor Drubby

Frustration gets the better of him and Drubbus' swing goes no where.

The giant toad, bleeding from a large wound, croaks weakly and slowly slumps to the floor, dead.

COMBAT ROUND OVER

The orange sun nearly gone on the horizon gleams a ray of warm light across the moss-covered deck. Pools of blood left by the two dogs and the giant toad begin to puddle around the feet of the adventurers. A 20-foot wooden ladder is laying on the floor nearby.

The entrance of the main cabin remains wide open and dangling decorations of goblin bones clink together in the breeze coming off the nearby ocean.

As you all catch your breath, you all feel an eerie calm before you come to realize that it's been a few minutes since you've seen the cannibal Vorka.

Medge kicks the dead frog. "Stupid frog! Ow!" Her shoulder wound looks bad. With her uninjured hand she digs a potion out of her bag and drinks it.

Potion: Cure Light Wounds: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8

After drinking the potion Medge looks at her shoulder; it's been completely healed. "Wow, good stuff!"

i will be having refractive eye surgery today so i will not be able to post for a couple of days please PC my charactor
Rita rasies up her sword yelling HAHA You see that Vorka, your Toad is dead, And soon so will you!

Keeping her sword at the ready she looks around the ship for anything shiny or sharp, making sure the keep an eye out for the fireworks as well. perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (14) + 9 = 23


I think Poog is going out of town for a few days too. Might be best to put this on hold until next week. Meanwhile, please be detailed in where you want to go and what you want to do on the ship.

"Frog D-E-D dead. Haha! Vorka hiding up there," Poog said, pointing towards the above deck. "It scared. SCARED, you Vorka!" Poog hollered loudly where the vorka could hear.

"The gobs can take it!"

Poog stands on his tiptoes to see if he can see the Vorka on the deck above.

Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5


Rita, Medge and Drubbus watch Poog stand on his tippy toes as he tries to get a good look at the Upper Deck. Unfortunately, Poog is only a few feet tall and ends up just looking at the wall of the Main Cabin.

Drubbus carefully approaches the droor, opening it a crack and peeking inside.

Rita Walks with Drubbus Trying to see anything as drubbus open the door to the main cabin... Her hand Tightly clenched around her sword prepared for anything.

All right, let's get this show on the road.

Last week on We Be Goblins!

The party defeated an onslaught of foul dogs and slimy toads while the Goblin cannibal Vorka taunted them from above.

With the dogs and toad dead, the goblin heroes last remember seeing Vorka on the Upper Deck but haven't heard from her for the past few minutes.

Our heroes take a moment to rest, and decide to take a peek inside the ship's Main Cabin, which is also the resting place of the evil Vorka.

Opening the door, the goblins see...

The air in this cabin is thick and close, stinking of swamp and sweat, with a thick, glistening layer of mud on the floor and swaths of oily fungus clinging to the walls. Even more dangling decorations of goblin bone and animal-part fetishes hang from the ceiling on lengths of sinew here, and what appears to be a nest made of rags, sticks, mud, and castoff bits of clothing lies against the westernmost wall. But scattered amid the filth and clutter are several exotic-looking man-made objects—including a tantalizing red chest.

Rita very easily distracted by the tantalizing chest, moves into the room toward this prize in front of here.

Not losing to much vision because of the chest Rita does a quick scan of the room as she moves closer and closer to the chest.

Shinny shinny chest... let me just take a quick peek. she says as a smile creeps on her face.

Drubbus grabs Rita's hand, Wait! Remember when Drubbus open door first time! Maybe trap. Lemme check Although with my dice rolls I'm not hopeful I'll find anything

Medge picks up her second dogslicer before peeking inside the cabin. She makes a face. "Nasty gross. Vorka is like weird strange bird.". She decides to look inside Vorka's strange nest.

Poog's eyes grow big and glow red when he sees the ruby colored chest in the corner of the cabin. Hearing Drubbus mention it could be a trap brings him out of his tunnel vision, but only barely.

He decides to play it smart for now.

"Quickest way to see if trap: check for magic!" Poog declares.

Poog uses his prepared spell - Detect Magic - on the trap hoping to see if it's safe to open or not.


Both Drubbus and Poog take the time to see if they can detect anything out of the ordinary.

And they find nothing that seems odd.

"No magic protects this chest," Poog states matter-of-factly. "Gobs kill Vorka first, though," he suggested, knowing the treasure would still be here when the nasty Vorka was dead.

Poog looks back towards his companions, apparently still enamored by the red chest. Frustratedly, he says, "Gobbies, want to go kill Vorka? Make it safe then come here and take treasures." He crosses his arms and taps his foot.

"Vorka run away" Medge boasts "She probably in the middle of the swamp crying. 'Oh no, big scary gobs come and kill my dumb toad, I'm so scared'" Her impression of Vorka is dramatic and showy. She snickers at the end. "If she not scared of us, why would she go?"


What's the plan now? We moving inside and opening the chest?

Poog thinks for a moment and considers the Vorka and what Medge said. It was true, the Vorka did run and hide and her "army" of protectors were nothing compared to the group of fearsome, brave Licktoads. He changed his mind.

"You win. Chest it is. Which gob will open it up?" he asked.

He came away from the doorway to the main cabin and approached the chest. His face was eager excitement, allowing thoughts of the Vorka to completely fade away. He brought his nose in close to the chest and gave it a sniff. Nothing out of the ordinary. Ordinary being the gross mess that was the Vorka's lair.

He looked at Medge, then the rest of the group.

"Medge think we wait for the others?" he asked Medge, hoping she'd say otherwise.

Rita Steps up into the room... I will open it Rita strong and not afraid of some stupid chest

Rita slowly makes her way to the chest looking at the other gobs making sure they are ready as she opens the chest....

"Dooo itttt!" exclaimed Poog, smiling like he's waiting for Sint Licktoad (the equivalent of Santa Claus).

Drubbus feels nervous. He positions himself near the door, with his handaxe at the ready. Me no think Vorka gone. She not have stories about her if she that easy to scare. Everyone look for something to use against her while Drubbus guards door!

Drubbus peers out the door into the wilderness outside, looking for any sign that Vorka is either returning or laying in ambush for them.

Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16


Rita approaches the red chest, which looks to be made of thick and heavy wood. She's surprised to find that the chest is unlocked and opens it up.

Jackpot!

Inside, she finds:


  • 14 Desnan candles
  • 20 Paper candles
  • 7 Skyrockets

The loot seems to be enough to satisfy the chief.

Desnan Candle (5 gp): When lit, this foot-long wooden tube launches a flaming pyrotechnic “candle” every round for 4 rounds. Each projectile deals 1 point of nonlethal damage and 1 point of fire damage if it hits; on a critical hit, the target is also blinded for 1 round. The projectiles shed light as candles for 1 round and have a range increment of 5 feet. Attacking with a Desnan candle is a ranged touch attack and always has a –4 nonproficiency penalty.

Paper Candle (1 gp): This finger-sized explosive detonates noisily 1 round after lighting. Anyone in the same square as a paper candle when it explodes must make a DC 15 Fortitude save or be dazzled for 1d4 rounds.

Skyrocket (50 gp): When lit, this foot-long wooden tube begins to shake and emit a handful of white sparks, shedding light as a torch. One round later it takes flight, moving in a straight line with a fly speed of 90 for 1d6 rounds before loudly exploding in an burst of light and sound, dealing 2d6 points of fire damage in a 10-foot burst (DC 15 Reflex save for half ). If a skyrocket impacts a solid surface or a creature before reaching its maximum range, it detonates prematurely at the point of impact. Anyone who takes damage from the explosion is either blinded or deafened (a 50% chance of either) for 1 round.

Meanwhile, Drubbus keeps an eye on the door, but doesn't see any movement outside the cabin...

"Whoa-zhoa," exclaimed Poog, excited to see they found what they were looking for on this adventure. "Chief be proud.

But Poog's clerical mind was cautious to leave for the village so soon. "Vorka still outside. Gobs can't go back until she gone or dead", he said. He decided to show his bravery once more and go outside, hoping the others would follow so it wouldn't be the end of him.

Poog walks to the door near Drubbus and steps outside the main cabin, his dogslicer at the ready.

Rita, not wanting to be over shined by anyone else follows Poog outside the main cabin.

Drawing her Gorge Closer to her making sure to be able to defend herself if vorka tries something sneaky.

"Rita will follow you out, we can kill vorka, she is just a Fat Smelly gob and she doesnt scare Rita BigBad." Making sure to be loud enough that if vorka is close by she will hear this taunt

"Lotsa boom booms!" Medge squeals when they open the chest. The chief is going to be so happy!

Rita's taunt makes Medge giggle. "Yeah, she just smelly gob! If she here we take care of her good!". She pulls out both dogslicers and heads out behind Rita.

Poog steps outside and makes his way to the safe space between the door entryway and the ladder (Main Deck, B 12), Dogslicer in hand.

He looks up at the crows' nest, where the Vorka was last seen, to see if it was still there.

Drubbus thinks that the Skyrockets would make good weapons against Vorka. He grabs one and goes back outside. Putting his handaxe away, but keeping it easy to grab, he also decides to climb the pole to get a better view of the surrounding area...

struggling with the climb, he keeps trying until he gets to the top, at which point he looks around the area looking for any sign of Vorka.

"What you see, Drub?" asks Poog from below.

Medge decides to go have a look at the second level, where the dogs were chained. But if the Vorka is there...maybe Medge'll do it sneaky, just in case. stealth: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (9) + 11 = 20

She climbs the ladder..climb: 1d20 ⇒ 17..and then pokes her head over the top. Maybe she'll find something shiny up here instead of dumb Vorka! perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19

Sorry guys, I was out of town but plan to do a big update tonight


It seemed to happen all at once.

As the sun began to set on the horizon, it was difficult for Drubbus to notice the two figures standing on the upper deck as he climbed the mast.

So it was Medge who first noticed them. As she made her way up the ladder to the Upper Deck, she saw Vorka standing at the other end grinning a sharp toothy grin. The goblins were expecting to find Vorka, but they were not ready for dog sitting next to her.

The hound was not like anything beast they've seen before - at least in size. Sitting on its hindquarters, the hound was taller than Vorka herself.

Unlike the mangy hounds the goblins fought earlier, this beast sat calmly with dark gray eyes and several strings of slobber dripping from its mouth.

Medge calls back to Poog and Rita. The three climb the ladder to the Upper Deck ready to face to horrible cannibal Vorka, while Drubbus remains in the crows nest of the aft mast.

Vorka, who seems to be chewing, tosses a bloody leg of sorts off the banister of the Upper Deck.

She pulls out her scimitar and points it at the group: "You stoopid little goblins try to steal for Vorka. Vorka will burn your bones and drink your ash!"

Cue big boss battle music

Vorka closes her eyes and begins to mumble what seems to be a spell of sorts but the goblin party is unable to hear the exact words. Within seconds, the party begins to hear the sound of scratching and scuttling below deck. To their surprise, they see a squirming, roiling mass of squeaking rats climb over the railings.

The rat swarm separates the group from Vorka and Cuddles leaving no way to get to the other side save the rigging between the two masts. Think quickly though because the swarm has a mind of its own and will move on friend and foe.

Medge focuses on the rat swarm. She casts Sleep on the swarm...hoping that maybe she can get Vorka or the giant slobber dog too.

Poog, with a concerned and frustrated look on his face, can't decide what to do. He's got one javelin left, and while throwing it at the pile of rats would be like hitting fish in a barrel, it wouldn't solve the larger problem. His Dogslicer would require him to get closer, and would likely have no greater effect than a javelin.

He crinkles his green, gobliny forehead and decides to wait and see if Medge puts the rats to sleep...

I know I'm out of turn, this is just in case I don't get to post in time.

Drubbus uses his last tindertwig to light the firework he holds. He aims it at Vorka, and with such a big boom hopes his aim doesn't have to be perfect...

It roars towards Vorka with a mighty thunder...

damage: 2d6 ⇒ (2, 1) = 3 Fire Damage (just in case I hit)

really? 2d6 and I get a 3? Please at least let this clear out the rats or something helpful. I can't seem to get good rolls to save anybody's life :)

Drubbus waits, expecting a spectacular explosion from the firework he shot. Even if he misses, he expects a good show. I've never seen rocket move so slow! He exclaimed. He ponders climbing down from the crow's nest, walking on top of rats, climbing up to deck, and beating up Vorka while she's frozen in a space-time abstraction.....
