Lazlo is up.

It may not be obvious but the icon in the new room is the Dog that's barking. You are all raised up on a walkway around the top of the room, there are steps down from where you are if you follow it around. The children aren't on the map because 1) There are around 26 of them, and 2) They aren't acting in any way that matters to you as yet.

I am guessing no surprise round since the dog blew our cover.

Posting all actions at once is fine with me.

The sound of metal moving against hardened leather was heard as Lazlo unsheathed his rapier. After looking around, he jumps down, races towards the dog and attempts to impale it with a basic, text book thrust.

Attack Roll: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20

Damage Roll: 1d6 ⇒ 1 Well 1 damage is better than a miss I guess...

EDIT: forgot to roll acrobatics.

Acrobatics: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19

I'm not worrying about the surprise round, since you all get an action before the dog due to the init, and it needs to get up, it's not going to do much.....

The acrobatics check means you take no damage, but you *do* land prone. I'm happy to take the move to get you falling as a 5ft step, but you then need to make a move action to get up, and another move action to get to the dog, leaving you no actions to attack it. So, which square do you want to end up in?


I'll just take a move action to stand up and a standard action to demoralize the dog

A glare of pure hatred and anger shot from Lazlo's eyes, he purposefully let his rapier move along the floor then swung it to a readied position in an instant, causing an annoying screech to escape the floor at his feet.

Yeah, I'm assuming 10ft. A DC15 Acrobatics check will remove the first D6 damage. You can make acrobatics checks untrained ;)

If I'm allowed to start there, move up 2 move 4 over to the position above the creature (at M9)

Alex moves forward, but does so in a reserved manner, so that he is still ready to fight. Standing above the demihuman with a pike, he calmly swings the weapon at the creature's Kukri.

Just to be clear, the gnome is at J7. The dog was at J9. and the orc you are about to meet is at L9. I didn't mean to expose him just yet, but missed it before the upload.

Alex moves into the room, threatening the "child".

The dog runs at Basil Move to h9 and attempts to bite him. atk: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18 dmg: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4.

From below the walkway a half-orc steps, and begins laughing.

The Orc steps forward and goes to punch Lazlo in the back of the head (Lazlo get's an AoO first, someone make that please)

End of Combat. 235 XP each, and since i forgot before, 50 XP for putting the first guy to sleep.

Heal DC10 Gnome:
The gnome is unconscious but not that badly hurt, he should wake in a few hours with some new bruises.

Heal DC10 Orc:
The orc is probably a half-orc. He is losing blood, if he isn't treated he'll probably die.

The children stand around in the corner, whispering to each other and generally looking scared.

He fumbles in his pouch for some coins and gets out 1 gold and 9 silver and jingles in his hand.

Whose the three kids here that you all trust the most - come forward - I'll give you coin enough for a day or two - hie yerselves off to any of the places of refuge of Cayden. Give them the coin and them one will be along later to sort out the balance... I can't offer you the same life this bastard Lamm has but mabbe I can try to give ya a better one.

Three of the older/larger kids step forward, and silently take the coins. One of them then moves to the gnome, takes a key and lets themselves out of the doors in the far corner of the room to where you came in.

The kids then all flee after the first three.

Lazlo looks at the kids and at the others. "I'm going to make sure they don't get that taken off them by the first grown up they meet. Desna's grace, how much cash did you give them?"

Without waiting for an answer, Lazlo darts through the door.

Have an other 50XP each.

Ok, what now. There is one remaining door that will take you back up to the front street level, and back towards the street.
