@Dreyyn - if you get a Ring of Protection +1 instead of upgrading your armour, you can get a Quickrunners shirt which is sorta both useful and fun : )
It lets you spend a swift action to take a move action 1/day. That means you could use a swift action to move (and tumble, for all that synergy) then take a full attack action to strike with both ends of your weapon (and your itterative attack, once you hit 6).
Otherwise, I would recommend simply heading over to d20 pfsrd and taking a look at the cheaper wondrous items, there are many that are fun (and some that are also useful :P).
@Melee Al - If it is going to work somewhere, it is probably in mythic : ) And with E6, we are not going to run away too far ahead with BaB anyway!
If you were looking at temporary ways to become a warrior, the Blood Reservoir of Physical Prowess can be fun! (with the Scabbard of Vigor, you could theoretically get off an +8 to hit/ +10 to damage round : )).
The item lets you store your blood in a bottle (take 4 con damage, can be healed as normal) and either use the 'blood charges' to restore physical ability damage on a 1:1 basis, or expend all the charges to gain an inherent bonus to an physical ability equal to the charges x2.
But given our lack of cleric, the item might be a bit too annoying. Not sure : )

Nethan finds a wonderful boon that radiates Legendary Power. It is an intricate gold cylinder about inch wide and a foot long. However, he can not seem to get the cylinder working at this time and places it in his bag of holding where it will be safe until he can figure out how to use it.
Save it until later when I can take the upgradeable ability for my Legendary circlet. I really can't find anything I want for 12K, most of the items I want cost more or are not possible at this time ... lol
Elise of the Red Hill |
@Blood Reservoir - Yeah, the item is fun, but the drawbacks do make themselves known :P
I have it on my sorcerer with a somewhat martial bend, but that campaign much higher in level. By then Lesser Restoration is readily available and 2000gp isn't that much, so it is much easier to utilize.
Edit: Now, on a Scared Witchdoctor (Witch archetype that uses Con instead of Int), the item is just mean :P
(+4 DC on one spell/encounter if I buy an Wand of Lesser Restoration too? Sweet!)
Edit2: Hmm. When I typed the above, I realized Elise Fire Breath would also benefit from it (once she gets it!). Hmm.
I *might* have to revise my list...
(Or try and get it later. But this place does feel like the right spot to snag 'something of Blood' from :P)
Dreyyn |
OK, going with
Ring of Protection +1
Jingasa of the Fortunate Soldier
Belt of STR +2
Cloak of Resistance +1
Alþórel |
@Al: Well, remember that the Eldred ancestors are Elves, so you could have found a very old golarion tome.
Happy with that :)
Dang. There were a few things in there that had me suspecting that they were a manufactured race created by Tar Baphon in the image of Elves. Ah well... All my conspiracy theories were pointed the wrong way!Nethan Ryon Akerman |
I may decide to go with one and make it legendary at the next tier if possible.
I was thinking of going with a Crystal Hilt, making my weapon +2 ATK/DAM + d6 Acid. These things are not cheap and will take 11,200 gps ... ugh!. If permissible and everything turns out, this would be the item I would make legendary at Tier 2. Kind of reminds me of a light saber ... lol.
Character wise, I think the two legendary items would fit being a son of Nethys. One fits my magical prowess and other psionics.
Nethan Ryon Akerman |
Is the above ok, GM Radiance?
Elise of the Red Hill |
Yeah, I think we did. But I'm not sure if we went further then cloaks with the hood up and throwing a rope over the wall :P
Elise of the Red Hill |
From a metagame standpoint, escaping trough the sewers seems better.
We can't really get lost forever and just die/wander off (or atleast probably not, wouldn't make a good story :P) and Radiance gets to throw whatever sewer monsters he brewed up. And if he mostly focused on making cool guards/manor dwellers, they can come down and case us too .P
And as a bonus point, we don't have to awkwardly face that kid (whom Al prophetized would die a violent and soon death [which we may accidentally bring]). Aka there will be less civilians to bother with : )
Now, the drawback is that we don't really know exactly *were* we will emerge. I mean, if we pull off the manhole cover right infront of a guardpost we won't get far without blood...
@Radiance - random thought: have we seen anything about the sewer system while we wandered about in the city?
Things like manholes or perhaps even exit pipes

I am going to use my 12,000 gps for a Crystal Hilt +1 and 80 pps, is this acceptable?
Nethan Ryon Akerman |
Oh. I have to pick 300gp of extra spells...
2 3rd and 2 1st.
Ablative Barrier
Twilight Knife
Heightened Awareness
Shield
I'll do that at 6th level ... :-)
Nethan Ryon Akerman |
@Nethan: The upgrade you chose does sound fine, though it seems to be the only one you'll be taking out of here with that price!
Ugh, I know! Thank you!
Nethan Ryon Akerman |
GM Radiance, is the stone compass used to find Atenzuki still flashing red? Nethan looked at the compass again before departing into the sewers to see if it was still flashing red and pointing to another far location.

Temporary Tangent ...
For Fallout fans, official Fallout 4 announcement in about 20 hours and a few minutes.
Nethan Ryon Akerman |
One Last FO Tangent ... BOOM!
Alþórel |
Yay Fallout! I don't think there's a release date yet, though...
Aahh! I'm sure these conjuration objects are some sort of trap, but I have nothing IC to base it on! It's the classic thing where a GM goes [b]"Which boot are you putting on first and suddenly you're convinced one is a mimic!
Nethan Ryon Akerman |
Or it could be nothing and the GM is trying to freak us out ... :-)
Dreyyn |
Yay Fallout! I don't think there's a release date yet, though...
that is supposed to come out at E3 this year
Nethan Ryon Akerman |
Now I guess I have to play through all of The Tale of Two Wastelands instead of keep on testing mods.
Elise of the Red Hill |
In addition to Fallout, we can't forget that the new XCOM trailer came out a few days ago too. E3 is going to be interesting this year!
(Now, if they only announce/preview Mirror's Edge 2 then I'll be ecstatic!)
Nethan Ryon Akerman |
I thought XCOM 2 already came out or was that live beta?
Elise of the Red Hill |
If there are just 3-6 of them, the food Elise has should be an abundant meal. 7-10 it is still about a full days worth of food each. More then that, it starts to become too little...
On the bright side, having some friends down here could be really helpful if we have to return : )
Tenro |
Heads up,
My posts will be sparing for the next day. I will be flying on a trip. The trip will be mostly leisure, but I will be working via phone/laptop. As such, I will still have time to post.
If you are one of those folks that has estimated the approximate times I am typically online, I will be on at different times. Five hour time zone difference will have me signing off five hours early, but also a drastically reduced work schedule will have me begin posting much earlier.
Alþórel |
Good idea Elise!
I was thinking of having Al try to talk to them. He can disguise himself, and he speaks Elven and Draconic. Does he think he could 'talk the talk' and imitate the way they're speaking?
Elise of the Red Hill |
Mutated elves make useful sidekicks and minions, or so I heard from my friend Everblight ...
@Amelia - If you want to join the fun, just assume Elise will translate everything you ask of her : )
@Team - I wonder how Atenzuki feels about these guys ...
GM_Radiance |
The next place where I am assuming the group is going to head is meeting up with Daeron and going back to the outpost where you visted when you first arrived. You now know more about this world and partly what it was created for. So I can throw in some more about the main story or you can take a side quest from the area if you like. This is also where you can try to congolomarate any allies you have. Like the dwarf that is still here and the 3 red Eldred you met in the Well. Daeron as well, with the otherworldly mercenaries. The plan is to have it as a base of operations where you can bring more people to, such as the mutants if you do want to convince them to come with you.
We could always just keep roaming around the world with no base too, whatever suits the group. :D
Elise of the Red Hill |
A base of some sort would be nice, it would make it easier to get our bearings right . )
Also, I can't open the event 2 spoiler
Elise of the Red Hill |
@Adopting - Maybe once we have a somewhat more stable place to put them :)?
@Base - The idea grows on me more and more. Maybe we could even have a map of some sort (doesn't need to be detailed or pretty!), so it is easier to keep track of were everything is
Edit: IC post - I'm still pondering what to do. My school term is over, but still a bit drained. Hopefully I'll get some inspiration soon . )

I apologize for my absence, yesterday (Friday) was a rough day. We had to euthanasia our 11 year old family cat due to incurable and fatal feline kidney disease and later that day, we had to bring our dog to Vet ER. The dog is mostly OK but she is still showing signs she may need more vet care but she is doing far better than the cat. I will be getting caught up during the day. And if I am ever absent because of real life, please bot me to keep the story moving. Thank you.
Nethan Ryon Akerman |
Thanks all regarding my cat and the dog. The dog is doing much better. We call her goat dog because she has a bad habit of eating things she shouldn't and probably ate something behind her Dog Day Care handler's back. I am hoping that our dog can stay healthy for a while now. In the last few weeks, we have paid the vet $1200 and they get more today because my dog is getting her stables out from an earlier accident with another dog.
