Merchants, thieves, master of war. All have heard the tails of fortune and fame that the great city of Hara bestows on its citizens. The last ship set to cross the Naga Sea before the winters freeze comes has set course to Hara. As a lost soul, you hope to find new meaning in Hara and climb abroad at the port of Eerie. Its 4 week by sea from Eerie to Hara and the journey is not a kind one. The ship holds 100 people and yet there seems to be well over that amount on board. Foods running low and sickness takes hold. 2 weeks into the journey there’s talk of turning around. Then comes a evening that seems to last forever. The air is thick and the night’s sky is black as death with no stars in site. Fog starts to settle about blocking out what little light the ship torches give out. The captain call out “ ALL HANDS ON DECK “ . With the ship’s crew feeling up the deck, you’re thrown to the ground as if the ship struck something. Crawling to the edge of the ship expecting to see the ship run up on something you see nothing. The fog is so thick you can’t tell were the ship ends and the water begins. Then another bump that knocks everyone on deck down followed by a loud crack. You turn to see what going on but the fog has consumed all. You can’t even see more that 5 ft in front of you. Scream start to cry out followed by the splash of something hitting water. Fear grabs hold of you and your frozen in place with one hand on the ships railing. Water come rushing over the side and your world go black.
The sounds of the ocean crashing ashore wakes you. Sun blinds your eyes as you open them. Your body, which is barely able to move is covered by pieces of wood and sand fills you mouth. As you get up you see dead body’s all around the beach, pieces of what look like your ship wasting ashore and a few other survivors moving about. As you start to look about more you see a tall cliff that border all side of the beach cutting it off from the rest of the island it seems. 3 huge looking cave are carved into the cliff sides at random places . As you look back to the ocean you see beautiful blue water that meets a wall of blackness. this wall seems to go one forever each way. After a short amount of time you notice that the few survivors are gathering were the main part of the ship wasted ashore.
Feel free to get up and search the area and introduce your self to the other survivors.
Demya Dalliante |
After some time the young woman opened her eyes and brushed off the detritus covering her. She looked around to examine what in the blazes had happened. She recalled a ship. Right, she was making it across the sea. But she didn't think they would reach their destination for a few more days.
A crash.
That's right, Demya recalled the crash. She must have survived. But who else did? She struggled against sore muscles to get up and search. "Hello? Is anyone out there?" she called out to any possible survivors.
Alistair Eclesiasticus |
Alistair rises slowly and looks at his surroundings. He takes an extra long look at the wall of blackness somewhat confused. Desna's wings! My first time venturing outside of Sandpoint and I end up here.
Alistair kneels down and begins prayer. Finishing his prayer time Alistair Stands and prepairs himself for the aftermath of that hellish evening. You are not alone. Are you ok? Alistair aproaches the lady. I am Alistair Eclesiatticus. Acolyte of Desna.
Demya Dalliante |
"Oh, I'm Demya. Pleased to meet you, Mr. Eclesiatticus." She looked around up and down the beach.
"Seems like we've run ashore. Maybe we should find some shelter or civilization? And check to see who's okay."
Plik Brish'tok |
A little green kobold with a orange-tinged belly sits with a start, and spits out sand. "Blah! All my things! All my things scattered about...."
He scrambles around throwing disparate gear into a backpack - dusting off grit with a whiny grumble. "... and covered in sand and wet."
"I'm Plik. Not near Hara are we?" He scans the horizon, while lashing a bear trap to his backpack.
"Yes. See who still lives, then shelter." Other than the worry over his gear, the kobold sounds almost pleased with the current situation.
perception (looking for possible threats): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21
GM Bourgeoisx |
please don't read other ppls spoilers btw
after taking a more critical look around something's seems off. No threats, no wind, no birds in the sky or ground. there nothing , its as if the only alive and moving in the world is the few survivors. everything looks ok but your bot buying it.
Plik Brish'tok |
Plik continues to squint peering along the horizon a moment longer.
"Dead quiet..."
He nudges a couple bodies with his foot as he walks back from the nearby vantage point.
"I see no other dangers, Alistair Eclesiatticus Acolyte of Desna, and Demya. No signs of local life at all."
Demya Dalliante |
"Looks like someone's an optimist!" It was good that the survivors still had hope. Better than people thinking they were done for. Demya started looking about for any other survivors or supplies from the ship wreckage.
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19
GM Bourgeoisx |
after searching body after body Alistair starts to realize that the only people alive are him and the 2 others. but this is a big beach and there still more body's about to search. with luck more survivors will be found.
the beach is just the gathering point for everyone. hopefully more ppl check in by tomorrow. if not we will just move on with 3 ppl.
{Daz} |
A hobgoblin coughs and retches as he suddenly comes too. As he regains his composure and covers his sick with sand, he looks around mutters to himself.
Oh yeah, this is definitely going to help my hatred of boats.
Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25
Demya Dalliante |
Demya hands over the box to the priest. "Looks like some sort of cargo. Or maybe a shiphand owned this. Probably some petty cash or emergency supplies if it's that one."
As something moves in the wreckage, she bounds over filled with hope. "I think this guy's alive!"
Plik Brish'tok |
By the time Demya hands the box over to Alistair, Plik realizes he was the one "with all the tools."
"Yes. The tools are mine now, but locks?... I don't know locks."
He looks over at the one just coming to, and nods.
"Chances better now. Four is good. Survival is work. Can do twice as much now, and no one alone."
Alistair Eclesiasticus |
Alistair eyes the box.Hmmmm.... well i suppose i could.... lets see.. He throws the box using both hands as high in the air as he can while running away from what he hopes is the landing zone. not sure if i need any rolls here. i want the box to crack open.

Daz
as you sit up and try to focuses a female human come bolting over. you recognize the rather muscular female from the boat. after standing, you look around and see 2 other from the boat. A small kobold that give you a node and a crazy human male running from what looks like a flying box.
Alistair
the box flys high in the air and comes crash down with a loud thump. the sounds of glass and wood braking is hear the moment the box hits the ground. among the broken wood and glass containers that was holding some type of liquid lay 4 sunrods, 50ft silk rope, 1 Alchemist's fire that's wrapped up in cloth so not to brake.
At this point in the day the sun starting to set
Alistair Eclesiasticus |
[/b]Hmmm... Well...Very nice. That's something anyway.[/b] He calls out the contents of the box, more concerned with the new comer than the contents themselves, as he puts it in his bag. Sorry, I broke some of it. Does anyone want some of This. Kobold? It's a really nice rope.
Alistair Eclesiasticus |
Alistair walks around eyes to the beach one more time to try and escape the ire of his party. he wonders closer to Cave B. Stop looking at me hobgoblin. He mutters under his breath as he takes a closer look at the cave. What do we do now?

Plik Brish'tok |
Plik catches the glance from Daz and replies with a nodding "what-can-you-do..." shrug. He then looks over Daz's backpack, and nods.
"Packed with experience. Good. I am Plik."
He looks over to the silk rope from the busted box.
"Is nice. I have rope, but more rope is good."
"We should wait until morning to explore inland, yes? So now... build shelter or try a cave?"
GM Bourgeoisx |
Alistair, use d20 rolls for perception
As you get closer you here voices coming from the cave. sounds human like but you cant make out that there saying fully. " Danger....ge........beach.....help...ru...NOW"
the voice sends chills down you back and freezes every muscle in your body. after the voices go silent your body is able to move again.
{Daz} |
Daz looks towards the setting sun.
Not sure we're going to have enough time to build a shelter Plik. Let's go help the human with that cave, it's probably safer if we stick together.
Daz heads toward cave B to meet up with the human keeping an eye out for signs of movement.

Demya Dalliante |
Demya studies her new companion's face. "What's wrong, Mr. Eclesiasticus? Looks like you've seen a ghost or something."
She turns to the setting sun and the wall of darkness upon the horizon, letting off a small sigh. "Maybe we could use a night's sleep to come to terms with all this." she ponders as she heads toward Cave B.
Perception, just in case: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7

Standing out side the cave its opening is huge but it does not look naturally made. its a perfect circle with smooth looking edges. almost like it was cut out. what little light that's left from the sun is only able to shine about 10 feet in and after that complete darkness.
Alistair Eclesiasticus |
THAT CAVE TALKS!....Sorry. that cave just told me there was danger. And now that i think of it i dont know if it was telling me to run from the beach...... or too it. Here Kobold. come stand here he motions plik to the cave.
GM Bourgeoisx |
As your running into the cave all goes black. its the same feeling you had right before you passed out on the ship but your still awake this time. you cant see anything but black. you know your legs are moving still but you can tell if your actually moving. fear starts to grip hold and then a small light comes into view.
once everyone get here I will explain more
the party sees Demya through caution aside and run into the cave. once she reaches the point were the sun meet the shadow her hole body vanishes.
GM Bourgeoisx |
since most of the party is moving into the cave I going to move everyone to help things out.

NOW COME FORTH MY SLAVES AND CLAME THESE MORTALS!"
{Daz} |
Disembodied voices and magical darkness? This will make for an exelent base after the slaves are cleared!
Daz sounds like he is getting excited.
I wonder what else this island has hidden away...
GM Bourgeoisx |
murochi, go ahead and join the group. will make things ezer.
After a few moments the darkness starts to dissipate and the outline of a large cave comes into view. a few more moments go by and all is back to normal. you find yourself in a large cave with the entrance you came in at is now sealed. light shines from glowing balls on the celling and the smell of rotting flesh feels the air. within seconds of come back to this world you hear the sounds of metal dragging against stone. a loud moan ecos off the walls about. somethings coming...and its not friendly

Demya starts running towards the mysterious voice. "Nobody's claiming anybody if I've got anything to say about it!"
She should run thirty feet northeast. I can't move her for some reason.
