"I fear, as members of the Myrial, captains might take it as a threat for us to request "protection" money. I'll book us passage on one of the merchant vessels, but I would rather not dirty my hands with ropes and such, so I will pay. Which of you want to join the crew for the voyage, and which will pay their way?"
How much for each of us on one of the merchant ships?

Once they've made their decisions, Chimon reports back to one of the captains. He gives them the names of those of his companions who'll be working, then hands over his twenty-five gold measures.

The boat sets sail, arriving in Qadira, Katheer to be precise, after two days of sailing. Thankfully, no giant sea monsters attack the ship.
The city bustles with trade, if not quite as much as Absalom. Street peddlers line every inch of main street, hawking their wares with a rarely seen enthusiasm. The streets are incredibly crowded, even in the oppressive heat of this desert nation.

What exactly do you ask about?
Basic information is that it sort of wanders aimlessly, but generally does a circuit of the desert, completing it every three months or so. The creature last passed through the city you stopped in about a month ago.
There is also word that a sort of cult has sprung up around it in recent years, so it would be best to be wary of humans and other races watching over the creature.

Well, here's the post I had drafted before the maintenance:
"Talryn, are you able to track well in sand? If not, I suggest we see if the town of Dimayen has any inkling as to the whereabouts of the golem's tower's ruins." Chimon removes his heavier outer garments, rolling up the sleeves of his white shirt and trousers. He samples the local cuisine, but sticks to conjured eggs, bread, and spinach between settlements.
"Jo, can you find out where the next area it's set to pass through is? If we move quickly, and don't get lost, we may be able to beat it."
We could try divination once we get within a week of it.

He wants to know if you can find out where the Golem will go next... If we leave now, we can get there before it does, therefore "ambushing" the golem.

Talryn can carry jo while flying. Easier that way.

Survival checks:5d20 ⇒ (19, 20, 20, 6, 9) = 74
Talryn is...really good at survival. My bonus is a +9 or +11 if someone aid anothers.

How many people can Aid? He, miraculously, ALMOST has the DC to track a creature who passed through here a month ago, but that +30-ish to the DC puts it juuuust out of his reach.

Just got word Chimon had a tooth pulled and probably won't post tonight, so here's his Aid.
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12
All right! With his +4, you can actually pick up the trail.
Talryn, amazingly, picks up the trail of the golem that tromped over the cracked earth a month ago. It is hard going at firt, but as you cover ground the trail gets easier to follow.
Thankfully you rolled a 19 and two 20's. Every day of tracking shaves a couple off the DC.
After a week of tracking, you catch sight of the golem in the distance, trudging slowly along, heedless of the desert winds and glaring sun.
We only have one more test to does, to find out what the golem do when two or more opponents face him. I can only create one illusion, so, Any brave man here?
