Male Human Spellscar Oracle 6

Sense Motive, DC 20: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11

"What's the word for animal husbandry when it's not animals?"

Farmer ponders. "...Husbandry? I don't know the right word when it's not animals."

Farmer Odell wrote:

"So..." the voice is ever so slightly wry, "You wish to help with the management and conservation of my resources?"

Male Human Spellscar Oracle 6

"I could," Farmer says. "Not sure I should say what else I was offering in front of Aka here. She's very proper."

Aka colors noticeably, she smiles at Farmer with a rueful shake of her head. "Not that proper." she whispers.

Male Human Spellscar Oracle 6

Farmer nods. "Bed companionship," he says. "People seem to go in heat a lot."

Female Human Paladin 6

Aka's color deepens further.

Farmer Odell wrote:

There is a long moment of quiet from above. Then Pentosh's voice, with just a hint of a low purr. "Well... In that case, why don't you come up here and we can see if we suit." A dry, wry note, "I'm sure your allies can find something more interesting than eavesdropping."

Sense Motive DC 20:
DANGER WILL ROBINSON.

DANGER.

"I'll do it if that's what it takes..." He can't quite bring himself to finish the sentence.

Male Ratfolk Gulch Gunner 6

Willem notes Aka's coloring and nods to himself. "People do go into heat a lot."

At the sound of Pentosh's voice, Willem starts. "Mr. Odell, I fear going up alone would be a mistake."

Female Human Sorcerer/6

"Yeah. What Willem said," agrees Pasara. Shaking her head, she continues, mostly for Aka's benefit, "在地牢爬行性感的時候從來都不是一個好主意。"

"Well, that's one thing Willem and I agree on." Akatsuki says, then louder, "No dice, Sister. Don't know what you planned, but it's time for you to come out and surrender or suffer the consequences."

Aka begins to walk up the wall trying to get a glimpse of the alchemist, arrow ready, but not fully drawn.

Regardless of speaking, only 2 rounds of spells cast have been used.

Fire in the Belfry or Battle of Alchemy - Pre-Combat

Realizing that her ploy to separate the group (if, in deed, that had been her agenda) Pentosh goes to her back-up plan. Sadly, for Aka at least, the plan does not involve surrender.

Aka, peaking up from her wall perch, sees Pentosh's right hand tightly held a flail and a small glass vial in her left. When the alchemist sees Aka, she uses her partially full left hand to pull another vial from her bandolier - downing it quickly.

Aka and Black Willem have a move or standard action in the surprise round in addition to their round 1 actions.

Please see email for map. Please note that only Pentosh and Aka are on the Belfry level. Everyone else is on the level below with Willem just at the base of the where the stairs would be visible to the woman above.

GM:
Mana, just for clarification, can Pasara see Pentosh from where she stands? I would think not, but I don't want to miss an opportunity if she can and I am just misreading things.

Pasara:
Not from where she is. But if she can get into the square in front of Willem she will be able to. However, Pentosh would have some cover. But, on the positive, Pasara would have a cover bonus from her.

Female Human Sorcerer/6

Round 01:

Not having any spells that can reliably go around corners, Pasara moves alongside Willem. She lets the heavily magically protected ratfolk go ahead of her; she can cast over his head and feels no desire to be between Willem (and his boomstick) and Willem's target.

GM: Just move maneuvers this round.

Alchemy v Alchemy, Fire v Sulfur - Round 1

Farmer mutters and draws his hands across his eyes, peering into the firmanent. A familiar summoning sort of cadence.

Willem scuttles, walking on the air, up to Pentosh and blasts her. Despite the slight force deflection around her, Willem's lead flies true, sparking in something of Pentosh's leathers momentarily - although the woman manages to quickly put out the flames.

"I really would advise giving up, Lady. Unless I'm missing something, you are heavily outnumbered." Akatsuki makes the suggestion even as arrows fly from her bow. "Sunlight at Dawn" Her shots must only be a warning though - because the first is deflected by Pentosh's force shield and the second does quite penetrate the woman's leathers.

Pentosh takes a step around Willem, moving so that small ratkin is between her and the archer on the wall. She flicks something from her jacket into the held glass vial then throws it into Willem's face, with a careful spin that leaves her untouched by the fire - although if there was anyone around Willem they would be heavily singed. Willem takes 20 points of fire damage.

Not having any spells that can reliably go around corners, Pasara moves alongside Willem. She lets the heavily magically protected ratfolk go ahead of her; she can cast over his head and feels no desire to be between Willem (and his boomstick) and Willem's target.

Eek. I forgot to roll initiative last round. I'll include a roll here, which you're free to ignore and continue having Pasara go last this combat.

Initiative: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20

Not wanting to accidentally hit Willem with her less accurate but fun to watch Scorching Ray Pasara falls back on a tried and true friend. She extends her right index finger at Pentosh and lets loose three force bolts.

Female Human Sorcerer/6

Round 10 (Fixed):

GM: Thanks, I don't think I read those spoilers.

Since Pentosh has a Shield spell up, Pasara grimaces. Knowing she can't use her foolproof spell, she opts for dangerous and hopefully effective. Pasara extends her right index finger at Pentosh and lets loose a beam of fire, hoping not to hit Willem by accident.

"Արդյոք խնդրում հարձակվել Pentosh. Նա մեկ հակառակորդ Վարպետ Վիլլեմ, ով rat." Farmer yells to Gigi the air elemental. He peers through this hands at the space around him.

Auran:
"Do please attack Pentosh. She is the one opposing Master Willem, who is a rat."

The air elemental, almost directly on the far side of Pentosh from Willem, swings an airy fist which just barely manages to tag the alchemist.

Willem grimly reloads and puts another shot into her. (1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14) Pentosh does take advantage of that split second of inattention in an attempt to brain the rat with her flail... but can't overcome the heavy metal shell encasing the nimble rat. Willem shot, on the other hand, tears through the magical force barrier.

Sadly, her care means that she also misses Pentosh.

"Bölvaðir markmið!" she spits.

Skald:
"Cursed aim!"

Akatsuki walks farther up the wall, Looking for an angle to make a head shot all the more likely. "Sorry Lady, still outnumbered." Akatsuki replies, "My count says we have faith, magic and your weird cultish science." She says the last with a bemused smile in Willem's direction, then lets another arrow fly.

With a quick move, Pentosh moves back around Willem - away from Gigi - and grabs a vial with a flourescent pink liquid inside. With a cocky grin, she tosses the vial at Aka, where is explodes in a light pink which briefly engulfs the archer perched high on the wall. DC 19: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19 Aka's barkskin is dispelled.

Perception DC 15 (no take-10):

"Better than your science, apparently." she remarks wryly and if Pentosh goes down dropping lightly to the floor below.

Which punctures mundane and alchemical defenses, scoring a deep wound and free flowing blood.

Fenyx will move up to just be able to see Pentosh and fire a Force blast on Pentosh. Sadly his magic missile like ability is halted dead by the woman's shield-like defenses.

At this point the woman is looking pretty hashed, but she still has a number of various reagents at her fingers - should she get a chance to use them.
